.......March 10th..

Russtiie
Several day's had passed by, during which Tobias and Jade had gathered what information they knew about recovery, and attempted to bring Jade's grand-father back to good health. To both the young wolves surprise, they had suceeded. Fairly well rested and with his health coming back, Jade's grand-father was extrmely grateful and proud of Jade and her new found friend.

It was quite warm within the cave and Jade lay nuzzled into her grand-father's side. The passing days had bonded Tobias and Jade together, and Jade admired and valued Tobias as a close and special friend. Slowly opening her eyes, Jade glanced at the sleeping Tobias, and smiled. She stretched and left the cave to sit in the crisp morning air. Thankful that her grand-father was safe, Jade gazed into the morning sun, and memories flooded her mind.

Faces of the one's she cared about brushed past. Gizmo. Jade said aloud. Jade hadn't seen Gizmo in quite a while and was quite concerned. Normally he would have checked up on her, however with the storm and all the occurances, she could understand why he wouldn't have come by. Jade howled out, listening as it echoed through the surrounding valley's and forests. She howled a second time, louder then the first, trying to force the sound to new heights, past the heavens.

Jade waited for her grand-father and Tobias to awake so they could eat a big breakfast, caught late in yesterday's afternoon..

Kimaria
Gizmo had been lazing about for a long while, especially since the storm had lifted days before and he hadn't really done much other than stay by Aeria's side.

Sometimes when he felt a little lonely and upset he would make his way through the forest he had known to call home and walk out to the riverside and sit upon the rock that him and Kam-Kam had been on before the storm had settled in the skies.

He missed the pale green wolf dearly and sometimes when he was feeling extra lonely he would go to that place and stare off across the river, golden eyes glazed over with a longing to see his friend again. What if something had happened to him and he wasn't coming back? A small whimper escaped from his furry throat as he moved to lie down on the cold ground, nose inhaling deeply before being lowered so his muzzle lay cradled between his front paws.

He had spoken with Haku about some interesting things a couple of days ago and that had atleast cleared some confusion up, but there were also many things he did not understand. For now however he had decided to put those worries aside and contemplate on his missing friends, for Jade had also been missing for a long time now. A worry had begun to gnaw at his insides and he whimpered loudly, raising his head to glance about.

He had only once left the territory in search of Kamali and he hadn't gotten very far before he came crawling back, tail tucked between his legs. He had met a silvery pup by the riverside and they had talked only briefly, but it had been long enough to realise he had been in another pack's territory.

Gizmo trembled and pulled himself into a sitting position, throwing back his head as he gave a wide yawn. Then suddenly the sound of a distant howl trailed through the wind, knocking him to his senses. He leapt up onto his feet, ears drawn forwards as he listened intently to the lonely sound as it echoed from the pines around him.

At first he thought he was hearing things and then the second howl tore through the air, a louder version of the one it had followed. With an excited yip, causing his breath to mist, the young wolf gave a round of barks, pausing before throwing back his head and parting his jaws in a long and rather satisfying howl.

It was Jade! It had to be her!

With a sudden burst of energy the young wolf turned, young muscles bunching as he sprung into the trees once more, his legs running faster than ever before. The forest around him was merely a blur as he howled again, the sound echoing until it faded into silence.

Where was she? She had to be close!

Russtiie
Jade's ear twitched at the sound of a far away bark, however she ignored the sound and re-focused on the sky. Gazing deeply into it, her concerntration broke once again, as several more barks followed the first. Her ears suddenly perked up as she recognized the bark. Not wanting to stray to far away from the cave Jade began to bark. Gizmo!! Gizmo!! It has to be!! Jade wagged her tail and bounced side to side.

She ran around in small circles and no longer being able to resist, charged forward, in the direction of the barks. She reached the foot of a small hill, and standing 10 metre's or so on top was Gizmo. GIZZZ!!! Jade sprinted forwards almost crashing into him.

She licked him on the cheek and grinned, as her tail wagged so fast she could have propelled. Gizmo! I'm so happy to see you! I have so much to tell you! Where have you been!?! Oh my goodness!! Without taking a breath, Jade continued to blurt several questions. Slowing herself down she smiled. Im just so glad to see you!

Kimaria
Gizmo's eyes widened as he saw the mossy green pup and his maw parted in a lop-sided grin. He knew it had been her! With another small yip he jogged slowly over to her, jumping aside as he thought she might not be able to stop.

