Nataya blinked sleepily, her mind having trouble piecing together what had just happened. She let it go, instead resting her head on the table. She blinked a couple times before her eyes slid shut and stayed as so, sleep weighing them down.
Stasia blinked as Vate hurried over. "You okay? You look like you've seen a ghost or something." she said, a little concerned.
Koloro didn't see the face, since his own was hidden by his father's shirt.
Matthias listened to Ellie. "Ah, I see...." he said, nodding once. He figured the girl must have heard it in a story or something. That was almost cute. Though, he hadn't heard a story where someone turned people into flowers. That was a new one to him.
Ginger nodded; shucks, there went her idea. "I agree with Zemel, then. He's pretty smart." she said, grinning. "Maybe she's a dandelion fairy! Oh, that'd be so awesome! She could make those little white fluffy things that float around whenever she wanted!" That would be SO awesome in her opinion!
Zemel smiled slightly at his sister's approval, seeming to appreciate it. "Well, if that's the case, then we both have fairies for sisters. That's pretty cool." he said, stretching his arms. "She doesn't have wings, though....the one's in Mother's book did."

Thali nudged Risa in the ribs with her elbow. "Well?" She prompted. "Are you going to ask Matth for another date or what? You can't stand here all day."
Joshua went to Matth's side again, and tapped his shoulder--he had to stand on his tip toes to do so. "Decided on whether to teach me or not?" He asked, with a slight tilt of his head. He paused, and gave Kole a gentle smile, so he wouldn't scare the infant. "Hi," He said pleasantly. "What's your name?"
Vate took a deep breath, and snatched one of Thali's homemade cookies. "Matthias." He explained in one word. "He's mad at me." He gave an involitary shudder, he'd obviously been on the wrong side of a fae before.
Ellie frowned at Matth, she could tell the fae didn't believe her. "Geek 'Ods." She tried. "Wead Geek 'Ods. Is me." She told him. "Wead. Ooo see."
"Maybe!" Miles said with a smile. "Then I'd have a fairy for a mom, and a sister!" He said happily. "And maybe! Maybe when I get a brother, he'll be a fairy too!"

Matthias looked to the boy, sighing. Why did children have to be so persistent? He was tempted to strike a deal of sorts with the child, but...he wasn't that cruel. "Alright." he said after a moment. "I can teach you." After all, it was best if the boy knew how to wield magic properly and, more importantly, know not to abuse it.
Koloro looked at Joshua, peering at the older one shyly. He babble in baby talk, not understanding his words, but liking his voice. He reached out cautiously to poke the boy before retreating to the safety of Daddy's embrace.
"His name is Koloro." Matthias said, answering since his son couldn't. He then looked to Ellie. "Geek Gods?" he asked, confused. Who were they? Gods of the D20's and Stat Sheets?
"He's not mad." Stasia said nonchalantly, finishing off her sandwich. "If he was, he wouldn't be acting so civil." She looked at him a second, before patting him on the shoulder. "It's okay; if he was mad, I wouldn't let him hurt you."
Ginger giggled. "That sounds like it'd be TOTALLY super awesome-riffic!" she said, doing her best to describe just how awesome that'd actually be. "Hey, are you a fairy too? Cause then, you'd all be fairies, and then that'd just be super-cool!"
Zemel chuckled, amused by their enthusiasm. "That would be pretty neat." he offered, trying to join in the excitement.

Joshua could barely contain his happiness. It took all his will power to not hug the fae. As it was, he smiled brightly. "Thank you!" He said happily. "I'll be the best student there ever was! I want to learn everything~" He paused and smiled at Koloro. "Koloro, huh? Cool name, but I think you need a nickname." He thought about it a while. "Kole maybe?" He asked. "Do you like that?"
Vate gave a relieved sigh, and smiled at Stasia. "You're not supposed to protect me." He teased. "It's supposed to be the other way around." He took a bite of his cookie. Thali's cooking seemed to improve with age.
Ellie frowned. "Apollo, Zeus, Afena, Awtemis.." She started listing off the Greek Gods, as well as she could. Her lisp was in the way, and was really starting to get on her nerves. "Gweek Gods." She said, as clearly as she could. "Is me." She pointed to herself.
Miles gave an excited nod. "Yeah, and then when she gets wings--(Because all fairies have wings, except my mom) she can take us places!" He paused, and shook his head. "I don't think I'm a fairy." He said.

Oooh boy. What did he get himself into this time? Mathias just smiled slightly, nodding once. He knew he was going to....wait, scratch that. He was ALREADY regretting this. He looked to the baby; ah, Greek gods. That made more sense. It was cute that she thought she was one; so he decided to play along. "Really now?" he asked, feigning curiosity.
Koloro smiled lightly, only really understanding when his name was said. The older boy seemed nice enough. He reached, wanting to get a closer look at the interesting green-eyed stranger.
Stasia smiled back, nabbing another sandwich; good gods, she felt like she was starving! "You know....when someone says 'you're not supposed to', I have this odd inclination to do just that. Consider yourself protected." she said, half-joking.
Ginger clapped her hands together. "That'd be so cool! I've always wanted to fly!" And, by "always wanted to", she meant since Miles mentioned it. "I bet her wings will be really pretty! Like, maybe something like dandelion puffs or something? But then it'd be floating, not flying..."
Zemel tilted his head. "Oh?" he asked, just barely stopping himself from asking another question. It was none of his business what the other boy was. Still, that didn't stop him from being curious.

