Ophelia giggled good-naturedly as she looked from her brother's painting back to Casia. "I'm not sure that it's got a meaning," she told the girl. "I mean, you and I, we think like artists. But Fish thinks like a ten-year-old boy."

"Because I am one, Feely," said Fish, shaking his head as he applied generous amounts of more paint to the paper. What did she expect?

"There is not a bone of deeper meaning in his body," joked Ophelia. Fish looked up and blew a raspberry at her.

"Now you're just being mean," he said. "I'm gonna tell dad."

Casia looked fairly smug at being included as one of the people who thought like artists, and she looked at Fish half-pityingly. She supposed it was somewhat more difficult for most boys to think properly.

You know, what with the cooties she had heard about and all. Thought she had met some boys who seemed to be able to function despite them, or perhaps didn't have them, people like Josh and Fish were evidence that the disease was otherwise a pandemic.

Unlike Josh though, Fish had her pity, as he seemed pretty cherry otherwise. She gave him the benefit of the doubt. "I'm sure there are ways he makes up for it." she said, waving her hands in truce. The last thing the only child wanted to be in was a sibling fight, and even though the two sounded like they were goofing off, the siren didn't have much experience with siblings. This was an art studio! In Anna's art studio it was always zenlike, so the same should apply in the Liberty Center's. "Anyway, like I said, I just came in here to take a look around so I'm probably gonna beat feet soon." She paused, hesitant to leave, and her eyes were drawn to Fish's artwork, presenting her with an epiphany. "Oh, wait! It's like a mystery tour!" she realized, coming in closer to get a look. "You don't know what's going to happen until you're done, and then you're still not quite sure what went on."

She smiled, pleased with herself for having made the connection and hummed. "And that's an invitation to make a reservation, the Magical Mystery Tour is coming to take you away! You know?"

Ophelia shook her head. "No, I don't know," she admitted. It sounded like a song, but not one she had ever heard. "What is it?" she asked, intrigued. She liked music.

"Yeah, it's like that!" said Fish enthusiastically, scrutinizing the paper. "That's exactly it."

"Sounds a bit trippy," said Ophelia. The whole bit about not knowing what had happened after it was over, at least. Which wasn't to say she didn't follow the sentiment - she'd seen art like that. She'd seen concerts like that and movies like that and been on dates like that. She shrugged, letting the thought go.

"Don't let us hold you up if you're in a hurry," she said.

"The Beatles, sort of," Casia informed her, "I was paraphrasing though." To Fish she nodded enthusiastically, maybe he was better than she had thought! "Tell me where it ends up if you find out, yeah? It's a really boss idea."

She had never heard anyone else use the word 'trippy' except for Anna though, and she looked very carefully at the artist for a moment. The resemblance was faint, but it was there, and that in itself made for a confusing combination of pain and nostalgia. She looked at the door, half thinking that maybe it would be better to just leave, zenlike mood or not. The similarities that had made Merroth easier to talk to hurt a bit when they had to do with the person who had made her old house a home rather than herself.

However, something prompted her to stay just a little longer. She bit her lip and shook her head, Jane wouldn't be outside to pick her up quite yet. "I'm fine for at least a few more minutes unless I'm in the way. I don't want to be a bummer or anything!" Looking at Ophelia and Fish once more, she asked "What music do you like?"

"It's complicated," said Ophelia, wincing slightly. She wasn't really sure what sort of music she liked - Indie rock, to say the least, but that was horribly vague. "I've been to a few concerts - battles of the bands, more like it. They were a bit weird. Indy rock? Some of it was really folky and some of it was really pop-y. I liked the bouncier stuff."

She shrugged apologetically - her music tastes really were not that well developed. "Sorry, kind of unexciting," she said.

"Boring," proclaimed Fish. "Who are the Beatles?"

If they could somehow describe his painting, which even he didn't know the meaning of, then they had to be somewhat cool.

Casia's brow furrowed. "Indy rock?" she repeated, thinking of the Beatles' music after they had come back from India.

As for Fish's question, she stared. Not know who the Beatles were? How come all these philistines always ran into her? For once she'd like to meet someone who she could talk about her favourite band with candidly instead of end up doing the whole explaining schtick. "Well, they're this band of four lads from Liverpool, and all. They sang all sorts of things, they were real cherry. Sort of classic British rock, super rad, you know?"

Glancing at the clock, her wings flapped in alarm. That was the time already? She should have left earlier, her feelings were right. "Ah, I really do have to jet now though!" she exclaimed. "Catch you around, guys!" And with that, she exited, drawing forgotten what with one thing and another. The art room was an interesting place, but she wasn't sure she really belonged there.
