Sofi yelped as everything seemed to happen all at once. Mii running forward and grabbing Kicky, Naked Guy coming to the doorway, the atmosphere going from PERFECTLY FINE to something ripped straight out of COPS...

She wanted to shout that he wasn't naked NOW. Or that she didn't mean it as a bad thing or--

Instead, with the Naked guy standing in the doorway, mostly hidden by Mii and Kicky, and things moving all too quickly, Sofi could only stand some distance back, a sheepish smile on her face.

"Oh, um. Hey, naked guy!"

As Kiku yelps and jolts, so too does Hitsuga, confusion and terror deadlocked with one another, not sure which wanted to come forefront first in the face of the very defensive female now staring him down as if he is some sort of insect.

.....he has, very clearly, missed something.

P--Perhaps Madame can explain, he tentatively projects to Omi, having to make a forcible effort to keep his breathing controlled while being drilled by her gaze, what has happened? Why is his house not safe for the young lady...?

Omi kept her gaze locked on Hitsuga. "I refuse to let her stay here," she said simply. After losing Levi, Omi's maternal hormones were in overdrive, with no outlet whatsoever... unfortunately, they had chosen what was likely the worst misunderstanding known to man, to come out in full force. "I don't know what is going on in this house, but I will not stand here and listen to a child who is barely old enough to know what is going on, talk about staying in a house with someone she calls 'Master' and shares his bed."

She spoke aloud for Sofi's sake, but called out to the girl mentally.

Kiku was coming! She had to crawl up to get her things. They had rolled to the back of the dresser and she just wasn't tall enough. It wasn't much... a few items that she had picked up while shopping before she'd come here, and a jewellery set that her mother had given her that she'd removed after inadvertently poking herself with the earrings after going to sleep.

The girl darted back out, looking to Hitsuga and the expression on his face... was he all right?

"Maybe it's a big bed?" Sofi offered helpfully. "A really really BIG bed? There's nothing wrong with that, right?" Really, she could sort of see where Mii was going with this. She thought? Okay, she couldn't see it at all.

It was really too much for her innocent mind to comprehend.

"And Juicy Fruit and I have to call people 'Master' and 'Mistress' all the time on maid night! And Juicy Fruit does it ALL THE TIME. I think that's supposed to be his charm point."

To say Hitsuga is offended, by the time he's sifted through the white haze of shock enough to collect his wits, is an understatement. He is affronted.

He has stood in the face of accusation many times about things -- some he has felt he is deserving of and some of it not so much. He is also not a stranger to people he does not know chiming in on said accusations.

But this. This. THIS....is NOT something he will take blame for!!

One does not need to be an empath to understand his current mood as the waves of outrage and hurt are near-tangible. The delicate hand on the doorway grips it tightly until his fingertips tremble and his breath comes rapidly.

A projection, angry, perhaps backed with far more aggravation stemming from other sources than this situation was really deserving of, pinpricks itself directly to Nozomi's mind, shared with no one else. One that tells her Nozomi does NOT know what she's talking about, that he will NOT be accused of such a thing, and that she is NOT to return here. stressed

Even after its been said, reflexive waves of remorse and regret trickle in. Begging him to tell her he didn't mean it. Wanting to smooth all of this over like the giant misunderstanding it is. Wanting to bring Nozomi, Sofi, and Kikushou inside where all could be explained.

But just as much, his nerves are ragged from the last few days, with only the brief snatches of sleep he's had between them to soothe him, and he has had ENOUGH.

With a brief, tightly-wound apology given privately to Kikushou and a curt nod to Sofi, he retreats back into the house, not quite slamming the door but closing it firmly enough behind him.

His breath is not just wheezing but screaming in and out of his lungs as his hands fumble with the latch through the shimmer of panicked tears in his eyes.

He needs to be alone for awhile. Badly.

Omi turned, swatting at Sofi's hand as she glared at the door that had closed behind them. "It most certainly is NOT," she stated. That guy could say what he wanted, she'd heard enough. "I'm taking her home, she can get settled and I'll explain this all to Setsushi and Rika when I come back with her later. I'm not taking her away for good."

Kikushou was scared, but the woman she was with didn't mean any harm. She'd know it if she did, but she'd offended Master Hitsuga... she turned then, looking back towards the house as apology projected towards the closed door. She was so sorry and she would make SURE Lady Omi knew what was going on and she would be back... please take care of yourself, Master Hitsuga?

"Tough." Omi didn't care at this point, her only concern was the little girl still holding to her hand. She was worried, scared and just plain NOT taking the chance. She might have been wrong, and if she was, she'd apologize later. But she'd seen too many instances of kids that no one had bothered to intervene with and horrible things had happened.

Omi nodded, waving to Sofi tiredly. "If they get back before I do, can you tell them what happened please? Kiku's coming with me, she'll be safe there and I'll bring her back as soon as I can."

Kiku turned and waved to Sofi then, hoping she'd be well. She was so frazzled by these events that she didn't even think about the fact that Sofi couldn't hear her.
