"Its not really that interesting," He shrugged, "I accidentally wound up in someone else's territory, and I met his cub, which didn't go over well with the male of that area." He sighed, looking beyond the lioness,in some invisible world. "He didn't think I should have lived, lucky for me his daughter showed up again." He chuckled, "She was very nice, and complete opposite of him."

Yaretzi cocked her head to the side and lifted a paw to push at Alastair's head, so that she should could get a better look at his eye. "That sounds like a potentially sad story..." She removed her paw, a detached look on her face. "So, was this daughter worth the loss of an eye?" She couldn't help the raise of an eyebrow. It sounded to her like a sort of love story. How could she not think of it as being a sweet thing.

Alastair shrugged, "I wish she had not seen what her father had done to me. But nothing that I had done was worth the loss of an eye, not even the cub." He looked straight at her as she moved his face. "I honestly wish I could go back and change things, I would have never set foot on the land of that male had I known. But that was a while ago, I've changed some." He smiled, "She was a cute tiny thing though."

Yaretzi nodded her head sympathetically, understanding completely. "It's completely natural to have regret about scars and such. There isn't a scar on my body that I don't regret. But as the saying goes, you can't live in the past." She shrugged and extended her neck to head butt him slightly, trying to be friendly and playfully and having no idea how she was supposed to do that. She looked thoughtful for a moment and shook her head. "Wait... no... forget that, that one doesn't fit this situation. Ah! Que Cera Cera, what will be will be. Or maybe more along the lines of... you can't change the past, but you can control the future?" She nodded to herself. "Yes." she looked back up at Alastair a satisfied smile on her face. "I think that one might work."

Alastair studied her, "Yes, that's all very true." he nodded, taking a paw and playfully wacking her shoulder. "Ah the past..." He looked thoughtfully at her. "The past is just as troublsome as it is lovely. Or so I think. I've had a fair share of good memories that I do like to recall once in a while." he shrugged.

Yaretzi looked up at the tree again, tired of being on the ground, and jumped up onto the branch in one easy motion. "It's almost a shame though, that the most we can remember from the past, is the bad stuff. It's funny how hard it is to bring to mind the things that make us smile." She looked down at Alastair a dreamy sort of smile on her face. "I can, however, still remember my first kill. That was an interesting day."

Alastair nodded, she was right about that. He looked up at her in the tree, "Oh? Tell me about that day, if you want." He added the last part reluctantly, but he didn't want to seem rude.

Yaretzi lowered her two back legs, making sure that he could see them, but not giving him any sort of an explanation as to why she'd done it. "My first kill," She started off, a proud smile on her face. "Is the creator of most, if not all of my scars, was a rather massive male," She smiled wickedly then, "And is... or rather... WAS the proud owner of the teeth around my ankles."
She gave a thoughtful look, as if she was trying to remember something, a smirk still on her face. "And did I mention he was a rogue lion?"
Yaretzi didn't make a move to lift her legs back up onto the top of the branch. "Now don't get me wrong, I'm sure taking down an antelope for your first kill has gotta be pretty amazing. But nothing is more self validating then watching the life fly from the eyes of a lion that's raped you." She laid her head down on top of her paws and took in a breath, letting it out in a sigh. "It's really rather comforting, knowing that you've taken down the boogey man that haunts you."

Alastair looked at her bracelets, "Wow, well I'm sorry to hear about the rapeing part. You must have been very strong back then, as you probably are now, if not more." He did not look up at her, he tilted his head, just looking at the teeth. "Your first kill story is probably the most interesting I may ever hear." he chuckled lightly, and looked up at her in the tree.

Yaretzi raised an impressed eyebrow, she wondered how many males, or females for that matter, would have been able to still be able to make a light hearted joke about the whole matter? He hadn't even really skipped a beat when she'd said it either, he was pretty interesting she had to admit. "Well I would hope so, on both counts."

"Well..my first kill was only a Zebra," he chuckled, "And no, I've never killed a lion, or any other cat species." he gave her bracelets one last look, then went back to watching the lioness in the tree. She was a true character. He'd never met anyone like her.

Yaretzi tilted her head as she watched him looking at her bracelets. She closed her eyes slightly, a small smile forming on her lips. "A Zebra's a decent first kill." She commented jokingly, looking away when he looked at her. "But it's not a lion~" She sing songed. She turned her head back to him. "So tell me," She asked with an inquisitive look on her face, "Do you talk to dangerous females often?"

"Why no actually, your the first." He thought a moment. "I've only ever talked to cute defenseless dames." He chuckled, that wasn't at all true. He knew the females he had met on his journies could probably have taken him out. He grinned slightly at that.
"Your the first one I've met with lions claws, that's for sure." he nodded.

Yaretzi smiled teasingly, "I bet you say that to all the females." She nodded her head and gave an 'I knew it' sort of look when he'd admitted that. It sometimes surprised her, how sweet and innocent some of the girls were around the Savannah, didn't they know that there were males out there just waiting to crush them? She gave a mental shrug and extended her front claws, almost as if admiring them. He's said Lions claws, she couldn't help but joke. "Yes~ my claws are rather nice aren't they?" She smiled down at him.

Alastair looked at her unsheathed paws, "Why yes, I mean...well," he blinked, "I've never seen a lionesses claws before." He chuckled, he had seen a males before though. He closed his blind eye, "Why yes actually," He commented on what she had said first, "I say that to all the girls I meet, yes," He smiled, those words would get him kicked in the tail for sure to any female he had met.