As she moved to lick his cheek he took a small step back, looking at her in shock. What had that been for and why was he suddenly feeling a little embarassed?

He shook his head to free it of thoughts and pounced forward, nudging at her side with the flat of his skull, oh it was so good to have a friend with him again, even if she was a little on the small side.

I be with Aeria, and look for Kam-Kam. He left and me lonely but been with Ria lots until a day go. I heard you howl and knew it was Jade. I know how you sound. His tail beat against the ground and he pounced onto her, yipping his excitement.

I glad to see you too, even if you did shrink. He beamed, golden eyes shining brilliantly.

Russtiie
Just hearing Gizmo speak was like a refresment for Jade. Kam left? Why!? Asking questions, yet not leaving room for Gizmo to answer Jade continued talking. How's things going in the pack? Has anyone been told where Tobias and I have been? Why were you out here? Slowing herslef down again, she stepped back and took in a large breath, and then let out a sigh of relief, which suddenly turned into a gasp.

GIZMO! YOUR SO BIG! WOAH! LOOK HOW BIG YOU HAVE GOTTON! Jade was astonished to see how much Gizmo had grown. You look GREAT! Jade also said to herself, and incredibly handsome. She then giggled and pounced on her much bigger friend.

Tobias is inside my cave with my grand-father. He was hurt in the storm, and if it wasn't for Tobias, he would have died.

Kimaria
Gizmo panted in his wolfish laughter, standing back a little to regard his friend with affection and happiness. She was so bouncy and full of life, just as he remembered her being. It made his heard warm to suddenly be reminded of the friendship he had missed out on the past few days.

Kam-Kam look for friend, go 'way and no come back, I look for him but no find so he still be missing. He sighed a little and glanced down at the ground before snapping from his depression and continuing, loving to answer questions.

I go wait for Kam-Kam come back, I hear you and come find. Then find you and here I be. He beamed and his tail wagged faster, both ears drawn forwards at full attention. Pack good, but me came for a bit of lone time, not know where Aeria went so decided to walk.

At her next statement the young wolf gave a bark and nodded his head enthusiastically. I be growed up soon! He gave another yip as he rolled over onto his side, reaching up to n** at one of the green wolf's ears, but paused in play as he listened to her final statement. He shuddered and barely managed to contain a whimper. He couldn't handle anymore death...

Russtiie
Jade listened intently to every word Gizmo spoke. Hearing his voice was so exciting, because Jade had felt a strong connection with Gizmo, and she had lost contact with him for what seemed an eternity.

My pops is ok now. He is much better, and will be back to his usual state of things in the next couple days. Jade again pounced on Gizmo. The past week had been quite stressful and she felt she needed a little bit of fun and excitement. So Mr. All Grown Up, I bet you can't catch me! Jade grinned angelically at Gizmo and darted off in-bewteen the trees!

The chase brought back so many memories shared with Gizmo, which made Jade smile even wider. She felt a strange feeling around Gizmo, one that made her feel kind of tingly. This strange butterfly feeling was all that was repeating in her head as she ran, in their childish yet exhilerating game.

Kimaria
Gizmo rolled over onto his stomach and pushed himself back up onto his feet, glad that things were going well with Jade's grand-father. It must be good to have family to depend on, a true blood relative who knew you better than anyone. He sighed wistfully and tilted his head, remebering that even if he didn't have any blood-relatives he still had Haku and Lera. He had Aeria and Jade too, and even if Kam-Kam never came back to them he supposed that would be something to live with.

He just hoped the pale green wolf didn't forget the pack and himself, it wouldn't be very nice to be forgotten.

Then he snapped back to attention at the green wolf's challenge and with an excited bark he bounded forwards, tearing after her as if he would never tire. He barked again, the sound strangely adult-like in tone, before diving into the trees alongside the path. He would take her by surprise at the clearing just ahead. He'd show her how clever and grown up he was!

Making sure he moved as silently as possible he ran with his stomach close to the ground, his legs moving as fast as they could. He would catch that wolfess if it was the last thing he did.

Tobias awoke with a start in Jade's grandfather's little cave. Forgetting where he was momentarily, he jolted up and looked around. But, upon glancing at the old wolf, he remembered. Wondering where jade had gotten to, he stepped outside the cave.

A cool breeze fluffed his fur and refreshed his mind. It had been getting warmer, spring would arrive in a month or so. He couldn't wait; he hated the bitter cold of winter.

