Deror gave her a small smile and headed off in a random direction. He didn't know where the rabbits were either, but he figured they'd have no chance of finding any if they didn't start in one direction at least, they'd never find any. So he slunk along, low to the ground, his long tail swishing. He'd followed one rabbit here, so there had to be more somewhere, right?

Pilate hopped on after, keeping up the best she could. Her legs were long, yes, but his were longer. It wasn't a struggle to keep up but it wasn't a cake walk. She giggled as she weaved her legs about in a way that kept her up to speed. It was fun.
"So, if we can't find a rabbit, " She giggled, "We could always race."

Deror kept at a decent speed, making sure he didn't go too fast for the smaller cheetah. It was nice to take his time for once. And it was definitely nice to have company.
"Hm?" He looked over her shoulder as she spoke. "You want to race?" he repeated, sounding a bit surprised.

Pilate gave the other a nod followed by her usual goofy smile. "Course, whats good with having such powerful legs if you don't get to use them here and there?" The cheetah purred, she had always wanted to challenge another cheetah to a race. Her lion friends were powerful, sure, but not agile.
Course, Deror was an adult and probably could run circles around pilate. Even so, she wanted to race.
"That is , if you don't mind being whooped by a cub like me, " Pilate giggled playfully. She wasn't being mean, just playful.

"Heh." He slowed to a stop and grinned back at her. "You think you can out run me, do you?" His tail swished in anticipation. A race did sound like fun... Except he was almost guarenteed to win.
"Sure. Why not. I'll even go easy on you." His grin widened. "On three?"

Pilate nodded, she didnt complain when he offered to go easy on her. The cheetah knew she was out of her league by a long shot , but still.
"Alright , " Pilate nodded, " On three." She ducked down in the grass preparing for her start, "One..."

Deror grinned and crouched, getting ready to run. His ear twitched, and he looked over at her. "Two..."

Pilate smirked as her maw formed the words, "Three." Not even moments later the cheetah had launched her self in to the air and began running. She was impressive but her gate was no where near as impressive of that of an adult.
The cub knew but still she ran and laughed as she did so. Running was always her favorite game.

At three, Deror darted forward. This was exciting. It seemed the only races he ever had were races with dinner, and well, that wasn't so much fun since he had to win those to eat.
Deror was a sprinter, not a long distance runner. He knew that, and hoping that the teen less of a sprinter and more of a runner, he decided to give her a bit of a chance. He focused on using his energy for the sprint, knowing he'd soon have to slow down. Maybe she could breeze past him then.

Pilate slowed a little, surprised how fast he was. She smiled and started back up shouting , "HEY!" After the male. This was fun and exciting for the cheetah. The first time in her little life she saw a full grown cheetah in action.
Only one word could describe her thoughts and that was incredible. Truly, the other cheetah was a site. But Pilate was also fast. Not as fast but she had some credit for her age. The female continued on after. Two streaks of green running through the savanna.

Deror raced across the plain, the smaller cheetah following behind him. He zoomed around a bush, and resumed his straight path once more. He knew he wouldn't be able to keep up this pace much longer, but that was okay. He didn't really mind if Pilate won. He was faster, but probably only because he was an adult.

Pilate was hot on the others trail, slowly closing the gap between the two. But a rabbit had her skidding to a halt. It skipped right across her path and had her doing a turn right on after it.
"DEROR!" She cried. Normally Pilate would eat a rabbit. The pray was just her size but she remembered her companion saying something about liking to play with the so she opted against catching and eating to day. The rabbit hopped as fast as a rabbit could. Desperate to evade the cheetah that could be a foe.

Deror expected her to pass him soon, and when she didn't, he began to slow down, frowning. He was just reaching a stop when she yelled his name, and he turned around to look.
"Oh!" He said, a bit surprised. She had found a rabbit! Grinning from ear to ear, he headed over to her direction. "Catch it!"

Pilate was an expert hunter , of small pray that is. Though this rabbit was a clever one, obviously had experience with the hunt as well. Pilate would leap this way it would dodge that way. It was a good thing that this wasnt going to be dinner, cause this hunt would have pissed Pilate right off.
"Deror, its coming your way!" The cheetah called to her companion. Indeed, her AND the rabbit were headed straight for him.

Deror grinned. The poor little rabbit was surely having a heart attack, but this was too fun. He kicked his legs into gear again and bounded towards it, getting ready to leap and capture it.
