Tao took in each and every strike Haine parried. Like he thought, the lieutenant had high marks in swordsmanship, save the last which was in fact a fluke on his part. He was caught off gaurd by the surprize, he didn't notice Haine's surprize attack as well. With only a split second to react, he instinctively raised his blade to guard, but came up too hight.
Her blade knicked him below the guard, cutting slightly at the knuckles. He stepped back, giving them some time to recupperate. He looked down at his hand, the knuckles bleeding slightly. A smile came to his face. "Impressive, Lieutenant. I give you merits, you are indeed quite skilled with the sword. So..." he reached down and pulled out his second blade, Keibatzu. "Seems like I'll have to go at this wholeheartedly now, just to see what your limits are." He shunpoed again, appearing beside her and striking with both swords in a horizontal slash, focusing his riatzu within the blade to give it more juice.

She gave a small gasp as both swords came down on her, and she instantly moved her own upwards to block it.
She noticed an increase in strength, and in response, pushed against the blades with even more force. Her eyes narrowed in determination, as she comtemplated a battle plan.
Her skills would be useful, but if he decided to use Bakudou..She might be in trouble. Nonetheless, Haine's frown turned to a grin as she contined pushing against the opposing force.
"Thank you for your compliments, Ashiku-Taichou. I'm glad that I've been able to gain your interest."

"More than that, Lieutenant," he smiled. "I've realized that I have to see all that you've got." He pushed more riatzu into the blades, forcing Haine back a little. "I want to see how well you work with your Zanpakuto, now. Release your shikai."
He was willing to take her to her limits if it would help improve her as a soul reaper. Tough situations like this are what bring out the best in people, he found.

"I see." She said, giving one final push before she leapt away, a good distance from her opponent.
She knew it would be her only chance to win, but there was a high chance that he'd release his own shikai, and he'd win for sure.
She sighed, before glaring slightly towards him.
"Forgive me, Ashiku-Taichou, but I'd like to wait before that moment comes."
She decided to wait until it was absolutely needed.
Wait until she had to depend on it.

Ashiku frowned for the first time at the lieutenant. His gaze became stoic, as he looked away from her. "Dear oh dear," he sighed. "I'd thought you had it already. That drive, to give all you got into it."
"You're holding back your strength, against an opponent such as me. That can lead to your death, if this was not just a spar." He stared coldly at her. "Very well. If you will not release your shikai by me asking..." he crossed his arms, holding both sword parrallel to each other. "...I will have to force you to with my own! Judge them! Keibatsu! Meibatsu!"
A flash of red and black enveloped his blades, as his spirit pressure increased rapidly. The two blades now gleamed in their Shikai release. Keibatsu, the Judgement, gleaming black with empathic callous; and Meibatzu, shining blood red, thirsty for retribution. "I suggest you get ready, Haine. Because I'm pulling no more punches." He vanished, flash stepping beside her and striking with Keibatsu at her left arm, set to paralize it.

Eyes widening as he released his shikai, she braced herself for what was to come next.
She wasn't expecting it, not in the least. The strike hit her arm full on, and she flinched as the pain began. Now was a good time as ever.
"Very well, Ashiku-Taichou." Her left arm wasn't any good now, and she raised her blade with only her right.
"Bleed, Kurenai Tsuki." A red orb surrounded to girl, cutting off all sight of her, as it faded, anyone who was watching could see that the blade had been replaced with a scythe.
The blade was a silver crescent moon, the staff-like part which she held black.
"Ichiwa Ute, Tsuki Sayasaki." Haine brought the blade downwards, and a huge gust of wind appeared in return, heading right for the captain with a face pace. If it were to catch him, the paralyzation would set it.

Tao smiled, seeing Kurenai Tsuki released. He readied himself as Haine brought the blade down, releasing a large torrent of wind. The captain quickly dodge to the right, but the gust was so large he couldn't completely escape it.
It struck his left arm paralizing it complete and causing him to drop Meibatzu. He glanced down at his arm, unable to move it. "Well," he stated smiling. "I see your Zanpakuto has some abilities similar to Keibatzu, dear Haine. This even's the playing field for the moment." He held Meibatzu ready in his right hand. "The paralysis technique pretty much renders my left arm useless. However, that doesn't mean I cannot hold both blades." He took Meibatsu and placed the hilt to his mouth, clutching it with his teeth. He then picked Keibatzu up in his right hand, twirling it. A grin curl up from his clenched teeth beconing for Haine to attack again.