Jade was nowhere in sight. As he listened closely, he could hear playful yips in the distance. Feeling a rush of energy, he ran a little ways away to find Jade and Gizmo!

"Gizmo!" he said with surprise, "I haven't seen you in forever! You're as big as me now!" He smiled, glad to see the pup had grown to about his height now.

Russtiie
Jade roared with laughter as Tobias can dashing up to Gizmo, giving away his position. She poked out her tongue at Gizmo and fell to the ground laughing at Gizmo's expression of embaressment. After Jade has settled her laughing she walked over to Tobias. Good-morning! How's pop doing?

Standing in between the two towering wolves Jade felt incredibly little. Repeating in her head, I will get my growth spurt soon... I hope... She looked at the two wolves, and found a great satisfaction. They were almost like a family, something that Jade had almost forgotton. She had her grand-father and the two of them made their own little family, but the feeling of having several wolves around you, whom you truly care about meant everything to Jade.

Let's get this show on the road! Tobias caught lots of food yesterday, so why don't we all go and have a big breakfast! Jade grinned at the two wolves. Her pack brothers.

Nikui
Hmm, this was strange. She'd shift away from her position near the hut, which smelt of human--and wolf. Which was irritating her. Wrinkling her nose, Kirai would huff, and move away slowly, but her stride was in a prance. She smelt other wolves close by--she wondered if she could get to them...Or get a meal. There was a scent of pup, as well...she could lure in some crows and--Well, lets leave that alone. She gave a wicked smirk, her stride picking up a bit, that arrogant prance never leaving her. Mm, what a good day this shall be...

That was when she saw Gizmo and Jade.

Kimaria
Gizmo gave a yip of excitement, tilting his head over at Tobias and wagging his tail furiously. He hadn't seen the older male wolf in what seemed like forever, and his joy over the reunion was heightened over Jade's reaction.

With a loud bark he dashed forwards towards him, his golden eyes shining with happiness at finally meeting up with his friends after all this time.

With a jolt of excitement he dashed over to the male throwing himself at him and buffeting the flat of his skull up against him. Tobie! Gizmo paused and blinked, staring between his two friends and drawing both ears forward, pausing as he caught his breath. You found me, you been with Jade? He glanced over at the young female and wagged his tail again. He felt so happy he thought he would burst.

Then suddenly his yip caught in his throat as a strange scent caught at his nostrils and he turned part way to stare into the trees. A shiver of fear ran through him as he wondered who it was out there and then in the glimmer of the forest he saw her, a strange wolfess he had never set eyes upon before.

He turned his head once again to get the attention of his companions before trotting forward a pace and tilting his head in an innocent fashion. You there. He called softly, You be lost?.

Russtiie
Wide grinned and sparkly eyed Jade admired this moment, anf felt extreme joy and for a second all her worries disappeared. Her ears perked up as the sound of something approaching arised. She lifted her forest green nose into the air and began to sniff in small short breaths. It was an scent of something Jade did not recognize, however she did recognized a familiarity, one linked to members of her pack.

She stood beside Gizmo and watched as the un-known approached through the nearby bushes. Jade squinted to recognize the wolf, however it was a face never seen by her before. A wolfess stood before her, and Jade was relieved to see another female wolf.

Hello.. Jade followed after Gizmo. She smiled at the wolf, wanting a positive and utmost pleasant first impression...

If it were possible, Tobias would have grinned from ear to ear.

"Yes, I helped Jade find her grandfather." he answered Gizmo, happy to see the wolf again.

Just then, he heard a slight ruffle in the bushes to his left. The others began to notice it too, and Gizmo walked up to the strange wolfess. She had a strange air about her; Tobias sensed he didn't want to get on her bad side. In an attempted to be friendly, he greeted her along with Gizmo and Jade.

"Hullo." he said quitely. Perhaps she was hungry. Remembering the food they had caught the earlier in the cave, he piped up. "Are you hungry? We have some food in the cave..."

Nikui
She cracked wicked, wolfish smirk. Yes, bad pun. She wasn't a very--kind wolf. And these little things were slim pickings, but hell. Wrinkling her nose slightly when they questioned if she was hungry, she'd begin to step in their direction...head and tail held high, as if she were now their alpha. Tongue would run over her chops, baring large fangs...as well as the marking on her chest...which was much like Gaara's, but somehow different...

