Lt. Brookman Could be, there was something of a war in heaven, but I don't have a codex of them on me to verify plus I'm not a big fan of that lexicanum to check it there. sweatdrop *cue third-party with resource*

Maybe, but in all honesty I can't really be buggered as I don't really care about all races. I'm more of an Imperial and anything beyond that is more or less boring to me. Plus the lore is rewritten so many times that it's not as great as it used to be. I could dig around my HD, I think there is a copy there but meeeeeeh.. gonk

Indeed, it is a rather bothersome problem. But I think we are digressing from the original topic. Squats you say? Not a bad idea.

Nah, the Squats truly are dead and done with. Most likely it'll be the Demiurg that will make an official introduction in 2012

I figure it'll come down to the Necrns trying to keep thier cattle alive, and the Tyranids tearing though and eating all the delicious species the C'tan were looking to eat. Necrons then ragequit for another 65 million years.

*enters without fanfare* This is all going by what I remember from reading through various shite.
Yes, the Old Ones did create...well, basically everything. Within all of that, though, the C'tan entered and began to pressure the Old Ones. I don't recall exactly why the Eldar were created, but saying that they were put in as a counter C'tan force is a fairly legit guess. They abhor psykers, and what are the Eldar a race of?
Anyway.
The War in Heaven was the "final" great battle between Kaela Mensha Khaine and the Nightbringer/Deceiver. Prior to this point, the Deceiver had been running around, planting bugs in ears and generally causing Khaine to get so pissed off that he imprisoned the other Eldar gods, even going so far as to kill Asuryan. Isha was imprisoned for a time, Vaul was chained to his anvil, and the laughing god...eh. I think the laughing god was hinted at as being the Deceiver, but I'm not sure. Well, Khaine went into his duel with the Nightbringer, and the two were kinda stalemated. Khaine pierced the Nightbringer's true form, but at the same time, Nightbringer ******** Khaine up somehow. So now he only exists as the Avatars of Khaine.
Eh. That's the best as I remember it. So...yeah, Eldar were made to fight the 'Crons. Now that their numbers got jacked up, there's nothing as much to hold back the 'Crons.
Anyway, the Nids and 'Crons are going to end up co-existing...kinda. Nids will move on, and the 'Crons will go back to sleep with their goal finally reached.

Aren't the Necron's unable to use the Void? Along with that and the fact they no longer consist of any bio-mass the Tyranids will definately just ignore them as if they didn't exist. Also as the Necron's only goal is to destroy the Old Ones and their species.
But what happens when the Old Ones and the armies of Man, Ork and Eldar are destroyed? Will the Necron's be instructed by the C'tan to go after the Tyranids?
Then there is also the case of Chaos, Dark Eldar, etc. Will they simply be ignored by the Necron's and eated by the Tyranids?
(I only know about the Tyranids in detail)

Necrons have the technology to close the Eye. Just look at the Cadian pylons, which are of Necrotyr design.

Yup. The Nightbringer is just after a few more things (no bloody idea what) and he'll be able to close down the Eye of Terror. I'm curious as to what would happen to the planets within the eye if that was to happen. Odds point toward "nothing," but I'm intrigued as to how those Daemon worlds would fare if suddenly cut off from the warp.

The C'tan have the grand design to cut the Warp off, which would effectively shut all access into the warp, including any warp anomalies in real space. I just daemon worlds will have everything that is warpish on it, disappear.

AFAIK it was the Slaanesh that fragmented the Khaine into avatars...

The War in Heaven was well before that point, though.
I have to go back through and re-read that again.
