Raco sighed. "We're working on t'at...it will take some time for 'er to accept 'erself again. S'e is doing muc' better t'an w'en s'e first arrived." he said patting Val on the head. That was something he was working on, it would take her a lot of time, but she really was doing better than when he had run into her bleeding and worn out.
Youko was silent for once. It had been quite some time since he'd seen Raco in some sort of high spirits like this. It was good for Raco...since the heartbreak he had suffered, he doubted Raco would ever be the same, or even get fully over the pain and the loss, but this was a let a good step for him.

Ishtar looked up at Raco, trying to judge the words in his voice. "Mommy told me she was punished for being the best. Is that true?" He went back to playing with her hair and looked over to Youko... he was silent, and to Ishtar it seemed out of character. "your the good guys right? your not going to hurt mommy?" he asked looking back and forth between the two men... val wouldnt leave him with dangerous people and go to sleep would she... idle thoughts but still he crouched low on top of the female watching bot.

Raco shook his head. "No, s'e was not punis'ed, t'at may be t'e way s'e sees it, but t'at is not t'e trut'." he said with a sigh. Val was strong, she'd just had some back luck and had been without a proper guard. If they had been alerted that she has needed a proper Guard they would have had one of their number over in an instant.
Youko laughed at this. "We're a mixture of both really. But in the end what we do is always for the greater good. We do not kill or hurt others without a good enough reason to do so." he shrugged. Many may look at them as the bad guys, but really in the end they were doing everyone a favor by keeping everyone safe.

Ishtar looked back and forth between the two males. Both were admirable in their own ways... but he had to admit that the darker haired one scared him. "okay... but I dont want to fight unless I have to defend someone I care about... I wanna help people not hurt them." He blushed and looked away, because of course at this age wanting to help people was 'girly'. He pounced from val to Youko in one swift motion, with his claws sheathed. Immediately upon impact he felt himself held close to something warm. Val caught him in midair and landed on top of Youko, in an almost straddle. He wiggled in her grasp but found it was no use, going limp. "dont you ever do that again." she said in his ear staring at Youko. Val had always been swift... but training was making her insanely fast.

Youko smiled at Val. "Goodness, you could at least give me a little warning. And Raco's still here." he said with a devilish grin.
Raco shook his head. Youko was only asking for it and he was not going to save him this time. Val could easily hold her own and she was learning fairly quickly, though she was still a long way from being a full fledged Konouichi. "Youko, I swear, you wis' for an early deat' don't you?" he asked sitting back and folding his arms behind his head.
Youko looked over at Raco. "At least I try to have some fun." he scoffed.

Valiant's eyes slitted dangerously as she brought her hand across his face hard. "what happened to 'I will fallow the rules'." she put Ishtar on her shoulders and crossed her arms across her chest. "I dont care who you are, or who you think you are. You will respect my boundaries." Val stood in one swift motion and sat on the other side of Raco. Yes her temper was a lot more fragile now, but it wasn't just that, she was partly hiding from the scolding she assumed she would get.
Ishtar watched in awe, glad he had come with Valiant instead of staying with his parents that would just ignore him. This girl had the capability of taking care of both herself and him.

Youko gave a laugh, "Oh come on, you can do better than that." he purred. Val had done the worst thin by hitting Youko, he instead of becoming frustrated, was more rather aroused by the aggression. It was always a problem of his, which sometimes ended up working for the better of him, others only got him in serious trouble.
Raco held his hand in front of Youko. "I t'ink it is time you took a visit to Karin Youko." he said sternly, narrowing his eyes. "I dare say s'e 'as been waiting for you to return for some time." he finished as if the matter were final.
Youko looked at Raco and heaved a heavy sigh, stood up and left. He best not get on the wrong side of Youko. He didn't like the idea of having to fight his friend and taking a visit to Karin was probably in his best interest.

Valiant rolled her eyes. Oh him and Aidan would be best friends, the sadist and the masochist. She looked between Raco and Youko, two sides of a very different coin, and yet very close. men. She closed her eyes and pulled out her flute, her calming mechanism. The song she had recently wrote to lure Ishtar to sleep played at the back of her mind, and she pulled it forward into the melody. People surrounding her were the first to hear her serene music. Valiant had only played morose tunes while her stay at the camp, and suddenly this change had occurred.

Raco stood up himself and gave Val and squeeze on the shoulder. Replacing the pipe in the corner of his mouth he nodded to Val. "I will see you in t'e morning. I 'ave some business t'at I need to take care of tonight." he said nodding to her and walking off.
Tonight was going to be a hard night for Raco, one where the wood would be full of his mournful song, a sound that could break hearts just by listening. But this night everyone knew to keep their distance from Raco and leave him be. He would not talk to anyone, no matter how close he was with them. Even Youko knew to give Raco his space, and for Youko to truly leave someone alone, was a miracle within itself.
