Kora unsheathed her long sword and took her sharpening stone out of her pack. In the dim flickering light of the fires of surrounding groups she began to scrap the cold hard metal against the tough grey stone. It made a horrible or to her ears, lovely shrieking sound with every pass. Shhhhhrrrik. Shhhhhrrrrikk. A small Smile held Kora's lips and her large dark eyes focused of the blade, given it her full attention. It really was her baby after all.
"There now." She cooed and set the stone down, Turing to run a chunk of soft leather over the length of the steel. It cut though cleanly and swept away all of the dust. Not everyone was as in tune with their weapons as this Elf, but she was a tad obsessive so it didn't bother her.
"We are all set hun." She whispered and rubbed a dirty spot near the swords tip wit her thumb pad. "Just let me..." Her big eyes narrowed and she licked her finger to scrub at it harder.

Delaine opened one eye after hearing footsteps pass by her. She remained silent until she determined exactly where he was. "Edge...are you okay?" She didn't mentioned that he woke her up, being a light sleeper and all. She always held her yumi by her side if ever she detected an unwanted presence from afar. Otherwise, her mind was always on guard even in her sleep. Huh, maybe that's why I rarely have dreams She decided. Ever since Delaine agreed to travel with Edge, she created a routine every night which soon developed into waking her at any sign of an unknown presence whether it be the rustling of a bush to a small rock rolling a short distance on a nearby trail. She awaited for his answer, not turning herself to face him just yet.

Edge could hear the sound of a blade being sharpened within the village. There were warriors going after the Holy Sword as well, so it was to be expected. Although, it was a little late to sharpen a blade. His head perked up a little when he heard Delaine's voice. He turned his head, just enough to see her from the corner of his eye and managed a smirk. "I'm fine, Delaine. Go back to sleep or you'll slow me down tomorrow." He chuckled a bit, kind of happy she'd woken up and spoken to him. He may have seemed like an a**, but it wasn't as if he didn't like her. They were friends, so he teased her often. He turned his head back towards the moon and fell back on the grass, placing his hands under his head.

Delaine gave a small, barely audible laugh. "Me? Slow you down? Please...your record is worse as mine." She said jokingly. She turned around so that she could see him but closed her eyes. Delaine knew that Edge didn't mean it, so she didn't mind. She looked up at the moon before falling asleep, but soon woke up again as she heard noises from below. "Ugh..." She then went down underneath her sheets to block the noise out, trusting Edge with a sort of guard duty.

Edge could hear her shifting about in the sleeping bag and smiled once she had finally stopped. He stood up and stepped over to his sleeping bag, then picked up his nihonto and walked back to the ledge. He held the scabbard at his side and turned his body, crouching a bit and entering his Iaijutsu stance. A quick, almost instant movement had the blade out of it's scabbard, moving in a horizontal motion, and as it completed it's arch, was brought back to the scabbard. He sighed and stared back up to the moon. Something about it was attracting his sight. Maybe because it was the full moon, the one said to bring supernatural events. He smiled again and gripped his blade's scabbard tighter. He was going to find Shining Force and become king of all. No matter what!

Kora twirled the light sharp slab of medal in her hands before slipping it into it’s sheath in her belt. The young woman never showed off and she knew at in a village like this people were always watching. It was full of criminals all of them out of the same thing she was. And so she would have to best each of them at one point or another.
Her own fire was starting to go out, leaving hot embers in place of tall orange flames. She poked at the burning ashes and set another log over them. It took a few minutes but eventually it lit up nicely, Illuminating her pale bluish grey face. The warmth radiating off of the fire was a little much, so she stood and stepped back, crossing her toned but slender arms over her chest. Kora’s eyes glanced around watching everything she could. A boy was standing on a cliff ledge not far away, His boy only visible because the moon was so bright tonight. He looked young maybe a year younger than herself. He was swinging his own blade around dangerously near the edge.
His smooth fluid movements seemed almost like a dance. He was good. Kora stepped towards him, he was about four hundred feet away. She walked past two makeshift huts and one wagon before she was only about fifty feet from him, her back to the wagon’s side. Her footsteps we light with almost no sound at all emitted from her movement. She approached him closer, her huge dark eyes watching, examining, judging. He was her competitor. She would need to get passed him eventually unless he quit of died before she got the chance, but he looked determined, he looked like he would not quite.
“Child. It’s late.” She spoke softly her cool silky voice barely loud enough for him to hear. She didn’t want to wake anyone. “You should be sleeping, That ledge is dangerous.” She stepped closer to him.

Unable to sleep, Korsu walked quietly around the camps, looking over the people. He stepped lightly, which muffled the sound of his hooves as they hit the ground. He shook his head at the different people who were camped. Some of these people looked as if they should still be at home, under their parents eye. Some were just the opposite. His tail switched in annoyance and continued on. Letting out a soft sigh he looked towards the moon to see where it's position was. A flash caught his eye and he saw a figure practicing something on the edge of a cliff. He narrowed his eye's slightly trying to make out what it was. Now curious as to who else wasn't asleep, he made his way around the campsites of the others, to the cliff edge to see what it was.

