I have read the LG book and seen the 2004 movie. But you can really see the difference! In the book he isn't so...seductive. And Raul has a brother?! That should have probably been mentioned. I'm surprised how so many chapters are narrated by the Persian and yet in the movie he's represented by a music box. And I hate the fact that in the movie he takes of the mask and he looks NOTHING like GL described. He just looked like he was burned. I truly wish that they had added the grasshopper and the scorpian in the movie/broadway show. I still love all forms of Phantom though.

I personally prefer the book.
It has all the true tension, none of that weird 'love/lust/hatred/whatever' tension that Shumancher(sp...iono how to spell it) added in.
Plus a lot of my favourite quotes come from it.