Joshua smiled at Kole. "It's nice to meet you, Kole." He said politely. "Since your Dad's going to be my teacher, I think I'll be seeing a lot of you. So we're going to be friends, alright?" This was the proper way to make friends, in Josh's opinion.
Ellie frowned at him. "Weally." She said. "I Dem-en-ter." She said, trying to pronounce it properly and failing. "And ooo, ooo gonna be my daddy." She said, looking at him with narrowed eyes. "Ooo gonna mawwy my Mama."
Vate smiled and shook his head. "That's not how it's supposed to work." He said, but then he decided it was probably pointless to tell Stasia differently. "You should try one of these." He said, offering her a cookie. "They're really good."
"Me too!" Miles said excitedly. "I've always wanted to fly too!" Then he paused. "I think they'll be like Nataya's wings." He gestured to the purple haired girl. "Only green, or maybe yellow."

Koloro smiled; nice boy was talking to him! Of course, he had no idea what Josh was saying, but he liked the tone of his voice. He reached again for the older boy; he wanted to examine this new less-strangerish person! He babbled a bit, trying his best to communicate....and failing sadly.
Matthias paused, looking at Ellie. "You mean Demeter?" he asked, smiling lightly. The smile fell from his face as he heard what else she had to say. Marriage, him? Never! He walked over to Thali, holding the infant out to her. "Here." was the only word of explanation he offered.
Stasia shrugged. "So?" she said, smiling lightly. She accepted the offered cookie, looking at it a moment before almost inhaling it. The baked confection disappear, and a smile appeared on her face. "You're right; those are good." she said, grinning.
Ginger frowned. "But those aren't unique wings...." she complained, rolling her eyes. "I'm sure she'll have unique ones, since she's unique and all." After all, how many babies were green?

Joshua liked talking to Kole, the older boy had experience with infants--though his sisters didn't seem to be as well-mannered as this little one. "Right, we're going to be good friends." He said happily. "Mr. Matthias, can I hold him?" He asked, looking up at the fae.
Thali took Ellie carefully. "Thank you." She said with a smile. The infant didn't seen too happy to have been deposited in the elf's arms. She reached for Matth. Her nostrils were flaring, her eyes were watery and tinged with green. "Uh-oh.." Was all Thali could say, before the green infant started to cry.
Risa had been just about to poke Matth in the shoulder to ask him to come over later--but was distracted by her daughter's water-works. She sighed, and went to take the girl into her arms. "Shhhh." She said. "It's alright."
Vate smiled and took a cookie for himself. He took two bites and it was gone. "I just wish they were bigger." He complained. "Then they'd last longer."
Miles paused to think about it. "Yeah, she'll probably have unique wings." He agreed. "That'll be even cooler, I mean--if she does get wings."

Matthias nodded, handing over the little deer baby. "Be careful with him." he cautioned before his attention snapped to the crying infant. Uh-oh, crying baby! "What is wrong?" he asked, looking at the green infant.
Koloro smiled at Josh, seeming to be comfortable with the boy. That's when he proceeded to chew on the older boy's shirt; his way of showing affection.
Stasia nodded. "Yeah....that'd make them better." she said, reaching for another one as she finished the last bite of her sandwich. Hungry Stasia was hungry.
Ginger smiled. "I'm sure she will! All fairies have wings!" She then paused, thinking about it. "Well, all except Uncle Matthias and Miss Risa." But other than that, she was convinced that all fairies had to have wings. They had to!
Zemel just shook his head, smiling lightly. Sometimes, his twin was rather amusing.

Joshua took Koloro carefully. "Hi Kole." He said cheerfully. "Looks like Ellie's causing trouble again. Do you know? When she's mad, she makes flowers appear. It's kind of annoying--There was a daffodil growing inside of my teddy bear the other day. It popped out and made a hole in it." Josh frowned slightly. "Stupid flowers.." He muttered.
Ellie reached for Matth, and sniffled. "Maff." She said, sniffling. " 'Ug? I sowwy I 'ake ooo 'ad.." She asked. Why didn't he believe her? Why didn't he like her? Why'd he given her to an elf? She didn't like elves!
Vate watched as Stasia continued to eat, and he gave her a curious look before offering her a piece of watermelon. "Hungry?" He asked. He took another cookie, and inhaled it. Mmm. Chocolate chip cookie bliss.
"I don't think all of them do." Miles said, shaking his head. "Mom and Mr. Matthias-- they have to be a certain kind. So there must be a lot of them that don't have wings." He explained. Then he looked to Zemel. "Want to play a game?" He asked.

