Faiz chuckled at her slip into formality and shook his head.
"You're getting better, 'Liua. Perhaps one day it'll be strange to you to call me sir," he replied and glanced out the cave entrance as well. He should probably see what his brother was up to today, make sure he wasn't on his way to having a stroke from worrying over things. Faiz shook his head again at that thought. Life was too short to worry over every little thing. He couldn't remember his father doing that, though Qasim had been far from the laid-back personality Faiz had. His father had always worried that Faiz's personality wasn't quite fit for ruling and in retrospect, the storm-colored lion couldn't agree more
"Mmmm, not really. I should probably attend to a few things, and if you'd like to do something while I'm gone, you're welcome to go catch something you and I can share for breakfast. Then perhaps we can spend some more time together?" he asked, lifting his head up so that he look down at her.

She felt her cheeks flush red at his words, as she gave a shallow nod. Perhaps - but she somehow doubted it. As close as Faiz and her were, she was always careful to remember that he was the one who'd captured her, and he was her master. He could trade her away in a heartbeat to a less gentle male - and she saw how some of them looked at her. Apparently she was quite pretty, desirable female. The thought made her shudder.
She smiled shyly, nodding as she began to clamber to her feet, to allow Faiz easier access to stand up. It was all about him - but she was happy. She knew her place, and enjoyed it with Faiz. Her smile brightened a little at his suggestion of a hunt, before faltering a little as she glanced to the floor, knocking a pebble to the side with her paw. "I can catch some breakfast for you, if you like. ...I think Mzu wants to spend time with you later, though."
She didn't like to upset Mzuka'hila. Just being around Faiz seemed to make her irritated, and 'Liua didn't like to see others unhappy.

Faiz stood as well and inwardly growled. Mzu's jealousy towards the rest of the harem really frustrated him sometimes. Couldn't she just accept that he enjoyed having more than just one female that cared for him? That he had enough love for more than just her? That he wanted many, many children and didn't want to put all the pressure on her? Damn it all, he had publicly chosen her as the leader of his harem, his favorite mate! What more did she want from him??
He let out a long breath in the form of a quiet hiss and shook his head.
"Then you go get something for yourself, my little flower. I have other matters that need attending," he replied and gave her a small nuzzle, though his heart wasn't quite in it. He would need to have a very long talk with Mzu after checking in with Aali. Hell, he'd probably go rant to his- no, no he couldn't do that.
He trusted his brother, yes. He knew his brother knew how he felt about the females in his harem. But no one was privy to his most deepest thoughts of how much he truly cared for his females. No one had really noticed, and if they had they never spoke of it to him, but Faiz had never once traded one of his banu for another. Kajira, yes, for he had not chosen to take them truly into his harem, but never his banu. They were his mates, his females, his treasures and no one, not even the Sultan, could take them from him. For all his calm, cool exterior, he was insanely possessive.
"Have a good day, my precious 'Liua," he said softly with a smile and walked from the den, heading towards Aali's.

He stood, and 'Liua attempted to smile brightly. He said he liked it when she smiled - sometimes she had to force them, if she was feeling a little down, but she always made an effort. When Faiz was happy, he made sure she was happy too. And even if he wasn't in the best mood, he always tried to calm down, and make sure he didn't scare her. Sometimes he did - but she never showed it. His quiet hiss caused her ears to flatten a little, the female afraid she'd done something wrong for a few moments, before he shook his head and spoke. Her smile returned as she returned his nuzzle with one of her own, and a shy nod.
"Alright. I'll catch you something, and leave it in the den for you to have later."
Her smile brightened again as she gave a respectful nod as a farewell, standing still as she watched him depart. A few moments later, she left also, heading out to the woods for hunting.