"Hello, children." She greeted in a low tone...sounds rabid, almost. That smirk never leaving her ebony tinted lips.

Russtiie
Jade became un-sure of the shady wolf and stepped backwards slightly crouching. She felt weakened and powerless just through the tone in her voice. She looked at Gizmo and Tobias for support, then dry swallowed, corrected her posture and asked, What's your name?

She waited rather impatiently, not out of impoliteness, but Jade began to worry about her grand-father. We should probably go back to the cave. I need to check on Pop.

Kimaria
Gizmo twitched his nose thoughtfully and raised his head a little higher, his eyes running over the array of colours that covered her pelt. Both ears flattened back a little and if it wasn't for his friends standing beside him he would probably have shrunk back into submission.

Instead he summoned his courage and took a small step forwards, tail wagging very slowly to make it clear he meant only to be friends with this she-wolf.

Why was she acting like their superior? For surely there could not be another pack in the area, or Haku would have noticed it. Yet she acted as if she had rank, when really she could be nothing more than a lone wolf.

He tilted his head in Jade's direction and smiled softly, she was so brave! His courage mounted further and he trotted up to the strange female, pausing to draw in her scent. An unfamiliar feeling crept up into him at the look in her eyes and it took all his strength not to bare his teeth at her. Every wolf deserved a chance, and going on first impressions alone would not be fitting of his nature. No, jumping to conclusions just would not do!

Kouseki
The alpha male let out a deep growl, sniffing an unknown wolf in his territory, and rather close to one of the pups. Snarling slightly, he would leave from Bran's area and take off towards that scent. Something about it made him VERY uneasy.

Then he saw her, she looked like she was insane. Must be related to Gaara or something. Shrugging slightly, he move in front of her, between her and the others, to protect them.

"Who are you and why are you on my lands?" He snapped. Seeing her position, her would snap again, this wolf was NOT going to have fun in his lands if she was going to pretend to be an alpha.

Nikui
She'd slide her shoulders a bit, arching her back downward in an easy pose. "Why do you question me, Alpha." She'd murmur to him quietly, and lower her head a bit. She didn't want to be chased out before she got her brother. Her tail lowered a tad as well, "I'm Kirai. I am of the Northwest human territory." She bowed her head respectfully to Haku, piercing irises looked up at him.

"I'm searching for my runaway brother. I believe he is apart of your pack."

Kouseki
He looekd to her, at least she was backing down. That meant he didn't have to rip her limb from limb and feed them to her. With a small nod, he would look her over. Something made him not want to trust her, but he gave everyone a fair chance. "What is you're runaway brother's name?" He spoke, his booming voice obviously that of a protective alpha.

Nikui
"Gaara." She replied quietly, and smirked that wicked smirk she had had earlier. There went her meal. She would scowl inwardly, before straightening out, like she was at attention for him. She huffed, "I want him to come with me."

Kimaria
Gizmo - who had remained silent so far - tilted his head in interest, his ears twitching at the familiar name. So this female was related to Gaara? Now that he thought about it, the two were similar, perhaps not in looks but by their demenour and the way they carried themselves.

He moved up to stand beside his brother, that ever calming force. Luckily it didn't seem like there was going to be a fight. Instead he simply watched her with growing interest. Why did she want Gaara for?

Kouseki
Haku snarled slightly, his eyes narrowing. "Gaara is wounded, and he's not going anywhere." Shaking his head, he would look her over. If this girl went anywhere on his lands, he would be at her side watching her like a hawk. There was no way he would allow harm to his pack members. Not any of them. "What do you need him for?"

Nikui
Canting her head a bit, she couldn't help but allow her expression to change drastically. She was set to unreadable features, front paws together...her back ones slightly spread. Tail low, but her head raised...Again, she looked like a human soldier...ready at the command of her commanding officer. "Oh," was her witty reply, and a fake smile spread over her lips. "Well," she began, huffing slightly between her next comment. "I would like to see him."

Kirai was a witty girl, smart...keen and sleek. The only female of her family to pass her father's commands. "He is my brother. It's family business," her tone had gotten sharp, but she smoothed the edges...beginning to use her Charm to win this one. Her smile was calm, innocent...but her eyes didn't dazzle as they should have. A normal person would have been beyond gratified of the Alpha for keeping their brother safe.

She, on the other hand...Looked unrelieved.

