The cow had started to cut around the bite mark taking away all the dead tissue before she started to clean it with the herbs she brought, "Kartik if you would please grind the purple and the orange flowers together with the black bark for me..." she said softly Her mostly back fingers working on draining some of the blood and making sure she had the wound fully cleaned. "You handle women well." she said softly. Her eyes did not leave her work even as blood sprayed against her the side of her already blood splatter patterned dress. The small amount made the soft material cling to her and show her thin form.

Watching her work, his eyes widdened. She had bought those herbs just today. How did she know she would need them? Was it possible the boy's condition had come to her previously? He shook his head a bit to pay mind to what she had asked of him and gave a nod to her. He looked around for something to grind them in. Hearing her words his own voice was gentle in return, "It is kind of my job to be able to handle any situation with people involved. You work very well despite the situation. I do not think I could handle doing something like that.." He found a bowl and a grinding stone. He was quick to grab the items mentioned. "Do you wish them to be powder?" There were different levels of grinding down these things and the fact that he knew this much demonstrated it was something familiar to him.

"Some powder or all powder it does not matter...they should have come to me sooner..." she said softly and sighed once she was satisfied with the cleaning she then started to stitch the wound. She flicked her tail brushing the bottom of his robe. "When you have it ground mix it will my water vail." she said and with one hand she pulled her dress up, if the fox turned he would see the profile of her naked thigh as she pulled the vail from a band around her hip. She handed the vail to him.

"Someone has to take care of those in need...and I do not need to be liked to do so." she lowered her head to listen to the boy's breathing and turned him towards the edge of the bed just in time for him to vomit a bit. "Now why would a traveler need to be able to handle people? A lord from another land I assume?"

Hearing her words, he immediately began to grind away the herbs. It took a bit of time. He glanced up at her curiously at the mention of a water vail. The minute she began to pull up her dress, his head was whipped away his face looking up at the ceiling away from her form revealed. The slight flush of color in his cheeks revealed he was a man of true honor. Despite his gaze elsewhere, his hands continued to work to grind the materials together. The moment the vail was before him, only then did Kartik look back and nod, taking the container from her, allowing her to work.

Hearing her words, he smiled. "Such caring words." That smile was quick to become a grimace though seeing the boy lose whatever may have been in his stomach, feeling sick to his own. Her words however caused a smirk to cross his face. "It's all in the eye of the beholder. Many would disagree with that statement made. However a traveler, you could say about me now. May I ask what you would call yourself?"

She did not flich as what ever use to be occupying the boy stomach was now on the bottom of her dress. She smirked at his words. "Carrying my foot...If I did not do this then they would have killed me long ago." she said mater of factly. She then held her hand out for the vail, "He can keep it down now...please open the vail and pass it to me....if your stomach can not stay down please then move to the other end of the house...I fight now can not take care of you as well." she said and though about what he asked.

"I have no title...unless you want the title the village gives me." she said with a bit of a laugh in her tones.

Kartik poured the mixed powder in the vail and returned it to her hand. "I do not understand this town one bit." A pained, sorrowful tone was in his voice for a change. He looked back at her and shook his head. "I can hold steady..." slowly he said that before giving a nod that he was certain. He smiled at her. "I do not care for what others think as much as I care for what you think of yourself, because I do not know anyone who would know you better."

Jherikoda sighed, "When you live here the town's thoughts are the most important factor." She lifted the boy gently in her arms as she force some of the mix down his throat and after two sips and a few minute his breath came back to an even pattern. She cleaned up the blood and the boy's vomit before she stood. "We can leave now Kartik...and get your fish..."

She looked at him and then moved to the door moving the chair, "Your good with dealing with people?" she asked with an almost smirk to her lips before she walked out. She handed the vail and some herbs giving the mother some information with how to treat the boy.

The woman thanked Jherikoda but then she looked at Kartik and smiled, "Please sir you are welcome to stay here the night for your help in treating my son."

Kartik looked at the bovine with a slightly concerned look. Had this female just resigned herself to this being normal behavior? He grew worried for her mental well-being. Quietly to himself he plotted something as he watched her clean up. Hearing her words he smiled to her.

He blinked at her words, not truly understanding what she meant. However the kitsune had no time to answer as they were outside among the family. Hearing the woman's offer, he smiled warmly to the mother and took her hand into. "Thank you very much for your kindness ma'am. However I did nothing to warrant your kindness. Please, show any kindness you would to me, to Miss Jherikoda as she is the one who did everything for your boy. Please, have a good evening." He patted her hand and moved away from the woman, dropping her hand from his own.

The kitsune moved to walk beside the female he was growing to know. He smiled warmly, "So would you please show me this lake now? I could really do with some fishing by this point."

Jherikoda nods, "I will take you to the lake and let you fish wail I go and buy some new herbs to replace the once I jut used...And they will pay me in their own way...either in food the next time they see me or in some other article of payment." She ran a hand over her sleeves to smooth them out as she guided the kitsune threw the town.

After a small bit in silence she glanced at him, "Why did you not wish to stay with the family. They would have much rather repay me but letting my 'friend' stay with them then having to come by my place." she said turning her eyes forward again as they came upon a dusty rode leading out of the town. "After all people don't like going to the local witch's house. It will only be about ten minutes more..."

