Playing Metal Gear Solid many, many times has taught me to oscillate my fingers at the approximate rate of the flapping wings of a hummingbird. Er, honest.
Thank you, Ocelot.

Trollslegur I'll use CoD4 as an example: There are a few semi-automatic weapons in the game such as the G3. They will only fire as fast as you can pull the trigger. So there are people that will buy a turbo controller and program it to basically fire the weapon so fast, that it seems to be fully automatic. This is a problem that many people do not want to see in any other games. Turbo controllers are still a medium of cheating, but if you must, only use it in offline single-player or co-op games. Never use it online as some games are including probability programs into their games. If what you are doing is not possible or probable, the program will kick you. Repeated offenses will result in your account and/or console being banned. So basically if i can buy something it's not cheating? like lag switches?

Trollslegur Yeah. Many of them have learned from the mistakes of ther games and have included the technology in their games. Also, it could disable trophies/achievements in the games that have it. Its just safer to not use a turbo controller. If thats the case then I wont get the controller. The risks arent worth it.

They lag your Internet connection when a switch is triggered so you can run around and shoot people and then when you hit the switch everyone just dies.
Using a controller and a lag switch are 2 different things. One is used to enhance games (and in the wrong situations can be used to cheat) the other is basically used to cheat on online games and is a banable offence on most servers.
And no I don't mean button mashing, I mean being able to press a single button really fast in a way that every other button is still accessable, no laying the controller on a table n getting a pen out.

Lag switches will get you banned almost as fast as hacking. They will ruin servers over time and get you a lot of people out to get you. One guy was using one on CoD4 and he was banned permanently in less than 2min.

Both give you an advantage over some who plays with the normal connection and control pad.

First of all, I've no idea what a turbo controller is. Second, there is only one game that I use cheats on, and that is GTA4, just for messing around and having massacres, and stuff, though. Every other game, I feel cheating kind of ruins the experience of the game. You don't truly get what you would if you played how the game is supposed to run through. Of course, that is only one adolescent boy's opinion

By what I've read, the turbo controller makes you faster, while I know the lag switch makes the other team slower. It has virtually the same effect, but just at different speeds.
