And, of course, Boyan picked him up and brought him home?

It isn't that she doesn't think that helping the lost is the proper thing to do, but Tsubame sincerely hopes that Boyan made an effort to figure out where he belongs before he dragged him off. Sometimes it seems that the farther one wanders the worse the situation becomes.

But what's done is done, and perhaps they could go to look for where they boy belongs.

Ah, first things first, would Rou prefer apple, grape, or strawberry? There is also an artificially flavored orange substance, but only because Tsubame has not yet managed to discretely dispose of it.

Rou would like to reassure Lady Tsubame that it had been, in fact, discussed - and that Rou fell (literally) from the Golden World into this odd place that he does not seem to have caught the name of just yet. Which is apparently not an isolated incident.

At this point, Rou doesn't think the distance in between the fountain and the house is going to make much of a difference, he reassures her once more with a smile.

Rou rather like strawberry, if the Lady would be so kind, but he would like to warn them that, if she would be kind enough to offer food as well, that bread and noodles, especially as the latter are rather common where he comes from (though, he admits, that he has no idea about this place) have a tendency to make him somewhat ill. As much as he dislikes to be difficult, he would dislike to be sick in Master Boyan and Lady Tsubame's home even moreso.

Strawberry! Good choice! whee

Perhaps, Boyan thinks as he pulls out an empty chair for Rou (Careful not to disturb the stacks, he privately warns the boy; Tsubame would have Boyan's head.), it may not be so long until the way to the Golden World is re-opened. Boyan knows of someone who is working toward that goal, and he knows for a fact that it can work. He doesn't know if it WILL work, but it CAN work.

But in the meantime, there is a mountain of information to share with Rou-- and with Tsubame, actually, Boyan quickly realizes. She had been traveling so far out of Boyan's reach for so long that much of this Golden World/Silver World/Space Danish would be as new to her as it was to Boyan not too long ago.

--Boyan isn't quite sure that it would be a good idea to give the long version at this time... perhaps once Rou has rested, hmm?

If the ways back to Rou's home are closed off, then it's just as well that he came here. Tsubame's eyes wander to the curious portal off in the corner. Sometimes she wonders if she should have pressed harder about it, but she's seen stranger things out in the world. She trusted Boyan enough to believe it wasn't a danger.

No bread or noodles? Tsubame was thinking of an omelet and fried rice, but the ketchup she was planning to use for flavoring would probably have a similar effect on Rou. Shoyu probably wouldn't work either.

Tsubame studies the contents of the fridge when she opens it to get the juice. Well....

She fishes a bendy straw out of a drawer before handing the drink to Rou. Spam musubi might work. What does Rou think of seaweed?

Rou rather likes seaweed, and is quite sure that would be perfect. He thanks Lady Tsubame for being so considerate !

And he thanks Master Boyan in advance for the explainations, and he does agree that it is probably better to wait until he has rested and calmed - it was what his beloved master had to do with him, or else nothing seemed to stick in his head very well...

The young boy takes the offered chair and, as instructed, does not touch any of the piles of photographs, though that does not stop him from looking at them with great interest.

Ah, spam! It's a Gaian delicacy, Boyan informs Rou with a sage nod. Though it's something of an acquired taste... sweatdrop

His gaze wanders to Tsubame, and then to the portal in the kitchen-- an apparent window to an alleyway in the Space Danish Silver world.

That, he thinks, he would have to explain to both of them at the same time, so he wouldn't have to repeat himself. He doesn't know why it appeared in his kitchen, of all places, though...

But he quickly advises Rou that the portal is not the way back to his home. Not by a long shot. It's by no means a danger, of course, but it simply leads, well...

Elsewhere.

Tsubame is of the opinion that spam is best served fried, although it really is a matter of personal taste. She's out of the sauce that she usually uses, but there's some furikake that they can add. Since Rou likes seaweed, she'll use a lot. 3nodding

It probably ought to have occurred before, but she sincerely hopes that the window doesn't go two ways. If not, perhaps they should acquire curtains.

Rou, once again, thanks Lady Tsubame for her kindness. It is very deeply appreciated, especially with how most back home tend to either ignore Rou or dislike him on principle.

But perhaps this Gaia is more accepting of sorcerers, he wonders ?

Rou nods at Boyan as he listen. He was pretty sure of such already, for he was certain Master Boyan would have told him of such if it was the case. And since it was a portal that got him in this mess in the first place, Rou is more than happy to pretend it is not there. sweatdrop

Actually, Boyan notes sheepishly, the window kind of does...

Why does Tsubame think there are so many things piling up on their side of the portal, and why does she think there is a table with a bowl of candy on the other side?

His granddaughters, he informs Rou, have been communicating with someone on the other side-- Boyan can't for the life of him remember WHO this man is, but since the girls are physically unable to cross the portal, they have been trading food, toys, and books with this very kind man.

But aside from him, no one on the other side really seems to notice the portal.

At Rou's mention of sorcerers, Boyan can't help but be confused. He supposes, in a way, HE would be a sorcerer? At least, that's what the Celestial Chaos made him. Either that or an oracle, or both. He really doesn't know much about it.

But he does know that sorcerers of ANY kind are as plentiful as the air and the trees, and Gaia is so full of oddities ANYWAY that no one ever gives BOYAN a second glance.

Tsubame hadn't noticed the candy on the other side, and had thought the pile was just clutter, even if it was a rather odd mess. She hopes that Boyan has not forgotten about the "not taking candy from strangers" rule. Although if the girls can't physically pass through the window, they need not worry about any white vans.

She concurs: there are people around here that are decidedly stranger than Rou around here. Like Boyan, for that matter. Not to mention the sudden influx of sparkly vampires- goodness knows where those came from.