"Thank you for showing me around this place." Kartik smiled gently to her and turned his gaze to the road ahead of him as she spoke of the future in payments. "That is good. I would hate to see you go through so much trouble without any sort of reward. Especially with how much you spent on those herbs." He allowed the silence to fall as his gaze glistened over with the thoughts of his plans coming together and how it would go. Hearing her question he look back at her and shook his head. "I may be new to this land, but I like to think of myself as being a good judge of people. I do not like to stay long in the company of bad people." He looked ahead. "Do you think yourself a witch?"

Jherikoda shrugged, "I do not view myself as anything really. I live alone, I spend most of my time alone, I don't really care what others think. So there is really no need to form an opinion on myself." She did find herself not minding the foreigner's company he didn't seem to talk too much nor did he seem so quick to judge. "I am sure you will not be long in this land..." she said and then looked up at the sky, "You should have a few hours of fishing before the rain hits." She said as she turned off the road to a slightly worn trail and stopped, "Five minutes on this trail and you will make it to the lake. Now I need to return and get the rest of my supplies." she said and gave a bow of her head. Her cold red eyes looking into his duel colored ones, before she turned back to the road.

If Kartik carried onto the lake he would come across a beautiful haunting lake. It was wide and oddly shaped with tall grass leading almost all the way up to the shore line. A few boulders were scattered around the lake in the grass as if they had fallen into a sea of grass and drowned. In the far end of the lake one enormous boulder sat like a island. The lake had a romantic yet sorrowful feel to it. Almost as if one could loose their self in here but not miss it. To the right of the lake and up on a small hill partly covered by dead or slow to blossom tree a stone towner could be seen half hidden by the trees.

His eyes looked at the bovine female with sorrow in them. "I'm sorry to hear you have so much alone time." He himself didn't care for being alone for long periods of time. It was it gave Kartik time to remember what it was he should be doing. The kitsune looked away from Jherikoda as he did not respond to her comment about how long he would be here. He moved onto the trail she had mentioned and looked back at her. "Have a safe travel."

The kitsune made his way along the trail and gasped at its sight. He was a man who enjoyed the area around him. His eyes looked this way and that. In a way he was grateful THIS TIME to be alone. He had no fishing rod with him. So this would be the hard way to approach the method. He undid the white belt and removed his outer most garments. He set them down in order, leaving him standing in his pure white under robes. He took off the shirt and rolled the bottom of the pants up before getting into the water.

Tails flicked behind him as he walked in up to his knees. He stood legs apart and leaning over with his hands in the water, claws open. And this is how Kartik remained for a good while until the local fish grew comfortable between the manual cage. He would snatch one up, and walk back to land with it to leave it near his clothing before entering at a different end and doing the same. It would be a long process but he wanted to make sure to catch at least three fish so that Jherikoda could have some too. He just prayed she didn't come back beforehand. It was embarrassing for him to be stripped down this far in his robes in a strange land. But hey, kitsunes had to eat!

Jherikoda paused when the kitsune wished her a safe trip. Just the thought of someone wishing her well was very strange to her. She nods, "Best of luck with the fish." she said and walked back to the town.

As she made her way back to the village she was slightly bothered by the fact that Kartik continued to keep coming up in her mind. She sighed and ran a hand a hand over her other arm. She hurried to buy what she needed. It must be because he was from a different land and he could give her a lot of new information. After she gathered up what she needed she made her way back.

At first she didn't anything coming from the water and she wondered what happen to him and then she spied from the grass him standing in the water. the white pants of his robe clinging to this strong legs. As she moved closer she could see that he had already caught two fish.

Kartik had his bum in the air, tails whipping by the time she had come back and he had no noticed. He had his eyes closed and appeared serene, despite the strange position he was in. However, his hands under the water quickly moved and his eyes opened as he smiled. "Gotcha!" He raised his hands above to reveal the fish wiggling between his arms. "Sorry, fish, but I promise you will not have died in vain." His smile disappeared and a very sad look entered his face as his claws dug into the fish, killing it.

He made his way back towards his clothing. Three fish to make due shouldn't it? He was a lean muscular build and his torso was immaculate; a true testimony to his fighting skills. He set down the fish and shoot a bit, sending water droplets out of his hair, and out of his tails. Without the smell of the water and fish in his nose, he now sniffed at the air and froze. Eyes grew wide for just a moment before he regained composure. He smelled the scent of someone familiar. As fast as he could, he grabbed his clothing from the ground and walked in a hurried fashion in the opposite direction of the scent, dashing behind the tree.

Oh man! Someone saw him! He knew the scent but with everyone who had been in town, which one was it? Ugh, no matter the damage was done. Sighing, ears drooping, he quickly redressed and came back to where he set down the fish, picking them up. "You shouldn't sneak up on a kitsune, you know." He smirked. "Its bad luck." He was calling out to the direction he thought he smelled someone.

Jherikoda watched the male in his strange fishing display. He seemed to show great remorse with having to kill the fish. She was actually standing fairly close to his little site and was a bit surprised that he did not see her at first. Her red eyes scanned over his flawless tight form. He was clearly a warrior with that tone and definition but it seemed that he had not lost a battle before. This male did seem to have a lot of secrets within him. What was it about him that was bothering her. It must be because he was like no other male she knew.

His sudden jumping up and running for cover again surprised her. It seemed this male had a shy side, "It's too late Kartik I have already seen it all...and what worse luck could you bring to my life?" She asked, "Here if one can sneak up on a fox it proves your more cunning. You might want to hurry....the rain will start soon."

She watched him come back redress but in an unorganized manner. "Do you wish to sleep out side this night...if you do I can take you to a slightly covered area where you will stay dry if not warm...or if you wish you are welcome to stay in my tower..."
