kage no neko Ah. That's close to how I've heard it pronounced. Just reading it, it makes no sense. But it's not english, so it doesn't have to make sense, lol. I think I've heard it pronounced "sow-een" or "sow-in" (somewhere between those two). I looked up a pronunciation guide once. In whatever Celtic language that is, "mh" is pronounced like a "w". ("nh" is like a "v", apparently.) And vowels are replicated after consonants in particular conditions, but aren't pronounced, so that's why the second "a" is in there. So depending on your accent, "sow-in" looks like it'd be accurate.

Well, Equinox is comming quickly, so I need to start working on my menu. I do feast days on Equinox and Solstice. Those being the only 4 holidays I celibrate (so far). I try and keep the fare in season, so I've got something different every time. I also do a ritual meditation on the season and the changes that are coming with the turning of the season.

Feasts would be cool! You have people to share 'em with?
Last year I did three rituals at Vernal Equinox and I'll probably do the same this year.... one for the season, one for Idunna, and one for Persephone.

My husband, our best friend and occasionally his parents. My parents have no idea that I'm not christian, and my mother would likely cut off all contact with my family if she ever found out. If my feasts coincide with any other holidays we invite them and save my observances until after they leave.
I'm thinking about trying to contact a couple members of the Norse pantheon this solstice. I'm just not sure how to go about it. Really wish I could get my hands on some fresh goats milk.

Oh, I know that they love alchohol, but that's rather easy to come by. Goats milk on the other hand is a royal pain to find. I don't know of a single store within 15 miles that sells it. I've even tried putting a wanted add up on Craigslist. I wish that I still had my herd crying Such sweet milk 3nodding

I think I've seen canned goat's milk at Whole Foods and some "health food" stores. Do you have any of those near you? Since it's canned it might be worth going a long distance and stocking up. Why don't you have your goats any more? What a shame. They're lovely creatures.
For Alban Elfed (Autumnal Equinox, The Harvest) I'll be making quick mead, harvesting tomatoes and cukes and greens of all sorts (hopefully), and having a little ceremony in the woods out back. Unfortunately, since my Teacher moved away, we who used to attend her Druid ceremonies don't get together any more.

Unfortunately, since my Teacher moved away, we who used to attend her Druid ceremonies don't get together any more. I had to move to the city for school. I don't know of any apartments that allow hoofstock wink My parents kept a few of my does, as I had planned to move back with them after I finished school, but some coyotee/dog hybrids got into the barn and killed most of them. One of the 2 that remained died over the winter and it's just not right to keep a herd animal singly, does massive damage to their psyche, so she's being sold/rehomed. I also fell in love and got married, and found a job in the city so moving an hour and a hlf back to where my parents are just isn't feasible.

I'm thinking about doing a mini feast. Last year I did 2 equinox rituals. I did one for the Norse pantheon and I did one for the Greek Pantheon. This year I'm likely going to be doing one or two. It depends on who I feel like honoring.

It falls when the sun is at 15 degrees Scorpio; it does not depend on any particular moon phase for its' occurance. This year it falls on November 8th.
