Discard smiles and shook her head blushing as she looked over the way he was laying and thought about how nicely she could curl up in his legs. "Well it is not that much in way of repaying after all you stitched me and made me a pretty crown. I should be able to do something for you..." she said softly and then looking down she moved to snuggle up next to him.

"Just having someone nearby means more than you know." Sandpiper had spent a good deal of his life by himself, with the exception of the occasional friend dropping by or someone looking for help with stitch work. It was never a big deal, provided he got company once and a while.
Though, with Discard the feelings seemed to be slowly turning into something different. He twisted a little to rest his head against her hips comfortably, nuzzling her. "There is no repayment that I would like more than that."

She blushed a bit as she felt him resting his head along her hip and nuzzling. She felt a strange warmth move threw her and it brought a bright smiled to her lips stretching her stitching. She blushed a bit and tried to stop her smiling at his words before she broke a stitch. "I am sorry if you are often alone....I find it hard to believe that one like you San would be alone more of the time than not...." she said softly shifting to nuzzle into the inner curve of his knee and hip. "I don't think I want to be with out you now." she said softly blushing deeply as she realized she said it out loud. "I...I am sorry San." she blushed and moved to wriggled away from him.

"No..no need to be sorry." Sandpiper smiled and reached out to tug her back toward him gently. "No one has ever told me anything like that before." He mewed softly and cuddled closer to her. "It's nice to know that someone wants me around. Really." The brown and white male purred, nuzzling against her again.

Discard blushed and chewed the inside of her lip softly. "I...I am sorry. And yes...I do want you..." she buried her head into his side, "I mean I....um I want you around. Your are the nicest person I have ever met." she love listening to his purrs and feeling them against her. She nuzzled in a bit closer to him with her upper body pushing against his lower half. "You are so very wonderful San. I am so very glad you are my friend...I feel so much braver with you."

Sandpiper chuckled. "I know what you mean." He lifted a paw and slid it over her again. "Your very wonderful too. I haven't smiled this much in a long time." The brown and white male chuckled and licked her fur gently.

Discard blushed a bit and smiled she had to admit that she rather enjoyed feeling his lick to her. She purred louder against him, her rag tag fur raising up a bit at the feeling. She giggled and then smiled turning as best as she could she tried to pounce on him. She had never played before but she felt like she could be herself with him. This brown and white male was a real god send.

Sandpiper squeaked when she pounced on him. "Playful, hn?" He chuckled again and flipped so he was belly up underneath her. "Two can play at this game." He sat up sharply, pushing her onto her back gently before leaning down to nuzzle against her muzzle. "Rawr!" He chuckled, ruining his own attempt to be fierce. This was quite fun, he hadn't played this much since he was small.

Discard could not help but to laugh as he pounced her back and 'growled' at her. She smiled at him and nuzzled his muzzle back before she wriggled against him and slipped between his paws to get to her feet and ducked down her but and her tail up in the air. "Grrr" she said softly and then giggled now out in the sunlight the flower crown still around her head. She could not believe that she was actually getting to play.

Sandpiper meowed and headed out after her. "Definitely more space out here!" He grinned, his wings fluttering a bit to shake the dust off from their tumble. "Hn...want to play a game, hide and seek maybe?"

This made the patch work female sit up straight. "Um...well yes could...should I be it or you?" She had heard of hide and seek though she had never herself done it before. She smiled at him her bright blue eyes trusting and smiling at him. There was more space out her and though she really would rather be snuggling with him playing could be fun too.

"Uhm, how about you hide first and I'll find you." Sandpiper smiled and folded his wings against his back again. "Then you can find me...and maybe another round or two after that before we take a break?" He was looking forward to being close to her again, he just didn't want to appear pushy at all. The brown and white male was one to let things happen in there own time and there own pace.

Discard nods, "Okay I think we can do that...um...cover your eyes and I will go hide." she said smiling sweetly at him. her three legs bracing ready to get up and run to find a place to hide. Sandpiper was a great friend. She was truly lucky to have found him....well more like she was luck he found her.

"Alright." Sandpiper lifted a foreleg and used it to cover his eyes, closing afterward. "I'll count to fifty before I come and find you, think that will work?" His tail wrapped around his feet and his wings flared out a little, curling around him just enough to assure her he wasn't looking.

Discard laughed warmly a rare sound for her though it seemed to be happening more and more with him. She nods, "Yes...that will be just fine." She smiled seeing him cover and then she took off to find herself a nice hiding spot. About half way in his counting she found hollow log and wriggled into it.
