As she lifted herself up onto her hind legs.. He become more interested in her. She did it so gracefully, smoothly. Taking a look at her face, it almost looked as if she was dreaming.. Imagining what it would be like to fly? I suppose his words were good enough to explain what it was like.. But it had to be like when she sang.. Toki himself sang all the time. He surely shared the voice of angels.. He might not give that impression, but once heard. It fit him so perfectly. He would sometimes hum, or sing while flying. It was definitely and extra boost in comfort. It wasn't the same if he were singing on land. Two different environments.. Two different feelings. She surely would enjoy it.
He was very pleased of what she had made out of his explanation. "You should try it sometime.." He nodded, then became silent. ".. Why don't you know how to fly?"
Elune being the second mare he had come across that didn't know how to fly.. His curiosity got the better of him. He now wanted to know a reason. Whether it be she just never learned.. Or she was afraid, which couldn't possibly be the reason. He just wanted to know now..

A small thought pulled at her mind briefly, the thought of leaving the forest. The edge of the trees held an invisible barrier for her. She had never desired to leave it. The forest was her everything. However, even the sky and moon framed the forest, the greatest backdrop to her world.
She turned her head to look back at her wings, flitting them around. They really didn't do much. No lift of the ground, no nothing. They didn't fight the air at all, like the wings of a bird. Many birds visited this place, flapping their wings to push against the air. She looked at Tokidoki's wings then back at him. Did he fly like a bird? "I think your wings are made for flying. Somehow. Mine are different." she spoke with no discontentment or resentment as she flitted them even still. It didn't bother her that she couldn't fly. It happened to be the way things were, or at least the way she knew it to be. Some might feel awkward at the topic, others hesitant to even mention it.
Elune had knowledge of all things inside, under, and around the trees. At times, she thought the texture and frailness of them resembled that of a butterfly. But she was no butterfly, and what's more, the shape was unlike those she had seen. She hadn't seen many butterflies here in the forest anyways. Only when a few of the berry bushes were just starting to flower, did she see them. Perhaps she would study them more if she happened to see one again.
"If I am to ever fly, then I don't see how. If you could only fly in your sky, and never learned to walk, would you feel at a loss?" The question was completely hypothetical, only to show that she had no remorse for not being able to fly. A mirrored situation, to explain how she might feel about her own disposition.
(If we ever rp again, the title should be: "The Bird and the Butterfly"! Lol. =p)

Toki didn't see a difference in there wings.. Other then his were like the birds, and hers of the butterflies. They both flew alike.. So she could surely fly with hers. Maybe flying would be a bit different for the both of them. With how it might be done. But wings were wings. If you had them, you could surely fly. Right? Or maybe it was just his guilty pleasure compared to other winged Soq. Surely if Elune was the second who didn't know how to fly. There would be plenty more out there wings wings who didn't know either. Some who wanted to, and others who didn't.
But even with Toki's own thoughts.. He understood hers. He had never flown before. It might seem refreshing.. But if you've never had any interest in it before, why start now? He, he lived in the sky.. If he could fly all day, he would. So, if he were to never walk again, it would matter nothing to him. Her home was the forest.. Why bother leaving it? He understood.. And respected her answer, just like he would anyone else. His curiosity was now satisfied.
He let out a light chuckle, his question answered. "I understand."

Elune let a small light hearted smile spread through her eyes towards Tokidoki. Her eyes smiling more than the rest of her face. "I feel good enough. Even if I don't fly, I don't mind." She returned her gaze to the stars, sighing and closing her eyes as a cool night breeze rustled through her mane.
The topic had not left her. Turning again back to her visitor she cocked her head to the side ever so slightly. A thought arose in her mind, peaking her curiosity about him. "Could I see you fly?" She looked at him with an innocence, as if the fate of her wonder lay in his hands.
The trees were unyielding, and one probably couldn't fly on this very spot, but what did she know? How did one learn to fly anyways? Her father didn't have wings like hers, he didn't have wings at all for that matter. The mare never even stopped to think about her mother having wings, the obvious answer, for she never knew her.
She took a couple steps towards him, drawn by his presence, and the idea that he might fly away at any moment. Eagerly, she even held her breath for a moment as she stepped closer. With a small exhale as she stood next to him, she breathed two words out: "Show me."

