I'd like to stay on topic with this one, please.
It got deleted for namedropping. I was not calling out a user, but the developer. However, both the user, the user's "minions", and the moderator all felt I was attacking said user. As it turns out, the moderator is very buddy-buddy with the development team and is covering for them. I cannot speak anymore of what is yet to come, but heads WILL roll and nothing can stop me. I will be hiding my efforts in the future and just ask that none of you get involved any further, please. For now, I believe simply filling complaints will suffice.
So, on a related note: Has Gaia staff ever shut you or one of your friends down? If yes, how so?
An example: I had a friend who started a contest last year. She suffered from chronic headaches and doctor's found a cyst growing her brain. They decided to start an immediate operation. She was hospitalized for some time and lost some of her memory. She came back to Gaia for a short period of time, remembered the contest (which had ended without her), and tried to make it up to the contestants by sending out some of the prizes. Unfortunately, some genius got upset with her and reported her for scamming. She was banned shortly thereafter and has been for a few months now. She doesn't plan on coming back to Gaia even if her account is unlocked.

What a bunch of bullshit.
Sure, if they created a pet for someone's birthday who won a contest or something. Or for the creator of the game. But some regular Gaian?
Ya.. it makes me think. If they would do something like that, who's to say they haven't popped a few rare items into the inventory of this user? Added a few million gold to the account? I mean, I'm not saying they did.. but if they'd go and do something like that..
It also seems like speaking up about an issue never gets you anywhere. Some people may agree with you, but overall you get nothing out of it. It's like begging to a brick wall.
Gaia has been a big deal to me, and I will always like it. But.. the feeling of this place is not what it once was. Problems go unfixed, people go without answers. Gaia is sure to have many sponsors, so many I can't even name. Yet they don't have the time to fix the bugs.
I think it's bullshit, the whole thing. Creating the pet was bad enough, but then when you reacted to it they went and deleted your complaints.
I read about your friend as well. It's terrible, it really is. I have a friend who was banned and they never told her why or gave her back her old account. I guess they had banned all kinds of people around the same time they banned her, and they had not been given a reason either.
Whatever happens, I hope you get some kind of relief in the whole thing. An apology.. something. I totally respect the fact that you stood up and said something. I would have done the same thing.

While I have won the fundamental right for everyone to have a fair gaming experience: Qixter Yeah, I meant to do that a long time ago, Pachi. Glad you noticed. smile Regarding "favoritism"...well...the dev team won't be using their "dev powers" for anyone any longer. Period. It's not just because of this discussion, but because it's just good sound business practice. period. Anytime we do favors for a handful of people, we have to remember that there are millions of people playing the game that would *like* to have those things happen for them, and even if they don't get totally annoyed, it's just natural for people to get a teensy jealous, no matter what. So...eventually, we'll have a "Test Server" environment up (like we did for Closed Beta) and that's where we'll test a lot of the upcoming new big features. On the Test Server, the devs can play around and monkey with gameplay all we want...but on the Live servers...well...that's verboten. This is a new policy and we're all aware of it now. We have to be more professional. It's just not cool when we're not. The members of a certain guild still continue their mindless bickering. They can have their treasured experience. Mine has been far more rewarding.

What's great is even after all their harassment, talking about me behind my back, and getting their moderator friends to cover up the situation, my voice was still heard. I've heard things that haven't been made public, but now I feel that the situation is under control and that the members of the community will be treated fairly (with the exception of me, since their guild is outright harassing me).