Kouseki
He wasn't exactly won over by her charm, but would allow her to come into his lands. "Fine," he snapped at her, his eyes narrowing slightly. "You're allowed to see him, but you will NOT leave my side. If you do, prepare to have your insides fed to you." His hackles rose as a warning, obviously noting to turn his back on her.

Glancing to Gizmo, he would give a slight nod. He needed to talk to his brother to see if he'd found Kam, he wanted his friend back home.. Looking to the female, he would watch her. "After you,"

Kimaria
Gizmo lowered his head a little, ears pinned back against his skull as he peered up at the female through his teardrop shaped eyes. There was something that just didn't smell right about this situation but it wasn't his place to say.

A small whimper managed to escape from his throat however, and his tail curled about his hind leg as he continued to stare at the female. What had she said she was called...Kirai? That was a strange name, and she seemed quite strange herself. He had never met a female quite like her, enchanting and terrifying all at once. It sent a shiver down his spine.

He almost didn't hear Haku's words, too lost in thought about this stranger, but he snapped to attention suddenly, his head raising once again as he glanced up at the larger form of his brother.

Brother... He trailed off, eyes once again falling upon the female. Okay. He agreed after a momentary pause, and with a swish of his white tail began down the trail at a slow and wary pace, glancing back over his shoulder to check up on them frequently. It seemed all of his senses were on overload, his ears twitched at every sound and his nose kept picking up imaginary scents. He hoped she wouldn't stay too long.

Russtiie
A silent Jade, observing the situation, whispered into Gizmo's ear. I really have to get back to Pop. Giz if your going to go back to the pack then I guess I will see you in a couple days. She smiled faintly, nervous about the whole "violent truth" discussed. She tilted her head towards her cave, wanting Tobias to follow to check on her grand-father.

She slowly backed away from the wolves, not wanting to get to involved.

Kimaria
Gizmo paused and turned to the little green femme, in his concern for Haku he had forgotten all about Tobie and Jade. He lowered his head and nudged at her affectionately. A part of him wanted her and Tobias to stay by his side, they were the source of his courage.

Already he could feel fear overtaking him and he didn't even know why he was so scared. The female had so far done nothing to make him this terrified, and Haku was right there beside him. Yet something stirred inside him that made him fearful. Perhaps it was because he had witnessed the sort of things that Gaara could do.

An image of a sprawled and bloodied pup flashed through his mind and his legs almost buckled from fear. Perhaps it would be better for him to go with Jade and help care for her grandfather...but no...

Haku needed him.

Jade safe with Tobie. He was aware of how much his voice trembled and although part of him desperately wished she would stay with him, he kenw he had to let her go. It was safer here for her then it was being with the pack right now.

He took a small step backwards, golden eyes glossy with the growings of panic, observing the small collection of wolves around him.

Gismo see Jade later. He muttered, taking another few steps back, stepping onto the trail which led to home.

strawberry jelly
Tobias watched all this in silence, taking it all in. It didn't surprise him that this strange wolf - Kirai, was it? - was related to Gaara. She had similar markings, and her personality was similar, but still different. As if it was a Gaara without a conscience, for even though Gaara may be a bit violent sometimes, he never seemed suspicious, or sly, or... wrong. Because that was what he got out of this situation: Something was definately wrong. But no, Gaara was still a good wolf. Kirai, however... Tobias had a very odd feeling.

Tobias wasn't scared. Rather, curious as to what Kirai's ulterior motives were. He did not know at all the full story of the dead wolf in the grass that he had found. All he knew was the pup had somehow been an enemy. In fact, he was pretty oblivious to the pack's goings on. He made a note to himself to ask Gizmo or Jade later where Kamali was. He hadn't seen him in a while, and he wanted to talk to his brother.

Suddenly, Jade wanted to go check on her grandfather. He looked back to Gizmo; his eyes flickered with a light of fear, but suddenly he seemed resigned, and panicked. Tobias did not know of what. Was he scared of the wolfess? Haku would make sure she didn't escape, or do anything bad. haku was the alpha, and he would protect them. Slowly, he got up and followed Jade, showing no sign of being phased by this entire situation.

"Bye, Gizmo! See ya, Haku!" He called out sunnily, trotting in the direction of Jade's grandfather.

.......April 25th..

Russtiie
It had been a slow paced two months for Jade, practically isolated from the real world. She had been watching over her sick grand-father and had lost communication with her friends and pack-members. She often found herself day-dreaming, and admist all the craziness and responsibility she had taken on, a bubbly, energetic and adventurous wolf was attempting just waiting to burst out.

