I think the heart of the problem here is that pure information can not effectively be conveyed from one person to another. Any thing that has ever been typed, said, written, or expressed in any way must go through several layers of filtering. That filtering manifests itself as : your current mood, a particular agenda, your upbringing, or even the general atmosphere around you. Ask anyone who has read a large book several times; weather it be the Bible, Book of Morman, War and Peace, or even the Karma Sutra; they will tell you that each time they learn something new, or see something previously unnoticed in the text before. Perception can not be ignored or dismissed, and not a single person on earth can be 100% neutral in anything. If you take this into account you can see that no person can be taught the exact or whole truth, and no one can teach it either.

True, none of us can be 100% neutral or actually tell or teach the whole truth to anyone else.

@ryoki- I applaud you. Wish we grew up in the same area 'cause I've gone through similar scenarios (didn't wear black {wanted to but my mom would kill me} or hang out with people though. instead I fled to books) and i have to admit my best friends aren't members and I don't feel it matters. if you ever come down to my area though, i'll introduce you to people who've been outcasted within the church society and those who are cool with both parties. Mormon Culture sucks and is a pain. LDS doctrine is true and wonderful. And central arizona's pretty laid back so we're all good. =D
Anywho, yeah, everything she said about our views on homosexuality is true. I believe there was a talk by brother worthlin (correct me if I'm wrong) where he said it was natural to love someone of the same sex. hey, I love my girl-friends. The thing is whether we let that drive us or if we take control of ourselves and remember it's physically impossible for anything lasting to happen. Some one tell me how long gay marriages and the like last. I'm getting the impression from the media that saying you're gay is a fad and isn't really something to be serious about. I dunno. this is a subject I don't like talking about anyway. but do know this: back in noah's day, people were doing the same things as now, and even slept with the animal kingdom. this really screwed things up nature wise so noah had to preserve what was left of the animal kingdom before things went too wrong. We're beginning to be the same as pre-flood people. The flood's not going to return, but fire's coming. Time to clean up our acts.

My interpretation of the second article of faith is that Man shall be punished in the correct form for his own actions whether it be good or not. Adams transgression started this era, but his sin was punished with good consequences not bad. It sounds confusing, but you really need to take a different view of it. This article is trying to teach you that there are really three types of consequences; good, bad, and not being punished( doing nothing)