Toki thought it was good that Elune didn't mind if she never flew.. He was sure there was other winged Soquili who were dying to learn how to fly, and just didn't know how to go about it. Of course, if Toki had come across one of those Soquili, he'd be one to try and help them. If Elune wanted to learn how to fly one day, he would surely give teaching her a try. As she looked to the sky, so did he.. He could probably look up at the starry sky all night. Probably even become so sucked into it, he wouldn't even notice anyone passing by. Not much of a good idea, if danger was near.
When faced with a question, he just looked at her curiously. Why would she want to see him fly? He had never been asked that question before. And he surely wasn't going to decline her request. He just gave her a smirk, as a response to his answer. Easily translated to a yes in his mannerisms. Toki himself, he didn't know of his family. Abandoned at birth, his two-legger, Jaci, took him in. She was the one to teach him how to fly. Probably one of the most frightening days of his life. It was as if it had come right out of a cartoon.. With mother birds trying to teach their young how to fly. Jaci just practically pushed him off a mountain side.. True story. Lucky for Toki though, Jaci had visions. She knew it would work. He was sure that might not work well with everyone.
He began to look around for a clearing in the trees. Bingo! He spotted one. He let the cold breeze flow through him, and took in a deep breathe. Stretching out his wings some, he began a flap motion with them. Until he let out one big thrust, and was pushed up into the air. Thrashing his wings ever so slightly until he made it out of the forest. Now in the open air, he circled around a few times. His distinct features only shining more as they became closer to the moon. As moments pasted, he made his way back through the opening he had left. Landing quite effortlessly in front of his company. That was quite the show and "tell".. And he seemed rather impressed with himself.
((Lol. The whole smiling with her eyes reminds me of Americas Next Top Model.. XDDD))

Blinking as he looked at her with curiosity, she thought for a moment that he might not oblige. As she studied his face, a smirk surfaced and she reflected her own warm smile back at him. The lift in his brows and the tilt of his smile said "Yes". Might of seemed like an odd request, but he must of decided it wasn't too odd.
Elune followed him with light-quick steps. It seemed he intended to look for a different place for the event. Her eyes glanced up to the tops of the trees. Made sense. Wouldn't have much room to spread his star studded wings. She squinted her eyes for a moment as they stepped into a bright moon lit clearing. The trees parted in an almost perfect circle, giving way to the wide endless night sky. Drawing in a deep breath through her slightly agape mouth, she held it there. Her shoulders were lifted and her wings tweaked out to the side. Anticipation taking over her entire stance.
She held her breath a moment longer, while Tokidoki prepared himself for flight. A silent gasp escaped her. The small gust of wind from his wings starling her in a most delightful way. The air carried the scent of things that filled her senses. She could smell the crisp fresh scent of one who kept to the sky, and she could smell the warm bitter scent of the stallion himself. So that's what the sky would smell like.
She shivered as the wind pulled away from her, and Toki took to the sky gracefully. She watched the way his wings lifted him through the night, and took note of the way his hair moved in waves around him. Stretching out his wings, thrusting them in perfect rhythm. He made it look effortless. It gave her great joy and muse to watch him. Suddenly, she did want to fly. Not with her wings, but with his.. She chuckled at the thought and continued to watch him. She imagined it was her up there instead of him.
As he circled round one last time, and pulled in for a flawless landing, she began to sing.
Spread your wings into the stars Embrace the night, Embrace the moon Return to me on a summer wind Lend me your wings, Lend me your grace That but for one night, I might leave this place I'll return tomorrow with a smile on my face I never knew I could fly so high
With a slight dip, she bowed. "Thank you for the ride. It is one I shall remember always." And now..her face was more than smiling, she was beaming ear to ear.

He listened to her song. So wonderful, so beautiful. He could probably listen to her for hours. He wouldn't tell her though.. It might sound odd coming from someone you had just met. He didn't know how he sounded, when singing.. He might be able to sing for hours. If he were in to mood, but he'd be to interested and focused on that to even try to hear what he ACTUALLY sounded like. He was told many good things about his voice.. But he didn't think it would compare to hers.
Her smiled, just as he had been doing most this encounter. "I'm glad you enjoyed it!"
Toki was very much so enjoying Elunes company! She somewhat reminded him of the mare he met that was dressed in the night sky. So calm, delightful. Company he rather enjoyed! And that was something he seemed to rather share.. Then the whole singing bit. He hoped he wasn't to boring for her taste..
"You've been quite the enjoyable company." He nodded. He wasn't going anywhere.. He just thought he'd share.