One morning, Jade finished eating breakfast with her grand-father (who had long been walking), and decided to take a stroll in the woods. Feeling satisfied with her decision through her grand-father's approval, she left their cave and headed into the dense forest. Jade's stroll gradually increased, becoming a sprint. She lept over rocks and small bushes, darted in-between tree's, and rolled down leaf covered hill sides. Eventually she came to the river where she drank a quenching amount of clean and icey water. As she pulled away and the ripples ceased, she starred into the reflection of a un-seen wolf. This wolf shared many similarities with Jade, yet looked older with more mature features. Jade's eyes widended and she grinned foolishly.

Wow... Time has certainly passed... The wolf gazing back was an older Jade, a wiser Jade. She had not noticed her changing appearance in the past months, so Jade took the time to observe details. Jumping with excitement, Jade felt proud and beautiful. Settling down, she lay by the river, listening to the calm and peaceful sounds surrounding her. She desired a wolf to converse with, and not wanting to travel to far, she needed a wolf to come to her...

Baneful
Dagda found himself a-wandering as usual, alone through the forests. It was the way he liked it really, to be alone with his thoughts. Still, it was never long before his wandering mind returned to thoughts of water. His pack had once thrived on water, feeding on the animals drawn to it, using it for exercise and telling tales of the creatures that lived within it. All day he had heard the faint rushing whispers of a river nearby, and the very sound drew him closer, like a siren?s song. Finally, he came within reach of the river and broke free from the leafy shelter of the undergrowth, stepping into the light and slinking like a navy shadow over to the water?s edge where he slaked his thirst with the chill liquid.

All the while that he drank, he refused to meet his own gaze in his reflection, always had thanks to the belief his clan had held that to do so was to lose a little of one?s soul.

And heaven knew he had lost enough already.

All the while, he remained blissfully unaware of Jade not so far off.

Russtiie
Listening to the bird's song from the nearby Oak, Jade stretched and let out a loud yawn as she lay by the cool river. Rolling onto her side Jade gazed into the water, and followed its flow with her eyes as it travelled along. Her gaze ceased as a wolf lapping up the water snatched her attention. Jade's tail wagging with excitement, she stood, squinting to examine the wolfs figure.

Taking a step to close to the river, Jade lost her footing on a loose rock and tumbled into the cool water. Splashing about, Jade made her way to the oppsoite side of the river, slipping on her exit. Standing up-right, soaked and embaressed, Jade bashfully glanced at the wolf.

Baneful
Needless to say, Dag got the fright of his life when the silent solitude of the river was interrupted by the sound of another splashing through the river's waters, the sound was a barrage on his sensitive ears, but still, he loved the sound of water, so it didn't matter /too/ much. Only when the chaos had settled a little did he get a good look at the other wolf that was the source of the noise.

His sulphur yellow eyes scanned the emerald hued female with some interest, after all, her pelt was most definately a luxuriant and unusual hue and one he had not come across before.

For once, oddly, he hadn't felt threatened at all by the other's approach. Perhaps it ws something to do with how at ease the water made him feel. In fact, he hadn't even curled his lip as he usually did. Still holding his tail high, as he often did, Dagda gave Jade a nod of his head in greeting and a broad smile for her mishap.

"Why hello there miss, enjoying the river?" his voice was, as always a cool tenor purr, for once, with no trace of sarcasm or maliciousness.

Russtiie
Purely embaressed and a little in shock Jade lowered her head. Shaking dry, she desired a pleasant introduction despite her foolish entrance. Collecting herself she approached the navy and smokey frosted wolf and chuckled at his witty comment. I quite fancy a chilling swim, I find it refreshing. Of course, I would prefer to swim by choice, not un-expectedly. Smiling, Jade turned and watched as the remaining ripples faded back into routine, after being seperated through her gracious tumble.

I'm sure you would take pleasure in connecting a name with my gauche behaviour. I'm Jade, and it's a pleasure to meet you. Sitting Jade waited for a response, one that would not involve mentioning the river incident. Noticing some nearby flowers, Jade leant towards them and embraced their divine fragrance. I love flowers. My grand-father collects certain petals, soaks them, and combined they form a delightful scent. I often rub a little into my fur.

Baneful
Dagda knew what it felt like to make a fool of oneself infront of others, having done so only very recently, so he made it a point of his not to mention anything else to do with the incident and to respect the emerald female's pride. However, he couldn't just ignore a chance to talk about water.