Haine made a small smile, before vanishing completely. She soon reappeared beside the captain, and swung out with her weapon towards his side. She'd wait to use her second attack, as the first had taken a bit of energy.
Though it wouldn't take long to regenerate, Haine thought to be safe, just in case.
As she swung the giant blade, she threw in an array of kicks, hoping he might be caught by one of them.

Tao readied himself when Haine reappeared beside him, her scythe blade swinging toward his side. He twisted his right arm, striking to repell the curve blade away, while at the same time, spreading his legs to steady his position.
She came at him still with a flurry of kicks, and figured to change his defense tactics a might. He swung his left leg to counter the kicks, blocking her's with his shin while keeping his balance on the other. He then gripped her leg hard with his, twisting his torso and striking with a jump missle kick with the right leg. The blow would send her a few feet away, allowing him to regain his stance.

She took in a sharp breath as she was flung away from the man, and raised the scythe to block the kick that followed. Though it still hit her head-on, and she skidded a few feet backwards, panting.
"Let's try this.." She murmured, raising her weapon.
"Byou ute, Hitoame no Chi." She swung the blade in a circular motion, creating what seemed to be a red orb. Giving a hard shove, it flew towards the Captain, faster than the wind had gone.

Tao had no time to react, only to brace himself for the oncoming attack. The red orb engulfed him, blinding his sight with red light. He suddenly felt hundreds of blade like wisps slicing through his skin. He gritted his teeth, bearing through the pain. He had to endure, if only to build Meibatzu's strength. The only thing to do was to wait for it to dessipate, or until his left arm is reanimated. He tried to flex it, but was only able to move his pinky. The effects are wearing, it seems.

Haine watched as the ord surrounded her opponent, waiting for it to disappear. She was amazed it had even worked, that she'd pushed it fast enough to catch him.
"This opens a lot of opportunities.." she murmured, thinking of her final shikai attack. Though she'd rather not use it, until it came down to nothing.
Of course, with her luck, it might not even work.
She glanced down at her arm, trying to move it. Her hand twitched at the attempt.
"Then again, it might not.."

Once the orb decipated, Ashiku stood firm, his entire body covered in cuts, his shihakusho tattered. Even the eyepatch over his right eye was ripped, now useless.
He began to gain feeling back in his left arm, however, and felt he could hold Meibatsu again. He took it from his clenched teeth, grinning. "Very good, Haine-san. I've never witness your shikai's ability and I must say, I'm quite impressed." He glanced down at Keibatsu.
"You've already felt the affects of Keibatsu, The Judgement. He renders what he cuts paralyzed for aproximately five minutes. One of your abilities does the same thing, as I've found out." He smiled, holding up the red blade. "Meibatzu, The Retribution, however is unlike his brother. While the Judge strikes to hold, he strikes to kill." The blade glowed bright as the blood from Tao's wounds seeping into the hilt. "The more my enemy strikes at me, the sharper he becomes." He grinned. "I'd advize you to be careful from now on, Haine. Even I sometimes lose control of Meibatsu when he's bloodlust." He rushed forward, tearing the patch from he eye, for it was no good anymore. He was at a dissadvantage because of it, and without the patch he could not see from it.
As he neared her, he flashed stepped, reappearing on her right side, and striking out with the red blade.

//I'm sorry I haven't been able to reply lately..My computer stopped working, and now I'm on a 'Vacation'.//
Haine moved her weapon to block the attack, but went to low. The blade struck her side full-on, before she leapt back to regain her composture.
Her let arm was now able to move, enough that she could grip her side as she slid across the ground, coming to a rough stop.
Her eyes were widened, her breathing heavy.
Quickly, she raised her scythe yet again, aiming at the captain.
"Saishuu Ute, Aenaisaigo." She brought it down quickly, as her final attack commenced. A red beam of light shot out at him, covering a large amount of area. Haine was almost positive it'd hit, but she couldn't be sure.
A captain in his shikai could likely dodge, though he'd have to time it just right.

When Haine stepped back she came to Tao's left side, peferably hiding her momentarily from his sight. He turned his head to see which way she went before he could move.
The red light caught his attention, as a beam of red energy surged toward him. Too wide to dodge, and too powerful to take head on. All he could do was focus his riatzu into both blade to try and split the beam. He crossed the blades, holding them forward to block the stream when it collided.
He had to dig his feet into the ground to prevent himself from falling back. He strained, pushing against the energy with his own. He grimmaced, feeling his feet giving slightly. With a final yell thought, he struck through the blast, splitting it into two stream as they blast past him, colliding with the structure in a massive explosion.
He paused, glancing back at the distruction. "My word..." he said, glancing back at Haine. "...if that attack hit me dead on, I would have been a goner." He smiled, dispite himself. "Lieutenant, you've got more potential than I thought you did."