Her eyes bobbed about, from Toki and back to the sky, from the sky to his wings, then back to his face. "Mmmm. I did enjoy the display." she nodded to him with a twinkle in her eye. Her moment becoming more grounded once again. The statement "head in the clouds" was everything that moment just was for her. Maybe she did want to fly..
Quite frankly..his company had been enjoyable too. She pondered this for a moment. Really, he had arrived in the night, patiently waited through her first fright, and been nothing but polite. Then he even indulged her seemingly simple request.
"I can't imagine a better meet myself." she half bowed to him, with a soft, less regal stance than she had held most the night. Rising back up, pulling herself tall, she smiled at him with a warm glowing kind of smile. A small part of her, couldn't help but desire his presence to continue. If not now, then another night. She had never had a friend before..nor an attractive one that could captivate her merely by taking to the sky.

He was very glad to please Elune with his little "show". Also surprised at how much she seemed to enjoy it. But she had never flown before.. And possibly never seen another Soq fly before. It could be a wondrous thing! Maybe she would one day learn how to fly.. Maybe then they could meet in the sky, his domain. Rather then here in the forest.
His mind whirled with random thoughts. This was definitely one if his more memorable meets. All he had really done through the whole thing was smile. He was still smiling. It just couldn't be helped. He smiled when in good company. But as his mind was being taken over by thoughts.. He almost forgot about the silence. It had became silent so quickly. He hadn't even seen it coming.
"Agreed." He managed to say, as a delayed agreement to her last statement.
He was now out of words.. What do you really say to someone after mention what great company they've been? Nothing could really top that.. Could it? He had no idea. So, he just basically stood there.. Smiling. It was better then just standing there with a weird look on your face.. Due to not knowing what to say. It suited him much better too.

Silence was something that she was used to. Even on the quietest of nights, the forest had sounds from somewhere. Still yet living, the forest had it's own song for those that listened.
When Tokidoki seemed to get quiet for a moment, her eyes and ears turned to the night. A peaceful dark whisper began to fill her ears. She listened to the insects. Listened to the breeze.
When he finally spoke again, she looked over at him. "Mmm." she muttered a note, a short hum in response. Looking at his face, studying it for a moment, she couldn't help but chuckle. Her laugh was short, and muffled. Her mouth didn't open, but she grinned as the sound bounced around her mouth. Holding his face and presence in her eyes, she realized she liked the fact that he was always smiling. It somehow made her more prone to smile back.
Turning her head slowly, she kept her eyes on him, and then blinked slowly before turning her gaze in the direction of her face. Staring off into the night, her ears went back to listening. In the back of her mind, the fresh memory of flight was still teasing at her senses. She blinked the thought away, and without realizing it, began to hum a quiet song.

I suppose silence was something Toki encountered often as well. But not in the presence of company. His company was usually more vocal, there was something being said. He didn't mind the silence. Sometimes it was nice to come across someone with less things to say. Just to become comfortable in their presence. Just because you weren't saying anything, didn't mean you weren't having a good time. Or enjoying each others company. It could quite possibly mean you were enjoying more then you might've if all you did was talk. I mean.. Toki and Elune weren't about to sudden part ways just because they weren't saying anything. That would be silly.
When he heard a mumble, he gave her a slight look. She was looking at him. He then heard something else, but he couldn't tell what she might be possibly mumbling.. Or, that it was just a little chuckle. But he said nothing about it, nor thought nothing of it. And as she turned her gaze, so did he. He had been to the forest plenty of times.. But he surely wasn't as familiar with it as Elune was. He was more familiar with the sounds of the wind in the endless sky. And flying side by side with the birds. The big things. But as he continued to stare into the night, as she did. He began to realize all the little things he hadn't been hearing before.
As he listened closely, he could hear the bugs, the soft breeze. He could hear so many things, coming together to make an harmonious song. Wonderful music. When a sudden hum became part of the song, he glanced back over to Elune. It wasn't obvious that it was her doing the humming. But Toki could tell it was her. And he was enjoying very much, the song of the forest night. It was a good transition from the songs of the night sky, or snowy mountains. They all usually had the same song. This was different.. And somewhat more enchanting.