"Swimming is one of my lifelong infatuations..been doing it since I was a pup. And indeed, choice is a good thing, though surprises can be pleasant too."

Dag listened intently as he was permitted to know the other's name. Jade eh? Perfectly fitting to her pelt and amiable but dignified personality. "That's a very fitting name for one such as yourself, Jade. Never had a chance to see a real Jade stone myself, but I have a feeling it wouldn't be far off your colour. Stone of royalty too, if I'm not mistaken."

He paused for a split second before going on. "Oh, where are my manners? Heh. The name's Dagda, known to most as Dag. PLeasure to meet you."

His sulphur yellow gaze followed Jade's to the flowers. Indeed, they were pretty, up until today he had never really noticed. Up until these last few months, he hadn't noticed the beauty in anything but death and pain.

"Interesting. Sounds like a definate way to keep oneself fragrant. May try it myself sometime."

Russtiie
Jade nodded agreeing with Dagda. Swimming is a luxury, and a very relaxing one too. My mother and I used to spend hours frolicking in the river. One time we found a small shiny stone, in which my grand-father identified as gold. The thought of her mother, and mere mentioning of the memory brought back a saddended emotion for Jade. Focusing back onto Dagda Jade smiled and continued.

Royalty? Well in that case shouldn't you be bowing? Your Queen commands it Sir. Dagda. Jade laughed and deicded to stand, hoping that Dagda would enjoy a stoll through the woods. Would you like to walk along the Forest track? I can show you some beautiful flowers just a little way down.

Baneful
Dag nodded intently as the female shared one of her stories with him. He loved to hear of tales of the past and listened the whole time intently. "Gold? Isn't that yellow shiny stuff? I heard of it from my grandmother, she said that the Mannaz, the humans value it as one might value a rich feast at the end of a harsh winter. Interesting that you would find it in a river." He gave her a warm smile, his cold sulphury eyes seeming to dance as he was reminded of tales from before.

"Indeed, a royal name requires nothing less than noble treatment." playfully he lowered his head in a bow, still keeping his tail high however, so as to not undermine his confidence.

As for her query as to wether he would be interested in investigating some flowers, he shrugged mentally, why not?

"Sure, I have little to do this day either way, show me these flowers of which you speak."

Jade grinned plafully, following the familiar path to the colourful flowerbed. The perfumed scent wafted along the track, luring Jade towards the natural grown garden. Over-head a flock of bird's passed, soaring swifting south-west. Glazed with tears, Jade's eyes followed the flock as they disappeared into a distanced sky. I wish I could fly away She whispered. The floral scent grasped Jade's attention, ceasing her day-dreamed moment, still continuing along the forest path.

Jade turned to Dagda, I wonder where their destination will be. Jade came to the opening of her secret garden. Speaking of destinations. It seems we have reached ours. She glanced at Dagda, and rushed into the ocean of flower's, dashing through the collection of colour's and scents. Stopping beside a group of Lavender Jade shouted to Dagda This one is my favourite!

Baneful
Dag followed Jade in silence for a bit, as per usual somewhat wrapped up in his own, somewhat analytical thoughts. He breathed in the flowery scent as if in a dream, it reminded him of summers back home with nothing to do but laze around all day.

As the birds passed, he raised his sulphur gaze to follow their path through the sky. They too reminded him of back home, but this time of his grandmother's stories of how the wolves once flew through the sky but gave up their wings to fly across the land on silent paws. It made him smile a little to himself, unaware as he was of Jade's wish to return to said skies.

He was snapped from his reverie as Jade spoke once more, and absent mindedly he replied

"Their destination will probably be somewhere they have been a million times before, and their ancestors before them. Winged ones, despite their freedom, are not ones to adventure."

//Not like wolves// he mentally added

As they arrived at the flower bed, Dagda's eye went wide, it was not often one found such resplendent colour so very deep in the forest. He did not rush into the flowers as Jade had done, somehow feeling that while she with her emerald pelt seemed a part of the very essence of these flowers, he would be an alien and destroy their beauty with his touch.

