"We'll head this way. I know some healers who live this way, and I like to stop in to see how everyone is doing, or if there are any illnesses going around... that kind of stuff. I like seeing how they work. I think if you know how to do things even outside the area you're training in is more than helpful."
He padded away from the den and swished his tail behind him, expecting the cub to follow.
It turned out not to be as annoying as Risasi thought it might be. They went to various dens and peeked in on friends the leopon had made in his short time within the pride, got to see a healer tended to a hunting injury, and were introduced to a few new members of the pride, who were looking to be slaves. That was the first time Risasi had seen a white adult lion who would, in short order, be his own slave.
After a longer time than he had thought, and a better one, Risasi was bringing the cub back to his den.

There was a certian thrill to seeing the various dens around the pride and seeing faces the cub had never seen before. Course, Lucian didn't do much talking, just shadowed behind Risasi and listened. He listened very carefully and very clearly. Knowing who was who was going to be very important one day.
After a great deal of visiting the cub followed after Risasi to one last den. His curiousity was peeking.
"Where are we headed now?" He smiled a genuine warm smile up at the leopon. Clearly the cub was having a good time and learning alot too. This little slipping away had been more rewarding then Lucianus had originally thought that it would. His orange eyes shined warmly up at Risasi but, still, underneith those eyes he was taking notes and learning. Lucianus liked this leopon.

"Well, I thought I'd show you where I lived, in case you wanted to come and visit some time," Risasi said with a languid shrug, looking down at the cub thoughtfully. He grinned after a moment, making the statement an invitation.
Swishing his long, fluffy tail, Risasi led the way to his small, comfortable den. Inside there was enough to suit the bachelor: a mat of fur and leaves for sleeping, a rolled up ball of vines for occupation when he was bored, and a small pile of shiny rocks that he had been collecting.
They reminded him of a friend he had made when he was a cub. The rock from that adventure was sitting away from the pile, in a small groove in the den's wall.
"It's not too far from you mom's place, if you're bored and want to spend some time with a gladiator."

Lucianus followed sheepishly after his new found companion. He had never been around the pride like this before and it was something fun, new and exciting all at the same time. And now he got to see Risasi's sleeping quarters. How awesome was that. The excitement bleed a little onto the cubs face but it wasn't a bad look on him.
When the two got to the den the cub wasn't let down in his hopes. It was perfect and private and what else could a male ask for. The collection of rocks he found a tad odd but the cub kept that thought to him self.
"WOW!" Truthfully, Lucianus would never have let out his inner wow but to him this place was just so perfect.
"Gladiator?" Lucianus looked back up at Rasasi with expecting eyes. He knew what a Gladiator was just never met one. For some reason the cub was under the impression Risasi was an artist of some type. Boy was he wrong. It was good to be wrong though sometimes.

Risasi was a fan of the eager look the cub had donned. Much more befitting one his age, more so than the thoughtful and intense expressions he had been indulging in earlier. At least the leopon knew the little tour hadn't been a waste, and that Lucianus had a little fun through it.
"It's not much," Risasi laughed as the cub looked around, "but it fits me just fine. I'm lucky to have it, and I like living here better than I thought I would. I used to spend so much time with my family, it was hard to imagine living anywhere on my own. When I was wandering the lands it was okay, because I never had to think about anything as being a permanent home. But now I have one, and it's a lot... cooler than I had given it credit."
He smiled. He was proud of his home, of finding his pride, and of building himself a place here. He would do anything for his home, and those he had come to love within it. Everyone, really, who served the same Caesar as he. A bit wistful, he swung his tail in wide swats behind him, his attention only drawn back when the cub came back to look at him.
He nodded, puffing out his chest and doing his best to look strong, "yup! I'll fight for this pride, if I have to. But like I said before, I think, I like to learn from all the jobs around the pride, just so I know how to better myself in more ways than just my strength."

Lucianus couldn't hide his approval. It shown on his face clearly from the grin that lay perched on his maw. A real gladiator. Wow.
"Its not much?" Lucian arched his brow up at the gladiator, "Are you kidding me? Its the greatest thing I think I've ever seen! I mean .. its really private and its really quaint.. " The leopard cub fixed his posture a little standing up right so that he wouldn't look like a complete bumbling a**. Straight posture was important for image.
The smirk stayed though the leopard couldn't wash it off now even if he really wanted to.
"Your right it is cool. ... ehhh , where did you come from?" The question was direct with out Lucianus meaning it to be. He actually spoke for once with out really calculating what he was saying.

Risasi laughed. While the 'greatest thing he'd ever seen' was a big deal for Lucianus, the leopon imagined he didn't have too much to reference. He wasn't too old, or world traveled, after all. But it still made Risasi feel a bit proud of his home. Looking around, he nodded.
It was a good place.
Flicking his tail, he was glad to see the cub looking happy. He had wanted to be friends with them all, and this one hadn't started that well. But now it seemed they were getting along. Risasi liked Lucianus, so it was nice to see some reflection of that sentiment back to him.
Maybe?
"I was born in the rogue lands, but we went to the Achana lands, a place for half blooded creatures like me, and it was nice. But I was only there for a little while before I wanted to leave and find some place to make myself useful in. I want to protect creatures. Serve them. I think I found a really good home here."

The rogue lands, something he had heard about but never actually seen. A place where wild lions and leopards roamed and a place where there was no law. Lucian hadn't really looked into the rogue lands but he had heard mention of them here and there. Still, he never thought he would meet a feline from such a savage part of the world.
Lucian's eyes grew wider for a moment, only to be lidded again. The leopard couldn't start acting like a fool in front of a gladiator. No, he needed to keep his appearance up for the sake of their mothers image and his own. Atia would frown on such signs of weakness.
The mask stayed now firmly put in place.
"Risasi... would you mind if I came back here to learn more about these 'rogue lands' you came from?" He tilted his head. "I need to get back to my den before Atia finds out I've been gone for so long." He was sure she wouldn't kill him over it but he was sure he'd get his own punishment. Worth it though, totally worth it.

Risasi tilted his head at the change in the cub. It looked like he was trying hard not to look excited. Such an effort only made Risasi's smile broaden. He liked the cub when he was having fun, but it was endearing, in some way, to see him making a conscious decision to be what his mother would, obvious, want. He knew Atia fairly well, he thought, and this was obviously tied into her.
He tilted his head, matching the way Lucian had canted his.
"Sure," he said, nodding and grinning, "I'd be happy to tell you all about them. But yeah, you should probably be getting back. Do you want me to walk you? Or... you're probably old and competent enough to make it back on your own, hm?"
He smiled. He really did like cubs, as it turned out. It wasn't really a surprise, but it was nice to have it affirmed after so long of just assuming he would.

Lucian opened his maw about to say he'd like to be escorted back to his den but closed his mouth when Risasi said the other part. He couldn't be such a baby in front of Risasi.
"I can make it back on my own," Under his flat words lay a small hint of disappointment. Very small but it was still there. The cub really wanted to spend as much time around Risasi as he could.
Partly because he hadn't yet had the chance to leave his den. Risasi seemed like he was full of stories of adventure. Despite being one of Atia's trained blood thirsty heirs, Lucian still was a cub at heart.
The leopard started for the mouth of the cave, "I'll be back to obtain more information on these rogue lands," With that the leopard padded away heading for his own den. He would be sure to come back and visit Risasi again.
