Shylock sighed, continuing to walk into the water. Honestly, the ocean wasn't going to vanish suddenly if he didn't enter it in time. There was no point in rushing, especially when he really didn't care that much about the activity.
When he finally did step into the water, the wave that made Elisa taste the water just knocked him over a bit. Standing once more, he walked over to his little companion. "You okay?"

"Ye-ah. It just tastedes bad." Her longer tentacle swatted the water away from her as the new wave came in, agressively divebombing each piece of sea weed. The appendage had alot of frustrations. She swiped her tongue a final time with her hands before sinking back into the water. The cool depths swallowed her up in the best relief of Summer heat. "Hawve you ever drinkeded da water efor?"
Something was floating in the water just a little ways away. The light was bouncing off it as it jiggled, tossing it's hairs out into the water. "Oooh, wook at dat!" She pointed at it before woddling closer, slow but steady. "Whats dat, huh, huh? What is day, Shy?"

"Yeah, I know. I got some in my mouth once or twice the first time here." Shy stated softly, floating a bit before eying the strange thing warily. "I don't know what it is but I don't think we're supposed to get near strange things in the water." the boy pointed out. No sense getting hurt over something that wasn't that important.

Elisabetta turned back to him and stuck out her tongue. "Dats no fun at all." She floated closer to the pink object and upon moving her leg closer to it, small tentacles wrapped around her calf. Giggling, she scooted closer. "Wooky, it has tentamanacles wike me!" It attached itself to her leg, exploding the stinging shocks to flat out waves of pain. The toddler's eyes popped open as she screamed.
Backpedaling didn't seem to be doing her anygood and all of her efforts to pry it off was only getting her stung other places. Her heart was pumping blood just as fast as the jellyfish was shooting venom.
"SHY!" She screamed, whipping around to look at him frantically, tears mixing in with the streams of water down her face.

The boy sighed, shaking his head. He'd warned her. "Hang on, I'll get my Daddy." he told her gently before moving out of the water to go and grab the older dark skinned male. Zane blinked in surprise and stood, rushing over to help the little girl out. Before he rushed over, he took a little packet from a bag by him.
Carefully, Zane moved to lift Elisa out of the water and poured some salt from the packet on the jellyfish. The salt dehydrated it enough for the thing to drop off and try to get away. The man just carried her back to land at that point. "You're going to need to see a doctor about that, little lady. And put your swimming suit back on." he said, setting her by the clothes pile for a moment so she could do that.

Elisabetta looked after Shy in shock before turning back down to the Jellyfish. Since the creature was dead and floating along with the current, the shocks it was pulsating out to her was just the last remains of it's defenses. It's wrapping movements were just that; the waves pushed it onto her leg, thus seemingly wrapping itself around her.
The whole experience was still frightening for Elisa. She thought the scary thing was attacking her! When Shy's daddy came and picked her up, she held onto him with all her appendages for dear life. Out of the corner of her eye she thought she saw her mother drop her book, mouth wide in shock.
"O-otay," She responded meekly, sitting down without much of a fuss. The swimsuit was on in record time, just fast enough so that her mother could see her fully clothed when she came running up to them looking like an angel fleeing hell.
"What the hell did you do?!" Gabrielle dropped to her knees and pulled Elisa close, checking her over. Her leg had some minor swelling and it was relatively scorched, but seeing as it wasn't a life threatening problem the woman scooped her daughter up into a hug.
"It got me, momma. Shy told me not to, but it got me." Elisa whimpered.
"Thats why you should listen to your friends. Right? " The toddler nodded. Gabrielle turned to the nude boy, mentally rolling her eyes. Obviously it wasn't just her child that hated clothing. "Thank you." Her eyes flitted between the boy and the older gentlemen before she stood. "I think we should get going. Even dead jellyfish can leave a good sting."

The dark skinned man nodded. "Yeah, that needs to be treated pretty soon." he agreed, moving out of her way. Shy waved to Elisa, "Bye." he said softly, "Feel better."

Elisabetta smiled weakly and waved back, feeling really bad. Not because of her leg, but because she had to leave Shy so soon. It didn't feel like they'd had enough time to play. "Kay, kay, Shy."
She would never forget jellyfish because of this. They were horrible, horrible creatures who sucked the fun right out of life and only existed to ruin a good time. Vowing never to allow this to happen again, Elisabetta made a promise to herself never to go to the big water again.