As such he skirted around the border of the flowerbed, treading carefully until he came to where Jade had indicated the flowers. His eyes fell upon the lavender and he grinned. Such a lovely colour and with such a sweet scent. Inhaling deeply before answering, he stated simply

"I can see why these are your favourite"

Adventure. An old friend of mine, Gizmo, used to always embark on little mischievous journeys with me. At some points, I filled with panic. Yet Gizmo always made me feel safe. Jade blushed and lowered her head, again embracing the delightful scent of the lavender. I wish I could nuzzle with Gizmo right now. Its been far too long.

Jade stretched and glanced at Dagda, whom was standing very proud and appropriately. Correcting herself, she sat poised, I am rambling again. Tell me about yourself Dagda. Where are you from? Do you have any family?

Baneful
Dag nodded. "I have never had the pleasure of meeting this Gizmo, he sounds like a responsible and brave wolf. I take it you two are close?"

He gave Jade a mischevious grin, meaning no maliciousness in his tone. He then swiftly moves on, not wanting to make the female feel awkward.

"I never really went far from home until about this year, never used to care for adventure. These days though, I can't seem to stay still."

Dagda's already somewhat regal posture took on a new level of stiffness as Jade enquired as to his origins however, his ears deftly flicking back against his head as feelings of embarassment, rage and old humilation vyed for dominance. But still he maintained his poise and said.

"Well, I grew up alongside a massive lake far to the northwest, my parents were careless and childish and as such I was raised by my grandmother. Not much of note really happened at home, I got bored, I left, that's the gist of it."

His tone was oddly abrupt as he spoke, indicating that indeed he was keeping something to himself, but even Dagda wasn't sure what secrets lay within the depths of his mind.

As Dagda spoke of his history, Jade observed his tone and expression differ. His pressure shifted slightly between his legs, swapping the weight constantly, a sign of nerves. Wanting to comfort, Jade nuzzled the tall navy wolf. Stepping away, she slightly smiled, Next to a river? I see why you enjoy swimming. Our family cave is near the stream. My father and I spent alot of time there. My mother and I travelled here alot. These are now of course, merely memories. Because both my parents have passed on, and now Its my grand-father and I.

Jade headed out of the flower garden. Follow me. I want to show you something. Jade's pased increased, constantly glacning back and shouting. Come one! Keep up!

Baneful
Dag was somewhat startled to be nuzzled, and though re-assured a bit, he fought mentally with the side of him that desired to lash out at those who came anywhere near him. Somehow he came out on top, and as if nothing had happened, gave Jade a smile.

"Yes, I adore swimming, it's one of my true loves. And as for memories, they are always with us, wether those they involve are not."

As the green female ran on ahead out of the flower garden, he followed on behind her, setting up an easy, lolloping gait behind , making sure not to lose her.

Darting in-between tree's, Jade dashed through the forest, as if she were a bullet, where she finally pierced her destination. Slowing her pace down, the wolves came to a sudden slope, a rocky climb, transofrming into quite a large hill. A flat slate lay accross the top where Jade stopped. This is the place.

Knowing Dagda must be puzzled to why this place held so much importance within Jade, she grinned. We wait. The sun should be setting shortly, so get comfortable. Sitting, Jade continued with the history of the small mountain.

Tree's block the window into the sky. And this hill, equally high, allows you to observe magic. My grand-father used to walk me here when I was younger, and we would sit for hours talking and playing, waiting for hours in anticipation of that one moment. Looking over the sea of tree's, Jade felt over-come with a great satisfaction, security and warmth. The height, and view was exhilerating. Its almost time...

The crisp fresh morning breeze, wafted through the den. Gazing into a Lotus flower, practically perfect, aside from a bruise on one petal's tip, Jade lifted to her feet, and entered the brilliant sun rising. A flight to heaven, shining for all to witness.

Mostly reserved for the past months, Jade had not spoken to a soul beside her grand-father. Her matured physique, lavish green coat and beaming olive eyes, stared into the mountainous distance. Jade had withdrawn from friendships and pack membership, to care for her un-well grand-father, also procrastinating facing a certain male wolf - Gizmo. In recent news, he had settled with Aeria, which greatly un-settled Jade. Always picturing a future with Gizmo, and romantically playing, had shattered instantly. Jade feared the moment, she would encounter this aching memory, her first love.

She gracefully blessed the riverside with her presence and lapped a small amout of water before laying silently aside the slow, crystal current. A bird, flying over-head, alone, intrigued Jade. She followed the bird with her eyes, then when the ebony delight decsended into its nest, feeding its offspring, Jade realised she wanted, needed a companion. It was at this moment, she realised. She must venture back into her world...