Koloro just nodded, even if he didn't understand a word the boy said. From what he gathered, nodding made people smile. He wasn't sure why, but it seemed to work. He chewed on the older child's shirt thoughtfully, debating whether to mimic the boy or not. "'Tup'd fl'ers." he said cheerfully, having no idea what the words meant or what might happen if a certain someone heard.
Matthias blinked, hugging the infant. "You did not anger me, little one." he said, looking confused. Why would she think he was mad? He hadn't acted mad, had he? Ugh, little kids.
Stasia nodded, smiling sheepishly as she took the piece of melon. "Yeah, I'm a little hungry." she said before taking a bite. A little? Two sandwiches, two cookies, and now a piece of watermelon? That was more than a little.
Ginger frowned, not appreciating being proved wrong. "Well, most have wings." she said, her tone almost sullen.
Zemel smiled, nodding. "Sure....what kind of game?" he asked, tilting his head to the side. If it had to do with running, or anything physical, for that matter, he doubted he do well.

Joshua smiled as he heard the little boy mimic him. "Yeah! Stupid flowers." He agreed, having no idea that he was teaching an infant 'bad words'. Well, that was what Risa called them--Josh's Mom tended to call Ben stupid on a daily basis--usually ten times a day.
As soon as the fae hugged her, Ellie's tiny arms wrapped around Matth's neck, unwilling to let him get away. "Maff?" She said. "'Uv ooo." She paused, and frowned slightly at him. "I no wike ewves." She told him, sounding stern. "I no wike ewves at all!"
Risa just looked at Matth with raised eyebrows before interrupting. "After the picnic, you want to come to my house for a while? You know, to watch movies, or something.." She had no idea what fae his age did for fun.
Vate smiled and shook his head. Maybe she'd just gotten off a diet or something--she sure didn't look like she needed to diet, she was skinny enough. "Tell ya what." He said. "After this, I'll take you to any restaurant you like. I have something for you anyway, if you want it this time.." He finished.
"I don't think so." Miles said with another shake of his head. He looked to Zemel. "You pick the game."

Koloro giggled, clapping his little hands together. Whatever the words meant, it seemed to make the older boy happy. "Tup'd fl'ers!" he exclaimed before succumbing to a giggle fit.
Matthias blinked, then smiled lightly as he patted the girl on the head. He then blinked. "Why ever not?" he asked, curious. Why wouldn't she like elves? Didn't most little kids like them? He then blinked, looking up at Risa. "Um, sure." he said, nodding once. This would be....interesting, to say the least.
Stasia smiled slightly. "I'd love to." she said, smiling lightly. She paused, thinking. "Old Country Buffet sound good to you?" she suggested, smiling. Ah, an all-you-can-eat resturaunt... Then, out of no where, she sniffled. Augh, she felt so fat with all she was eating!
Zemel thought a moment. "How about hide and seek? Or I Spy? Or -" He was suddenly cut off by his sister.
"Let's play acrobats!" Ginger said, still holding the game from her toddler-hood near and dear to her heart.
"No." was Zemel's only response to her suggestion.

Joshua giggled, before nodding at his new infant friend. "That's right." He said. "Flowers are stupid." He said with a bright smile. "Stupid flowers." He liked this little guy, he was smarter than his sisters (who found flowers popping out of teddy bears extremely funny for some reason..).
"Hate ewves." Ellie said as clearly as she could. "Hate dem! Hate dem, hate dem!" She pounded her tiny fist on Matth's chest to prove her point. "Gweat God Pan is 'ead. No! Stuffid ewves!" She gave a long rant about why she didn't like elves before pausing, and frowning. "I wike ooo, dough." She told him. "No worry. Ooo no ewf."
Risa smiled brightly. "Okay." She said happily. "I hope you like popcorn." She said, and paused for a moment. "It's home grown, I prefer it to the stuff in the stores."
Vate nodded at Stasia, before looking at her in concern. He put an arm around her, and gave her a reassuring squeeze. "It's alright." He said, he obviously didn't have much experience with comforting anyone.
"Sure, hide-n-seek sounds good." Miles said cheerfully. "You want to be it first?" He asked.

Koloro grinned. "Fl'rs tup'd." He said, mimicking Josh as he nodded. The baby snuggled in the older boy's arms, tired from the effort he exerted to speak. Nap time now.
Matthias blinked, looking at the little girl. He was absolutely speechless. He then looked to Risa, nodding. "I do....and home-grown is usually best. Pops better, too." he murmured, feeling....awkward.
Stasia smiled lightly, hugging. "Thanks." she said, her tone back to cheerful as she nabbed a couple cookies, holding one out to Vate as she practically inhaled the other.
Zemel nodded. "Sure, I'll be it first." he said, not minding one way or the other. "I'll count to 100 while you guys go hide." he said, lifting his hands to cover his eyes. "One....two...."
