I don't get high. I'm a clean hippie. (yes, there is such a thing) I saw my brothers get high too much to do it. They acted really stupid when they did it, like: *breaths deeply. Laughs stupidly. breaths deep again* I didn't want to end up acting like them, so I'm staying away from drugs 'n stuff. confused I don't want to end laughing like Butt-Head. -.-

I do it to meditate or play music. When im high of mary, i dont do nothign else, i find me to be more relaxed, so i just think and get crazy thoughts, and then pick up my guitar and make crazy sounds! but i dont do it like if im addicted, i havent done it for like 9 months now! I dont know how people can get addicted, i see it as a mentality thing.

Well, you get a free trip to the mental health ward, you get to pretend your really really high, you get burn your face, you generally won't get arrested unless you break something, and you get to run around without a shirt. NAME ONE THING THAT COULD POSSIBLY BE BETTER. First off the bannana string thing is bull. Also your sarcasm only make you sound as uneducated as you truly are on the subject. First of all, it's called a joke, and secondly, everything except for the burning your face off part is REALLY ******** FUN. Trust me, I've tried it before. I've also danced the Macarena on tables during lunch at school. That's fun too. Also, bananna string? I said BANANA LEAF. Thatlatu thinks you're a freak. And not the good kind, like Thatlatu. You abviously havent posted in many topics on drugs. 90% of the pricks in E.D that dont like drugs post replys that are basicly exactly like that. Also it was a common myth in the 60s that if you smoke dryed bannana strings you would get high. I assumed by the first part of your post that you werent a stoner, and therefore more likely to mix things up and misunderstand. Well then, I "abviously" don't really care about that sort of crap. I just dislike the fact that everyone thinks that you have to be a stoner to be a hippy, so I came here and made a stupid joke about it. And do you really think I care about myths from the sixties? A banana leaf (B-A-N-A-N-A!!) is big, and you can thus role one around a handful of random dried stuff and say you're stoner. I'm not a historian either, I'm a mathematician and a musician. I write music and study architecture; the rest of the world can read about and listen to dead myths.

Well, of course, this post is not exactly relative to the subject of this thread, but I definately wouldn't say your post was either, and I believe it to be very rude to simply cut off a conversation. I read the rules for the guild, and if I'm not mistaken, I believe they requested friendliness. Now, I'm willing to not think of you as a stupid n00b if you'll do the same for me, and if you'll try and be a bit more friendly, because right now, you just sound like some stoner who really doesn't give a damn, which is definately NOT qualification for being a hippy.

I believe I see what you mean. Of course, just because you have a bed to sleep on, does that mean you should never sleep on the floor? I don't think so! I posted my opinion: that I dislike the fact that many people believe you have to be a stoner to be a hippy. I really don't think there's any rule about posting something in a thread that relates to a post slightly instead of simply posting in a thread that relates to what your saying very closely.
Would you talk about the Beatles in a Beatles thread, even if there's a thread to talk about your favourite bands? I would!
Oh yeah, and the rule is "Keep a positive vibe". Now I'm going to throw an imaginary set of vibes at you, because that's the next best thing...don't drop it. wink

I dont take offense lightly, even more so if its from a know it all. I have enough stress in my life that I dont need to deal with pricks when I get off work, and I try to relax. And I didnt say you were off topic. I said there was a thread for what you wanted to say that was made when the guild was, to disscus those things.

This is the hippie guild, and we must uphold all hippie-ness, which includes peaceful discussion and tolerance of other opinions. Thatlatu is correct in pointing out that everyone has the right to their own ideas on the topic, and as far as I've noticed every post has been on topic, except the last few of an argumentative nature. However, Darkfist007 is also justified in feeling a bit offended. I think I can apologize on behalf of everyone in saying that we're sorry if you feel we've attacked your way of life. At the same time, if an on-topic joke offends you, this might not be the right discussion to join in on.