Her song continued on. It held a rich earthy tone, laced with the nights edge that she had lived in for so long. Her voice hummed out eerie long notes, that sometimes accelerated to a few soft faster tones. With some of the long notes, her legs moved forward in perfect synchronization, walking forward in slow dramatic steps. It wasn't intentional. Her body had a way of carrying her to different things when she was singing. This time, it carried her to a large oak, who's branches seemed to entangle and entwine in every direction.
Now in front of the tree, she paused her movement, and closed her eyes. Her song continued on. It might seem like she had forgotten about her company. However, she hadn't. Her mind was still as solid as ever. She wasn't really distracted either. This was just who she was. The humming didn't stop as she reached her neck up to the tree, inhaling it's woodsy. Her wings spread up, and seemed to reach up with her. "Have you ever wondered. If they could hear us?" her hum seemed to cut into her words as she asked Toki a question.

As she continued to hum, he continued to listen. It was such a wonderful tone, how could he stop listening? It was always nice to meet someone with musical talents, as he was told he had. Not that he believed it to much. Even though he was told he had a good voice. He just thought of it as a voice, and nothing more. Maybe he was just being demure.. Or was in denial. He just couldn't think of it as just a voice. But listening to Elune, enchanted him. Made him that much more interested in her. Maybe that was how others felt when he sang, and was drawn to him. Maybe his voice really was that good, and he shouldn't be so modest about it.
As Elune seemed to have begun to walk in a random direction.. Toki followed. He wasn't just gonna stand there and let her walk off. And he was sure she wouldn't walk off with out saying she was done, and had to leave. And he continued to follow her, enticed in her song, until she stopped. When she did, he stood in front of a very large oak tree. Probably the most intriguing oak tree he had ever seen. He had been around here plenty of times and never seen this tree before.. This was one reason he enjoyed the forest. There was always something new to be seen, even if you've lived in the same forest all your life. The mountains always seemed the same to him.
Thoughts interrupted by her question, he looked upon her. "Can't they?" He answered, with what seemed to be a completely different smile.

Elune looked back over her shoulder with a slight grin on the left side of her mouth, and a very slight raise of her left brow. "I think they can do more than just hear us. They can feel us." she blinked her eyes slowly and faced back to the tree. After a small moment of silence she turned her entire body around to face Toki. Her face was glowing with serene emotion. "Close your eyes."
She paced carefully close to Toki, stepping with a bit more force than she normally would. Circling around him, she spoke in a hushed tone. "Can you not feel me, even though you cannot see me? Hear me, even when I do not speak?" with that she fell silent again. This time she moved quietly around him, not making a sound, except for her barely audible breath.
"This trees roots run deep and far." she spoke, this time very close to Tokidoki, standing at his side. Where they stood, all around them the trees roots could be seen serpenting across the forest floor, if one cared to notice them. It was the center of Elune's patrol around the forest. She always found companionship here, and never stayed gone long, before returning to it. It held a pull over her, like the tide and the moon. She had brought him to her home.
The tree seemingly creaked with age, welcoming it's visitor.

Toki watched Elune with much interest. She was a very interesting Soq, with many intriguing things to say. Feel us? Trees were living, it made sense. When she told him to close her eyes, he didn't hesitate to do it.. But not without giving her a smirk in exchange. One that made him look very handsome, at that. He could hear her circling around him, making his ears twitch with almost every step. He made no movement as she spoke, and didn't dare to speak back. He understood what she was saying.
Once didn't hear, or feel her circling him anymore. He thought it fine to open his eyes. Bringing his attention to the forest floor. The trees roots were everywhere, something he hadn't notice before.. When it came to any tree for that matter. It almost seemed comforting to see all the roots going which way.. They almost seemed to resemble the clouds. They could be anywhere, and in many numbers. Almost making one feel as if they weren't alone. It was a good feeling to have. Better then feeling alone, for sure.
He looked back to Elune with a smile. "It's beautiful."
Even though he had no idea she had brought him to her home. He was very honored to be able to see such a sight.. With someone he would surely treasure forever..
