Bari didn't see his fur at first, when he shook himself off, as he was a little ways away while she was drying herself a bit more thoroughly. Although in the swamps, there wasn't a real thing as being completely 'dry.' You were bound to be at least damp anywhere you went in this place, what with mud and water and higher levels all around the place. It wasn't like her first home, that was for sure. The roguelands were a desert compared to this place.

Once she turned around, however, her smiled widened and she held back a chuckle at his poofy fur and mane. She knew she couldn't talk anyway, not with her lone, rebel curl. So she decided to spare him the little teasing and focused on the pretty flowers they were headed towards.

"I'd love to. Lead the way," she returned, ready when he was.

"Excellent," with that said, he pivoted on his haunches, heading back to the main path he had ran into Bari on. Occasionally, he turned his head around to see if she was following.

Once to the path, it would only take a few minutes to actually get to the den he lived in. He stopped before a few bushes. "Don't make fun, but my den is very small..." He shrugged, chuckling slightly. Being only one lion, he guessed it was 'comfortable' but a slightly bigger den would've been nice, especially if he was to have cub of his own one day.

"..but there is a lot of flowers." He took his paw, opening up the bushes to reveal a small, dirt colored den, surrounded by small patches of purple milkweed flowers. His blue eyes turned back towards her, "lots of flowers here."

She followed obediently after Odjio, shaking her head. "I won't make fun," she promised, walking a bit beside him but mostly behind him. They were heading back to the path, and once they hit it, they took a turn down a way she hadn't been before. So really, he didn't live so far away from her--their--secret place.

But Bari broke out into a delighted grin as she came up beside him to see a beautiful sight. "Oh, it's lovely!" There were so many flowers! She looked back up at him. "They're so pretty; I don't want to take any now," she laughed, hesitantly taking a step forward and past the bushes where they had stopped.

Then the smell came to her: the small little breeze that had come out of nowhere had wafted the scent of the purple milkweed flowers up towards her nose and she closed her eyes and smelled it happily. She definitely did not want to pick any of the flowers now, even if they would look beautiful in her grandmother's haven and her own.

He only smiled at her comment. This was one of the reasons he liked this particular area of the swamps. There was these purple flowers just surrounding the area, giving a bit of extra life to the brown view. "When you leave, take some," he told her. "There's plenty, and I am sure if there is an abundance here, there will be more elsewhere around the lands. When I traveled before coming here, I have seen this same flowers, but in different colors. Perhaps when the season changes, so will the flower colors.

"Your grandmother would like that I think."

Bari smiled and nodded. For someone he never met, Odijo was a good guess of character. She had thought the exact same thing when he mentioned the same flower but in different colors. Her grandmother would like that, a lot. The variety of colors would certainly brighten it up from the browns everywhere.

"I think she would, too. I'll have to keep an eye out for them then. I won't take many," she promised. After all, she didn't want to pick the area clean. How would Odijo get his happiness when there were no purple flowers to cheer him up? She waited until he stepped forward more to move as well. She didn't want to intrude in an area not of her own.

Odijo stepped forward past the bush, heading towards a small patch of flowers. "I'll keep my eyes peeled as well. Also, if I see any other types while roaming the land, I'll make sure to grab them." At this, he pointed to the small entrance of the den. "I can leave them there for you, until I find out where you live?" He grinned. "Then they'll be on your front step."

She grinned. That was a sweet thing to offer. Although perhaps showing him where her den was should be saved for another day; they had already done much today and Bari had a feeling that when they next met (which she also felt would be sooner rather than later), they'd have to do something as well.

"Well thank you," she said again. "And next time we meet, I'll show you where my den is," she added.

The next time Odijo was to meet Bari, he would definitely have to do it in the morning in the morning. Already it seemed the day had flown by, and it seemed as if they had just got together too. Time sure did fly when one was having fun, and already they had looked for flowers, swam and then looked for more flowers.

“Can’t wait.” He returned a smile to her, flopping on the ground. The sun was still in the sky, it would be best to grab the last bit of rays before the moon took its place. Besides, his fur was a little bit damp from the swim earlier. Odijo laid his head on the ground, his eyes watching Bari as she picked the flowers of her choice.

Bari grinned and went about picking a few flowers. They were so pretty that she just couldn't help herself; and it didn't help, of course, that he was being so nice about it and letting her do as she wished.

Her mouth now full of a good dozen flowers, she gave a muffled giggle and bowed thankfully and playfully towards Odijo before turning and bouncing off back towards the pool, and her Grandmother's own little sanctuary. The sooner she left, the sooner she could see him again. And she couldn't wait.
