i'm a lacto-ovo vegetarian. although i don't drink milk or eat much yogurt. i use soy for both of them, rather than dairy.
by the way, you forgot an ovo vegetarian option in your poll.
i love to eat peanut butter. it has a ton of protein in it. on celery it's very healthy.

Crap i hate tofu, i dont know how you eat it eek
I'm a vegan, as is my husband. For snacks i'll make a small fruit salad, steam some asparagus, or eat a small salad consisting of bean sprouts & lettuce.
I also like soy joy, but those are pricey if you dont buy them at an off retailer.
Another favourite is apple slices with peanut butter.....Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm biggrin

Unfortunately, I am not a vegetarian, I'm the complete opposite. I'm a southern chick that is a meat and potatoes. But I really think people should just eat how they should:: And stay healthy.

I'm from the South too. Born in Winston-Salem North Carloina. Rasied there, Texas, Germany, and Maryland. So barbecue ribs and Carolina chopped Barbecue is my like my favorite food, lol. If I had to not eat meat for a week, I would eat nothing but apples and bannanas and that's hard. I tried going vegetarian once, didn't work out so well in the long run.

im a lacto ovo vego. (but i try to avoid egg as much as possible)
try getting dips. like hummus, tzatziki or french onion & using carrots & celery sticks. i do that a lot & its really tasty.
i also have berry bushes & trees, lemon trees & a peach tree. so growing fruit can help save money too.
tofu, in my opinion, is best in a stir fry.
you can buy pre-marinated tofu with little chucks of veggies in it.. its really nice. you just take a slice & put it in a fry pan with a bit of oil or butter.
nachos are cheap & easy too. big bag of chips, salsa, lettuce, beans & sour cream.
i can think of lots of things.

lol I am a vegan. I just couldn't eat an animal. I just grew up with them and they are just good friends. I especially love cows. Cows are amazing. And Itachi, I love your sig. XD My friend Josh says, "Join the dark side, we've got cookies!"

Used to be ovo-lacto vegan, but I was seduced by the dark side, ie chicken. Seriously considering going back. As for tofu, it's a sponge food. By that, I mean it absorbs the flavor of whatever it's cooked with.
Other nice edibles : Boca Burger and Morningstar Farms make some truly wonderful foods, just stick 'em in the micro and BAM! instant tastiness. Peanut butter and honey is particular favorite of mine. Most grocery stores (whole food/organic shops like Green Life are best) stock carob. Melt it and dip fruit (apples, bananas, strawberries) in it for a sweet snack. If you don't mind dairy, strawberries or other faves dipped in yogurt (dannon or Kangaroo work best) is also good.
Portobellos grilled make good burger substitutes, as do peppers stuffed with mushrooms, celery, rice or whatever fillers you prefer. Imitation cheese (Kraft-type singles) aren't actually dairy, so roast some potatoes and melt the gooey goodness over 'em.
If any of this helps, let me know, and I'll post some more.
