Chiku noticed something as he stood up, that Kuro had evidently noticed before.

"Wait!" She called out. "You're a dragon hybrid, right?" She asked. Then, in a softer voice, "Are you a...rock hybrid?" She ran up to him, speaking even softer.

"If you are, you need to get out of here. Now. They're looking for a rock hybrid, and the council should be getting out any moment. But, wait." She turned into her dragon form. "If they're looking for you, they'll be tracking rock magic, and I don't think you'll be able to get away fast enough without using your abilities. Grab onto me and I'll take you some place where you can be safe. You have to trust me, even if just for this little bit."

"Kuro! Grab on! I think I've found my adventure!"

As soon as the rock hybrid had grabbed onto her, Chiku took off. She whished through trees, following an invisible path she had followed a million times before through the forest. As soon as the trees began to sparkle, slightly, she slowed and touched the ground. Turning back into her human form, she smiled at the unknown rock hybrid.

"You can let go now. Oh, and, if you can, try to be happy. You're very worried about something, I'm sure, but try to put it beside you for now. By the magic in this place, if you are happy, then anyone who tries to enter it with the intent of ruining your happiness will not be able to come in."

Happy? A little hard, considering my current situation. - He replied, looking a bit confused at the wind hybrid before him. He marveled at how different she was compared to him. - I guess I can try to relax, if that's what you mean...

Rey sighs deeply, remembering things, he'd rather forget.

Well, my name's Rey, and as you already know, I'm an Earth Dragon Hybrid. Unlike other hybrids, I have no clan. This is because my mother, an elf, laid death and destruction upon my family's house. I don't really know why or how, but she used a spell to banish my father, a Great Elder Dragon. She killed my younger brother and sister, and everyone in that house that day, except for me. I escaped only because I heard my father ordering me to do so, right before he dissappeared. I heard her curse me, screaming about how all dragons were to be banished, and I along with them, for being his eldest. I fear for all the Elder Dragons, if she's let alive. - He tried not to cry, and he managed to talk with only his voice breaking. - I want to make this right, and stop her, but I have no way. I can't bring myself to fight my mother. - He just laid on the ground, trying not to think about anything he said.

He looked at her and saw genuine concern in her eyes. He was marveled, a stranger showing such compassion. He smiled shyly. - No, I'm not hurt. But... - His expression changed to one of concern. - ...her objective is one of destruction, why would anyone help her by capturing me? And is summoning an angel the solution? Sure, an angel can protect me, but my well-being should not be the priority, it should be to stop her, wouldn't it? I...have doubts that an angel could completely stop her.

"If you like," she replied the the elf, "However-" she paused, glancing over towards the edge of the woods "I was just leaving."

Aurelia slid gracefully out of the tree, landing on four paws in her full feline form. She looked back at the elf, her golden-green eyes inviting him to walk with her. Tail swishing with interest, she approached the familiar greyed fur, green eyes, and scarred cheek of Duna. Lia rubbed her golden cheek against his, in greeting.

"Why Duna, what brings you to this boring town? Seeking adventure? Perhaps you've heard about the silly council meeting?" she spoke with nonchalance.

"Dragon-hybrids always seem to blow things out of proportions..." she purred, brushing her whiskers against his. "Seeking more power, pride and riches. But you missed the funniest sight! A lady-hybrid carried a male off in her dragon form like he was a fugative! Curious, isn't it?" her eyes twinkled.

"Perhaps something to investigate?"

Lia looked up at the elf, giving him a similar look.

"Mmmm, such passion and anger!" Lia purred.

"Come, come now. It was only a jest," she circled around him, brushing against his legs.

"If your friend seeks adventure, then I would like to meet her even more."

Aurelia laid down in front of him, looking into his eyes. "Do not tell me you aren't affected by the slightest twinge of curiousity. It may have killed the cat, but he had eight more to spare," her eyes glinted with a sly grin. She rose and trotted to Duna's side.

"If you wish not to follow, perhaps I shall meet you at another time. I sense our fates met in another life..."

"Duna? Do you wish to join me on an adventure?"