Edge turned his head, just enough to see a woman that looked not much older than himself. "Child? Hell..." He sheathed his blade once again and turned around, making sure to keep his hand right below the hilt guard and letting his other fall limp at his side. "An Elf? Don't see too many of you nowadays, no?" He closed his eyes, completely aware of all movements anyway. If she shifted a foot in the wrong way, he would know of an oncoming attack and he would quickly retaliate. It just wasn't a good thing to be too cautious around here. People were crazy when it came to finding that blade. He flicked his thumb up a little, knocking the blade a couple inches from it's scabbard, just incase. He eyed the girl, letting a smirk form on his lips.

Kora tilted her head slightly her creepily large eyes calculating and cold in the dark of night. It was so dark the her pupils were dilated to span across her entire eye giving her dark soulless orbs as eyes. Her grey blue skin did not help the picture if she was going for innocence. She put her own hand on her sword’s handle mirroring the boy's movements.
"I could say the same about you, human. I don't see many of you alive these days either. you seem to be dieing off, left...and... right." She spoke with clear concise words and her lips curled into a creepily smug smile.
"Or maybe I'm just not looking close enough?" She shrugged and shifted her weight, ready to move if he did. The boy seemed more hostile than humans usually were. He seemed like he had a fire burning bright inside of his chest.
"If you don’t want to be called child... I could call you kid? Or pip-squeak? Squirt? I just thought that child was the most respectful of terms for some one of your... stature." She flashed a pointy toothed silvery smile and blinked.

Edge lifted his shoulders slight for a shrug, grinning as he lowered them. "Humans, elves, demons, who cares? We may have different blood, but we all think alike. If my race dies out, so be it. Like I give a damn." It was true as well. The only one he'd want to live out of the whole bunch would be Delaine. Humans were probably the most vile out of all the creatures, but they had a tendency to rise above all others. Edge despised his own race, remembering how they would kill innocent children for game, watching soldiers kill his whole tribe while laughing. Yes, humans were evil reincarnate. He watched her movements, making him tense up a bit more. He wasn't going to take any chances and allow someone to strike him down for being gullible. He narrowed his eyes a bit when he was called childish names. It wasn't helpful that Edge was prone to set off easily. "Look at you, HAG! Atleast I have my youth!" He growled.

As Korsu approached the cliff, he saw that a human and and elf were arguing. He watched and listened a few moments before walking forward and making himself seen. "I am sorry to interupt your argument, but you might want to lower your voices. Lest you wake everyone up and make them angry. Voice travels in the dead of night." he said calmly looking inbetween the two of them. He stayed aware of them, but made no move toward his weapon as he stood there, hands hanging by his sides. He shifted slightly on his hooves as he stood there.

Delaine controlled her breathing to maintain the facade that she was asleep. She could hear the argument nearby and held her yumi, ready to interfere if anything went out of hand. She trusted Edge, but kept in mind that it would be best to avoid any messy battles on their way to find Shining Force. Upon the entrance of another individual, she kept her guard up.

Kora’s arms tensed when he called her a hag. She was about to tell him exactly what she thought of him when another voice cut in. She turned smoothly, Her eyes now focused on the newcomer. He was a centaur, Grey, male. He looked strong and interesting; not someone she wanted to mess with. Kora had learned the hard way a few years ago that picking a fight with a centaur was a bad idea; she still had three croissant moon shaped scars on her back to remind her.
“I’m sorry if we disturbed you sir.” Kora said her voice once again smooth and just loud enough for the horseman to hear. She smiled and blinked revaluating the situation. She should avoid the beast at all costs; he was definitely the greatest threat here. She stepped backward towards the ledge her feet moving soundlessly, and her eyes still on the two males.
“Like I said, you should get some rest… young one. It looks like your woman is missing you.” She nodded towards where the girl was ‘sleeping’ but even in her sleep she held her weapon. It was odd but Kora didn’t question it.

Edge growled at her, pissed off that she had taunted him. Atleast he'd irritated her as well with that last comment. He looked towards the interfering centaur and smirked. He removed his hand from the scabbard, letting the blade slide completely into it, then crossed his arms. The last comment the elf woman made, made a slight tint of red appear on Edge's cheeks. He looked away and rubbed the back of his head. "Delaine? My... w-woman?" He shook such thoughts away and glared at woman. "Old bat!" He yelled after her, uncaring if his voice woke others. If they had a problem, he would take them all out!

Hearing the elf she stopped herself from shaking her head. To think that she and Edge had that kind of relationship... she couldn't even imagine. Delaine restrained herself from getting out of the bag and telling Edge to shut up. Don't be stupid, Edge... Her free hand then silently slid to the bottom of the sleeping bag, pressing towards the ground. She wanted to know the identity of the other stranger, determined to find out without looking out of the bag and giving herself away.
