If you would remember correctly. Val is on hiatus from gaia and is usually only on once in a while

I'm also a vice-captain, and I have no idea about any of the syndicate stuff cause I wasn't on gaia when that whole bit happened, so I wouldn't even know where to start.

hey wolfves, about that idea for a tournament, how about we make it so it drains peoples characters strength at speeds relative to their power, that would definitely even it out, anyone whos seen the movie hercules from 1997 i think, would kno what i mean.

good idea. biggrin or we can just tell them not to use any of their powers that may seem all god-modish and just cancel those powers out for the tournament.

If we really want to get technical then any magic whatsoever can be god moddish in a sense. Limiting powers and strengths on a character only hurt the fight and make it unfair for those who have worked for their power.

true...or of course we can tell everyone not to use any of their powers but that probably wouldn't work for some people. >.<
or we can try to bar everyone who's powers are too strong from the tournament like i said before but that would probably be unfair too.

Well, even somebody with god-moddish powers can be a really good RPer and not god-mod with that character. You could always just have judges for the fight who will decide who is godmodding or not, regardless of whether its one of that character's 'powers'

Or 4 different tournaments, one for the weak, the medium, the strong, and the godlike strength levels, good?

@RikoSeryuji: Good idea. So basically just tell everyone to know their limits no matter what powers they have or how strong they think they should be? >.< That's actually what I usually like to do anyway.
@Therealpayne: That might work. It would probably be hard to separate everyone though and decide where each person should be.

Hm, maybe versus a medium strength character it would be easier to place by the difficulty of the fite to the medium strength person, if its easy fite then they go in weak, if the person almost wins but doesnt or vice versa they go in medium and so on...i always get so ranty...

The problem with the different difficulty levels is it advocates godmodding. If you're in the highest level, you're more likely to godmod, I know that from Naruto RPs. Not only to the battles become a horrid contest of who can cheat better, they usually end up taking forever since nobody will admit defeat, and end up going on until someone gets bored and stops posting. I've found that tournament battles, and all battles in general, work better if there's some kind of judge.
And is it just me, or is it just the four of us posting?

i've worked something out to handle that though. each fight should only last for a given time. for that tournament rp i made a while ago, it was 2 weeks and that worked perfectly with everyone and we had no problems with any of the battles taking too long. we also had judges though so we should probably have some for this tournament too.
and...uh...yeah....i have noticed that only four of us are posting....... ninja kinda lonely... emo
that's why i suggested that we should pm the other members of the guild though.
