" I'd be delighted too cook with you! As for not being adept, some of my best recipies came from mistakes. Like this lemonade. I was meaning to make a cherry coke, I had the cherries and grenadine in the glass, but instead of grabing the coke, I grabbed a can of lemonade instead..." Nastara blushed a bit.
"And if it wouldn't be too forward, would you and Aria like company? I'm sure Jaspar would love the chance to play with someone. If you'd give me about 45 miniutes I could even pack us a picnic lunch and have Emerald give us all a ride."

Asher's eyes lit up and flashed an even deeper green. "That would be absolutely wonderful! I'm sure Aria would enjoy that. Shall I come bring her here then in a bit so we can leave? You don't have to go if you don't want to, of course. Should probably make sure Jasper is okay with it, too..." He was extremely happy but also quite nervous, never having gone anywhere with a female and kits at the same time. He hoped she wouldn't mind how playful he tends to get if the kits are energetic as he was really enjoying her company even more than he had imagined possible.

Nastara was momentarily taken aback by the brilliant green of his eyes as she gasped slightly and flashed Asher another grin. " I'd love a chance to get out of the house, and I know that Jasper could use a playmate, he's been a destructive tornado in the form of a kit for the past few days! The weather is just perfect and a picnic sounds lovely."
She flushed a bit and ducked her head hiding behind her hair for a moment.
"I'd be glad to pack a lunch- do you or Aria have any preferances for sandwich types?"

He smiled when she referred to the kit as a tornado, pleased that she wants to go with him to the park. Thinking for a moment on the sandwich question, he replied, "I'll eat just about anything that tastes good, so what from I've seen anything you make I'll eat.... Aria, on the other hand, rather dislikes meat most of the time. The only meats she'll eat are turkey and chicken. I'll go and bring her over here... any types of toys I should bring?" He blushed slightly before hastily adding, "Such as a ball or a frisbee, I mean? And I can bring a blanket as well."

Her cheeks were already pinked and deepend to red as he spoke. " Sure, whatever outdoor toy's you'd like to bring I'm sure the kits would appreciate. I belive that I'll bring some bubbles, they're one of my childish indulgences I'm afraid. The blanket would be welcome, and I'll handle the lunch, I'm fairly sure I can make something Aria would like. I have a fondness for pettite cucmber sandwiches or egg salad sandwiches, perhaps she would enjoy them as well. So..." Nastara trailed off for a moment thinking. "....you could either come back in about an hour, or if you'd prefer to leave your address with me, Emerald could drive us over to pick you up."

Asher nodded once and replied, "Sure, I'll bring the blanket and some outdoor toys. And I don't want to rush you or Emerald, so if she could drive to pick Aria and I up? My address is on back of the envelope that I placed at your door... It's not too hard to find, just down the road a bit, actually. So, umm... I'll see you soon?" He smiled slightly at her, embarrassed by his words and hoping he didn't offend Nastara.

"Oh, yes, the note. I'm sorry, I got a bit distracted and forgot about that...." SHe hid behind her hair once more as she got up. " We should be over to pick you up in about an hour, thank you for letting us accompany you and Aria, and it was quite pleasent to have you over today." WHile she spoke she slowly made her way to the door and opened it, stepping outside for a moment to retrieve the note.

He beamed at her and said, "No, thank you for accompanying {{man that's a weird word to say}} us! And another thank you for having me over, I had a great time." He smiled and followed her to the door, kissing her paw as he left and did all he could to keep from running and prancing home.
He started to wonder what blanket to bring, which toys, and if Aria would be happy; he also started to hope he doesn't screw up his wording again... he needed to start thinking more before he spoke, no matter how scattered his brain got when he was around the purple illumen.

Nastara forced herself to stay calm an quietly shut the door before she carefully opened the letter. Reading his words she smiled again and allowed herself a girly little sigh.
Running upstairs to her room she pulled out her special box and opened the lid. It was half full of pictures, pressed flowers, bits of ribbons, and other such momento's. Turning to her desk she hurriedly coppied down Asher's address then slipped his letter into the box.
Next she dashed off to find Emerald, and breathlessly explained what was going on, asked for permission and a ride. Smilling and trying to stiffle her giggles at seeing her prissy little Illumen so flustered Emerald agreed quickly to the plan.
Checking things off her mental list Nastara headed to the kitchen, trying to pull her mind away from how Asher's smile lit up his face, how warm his kisses felt, and the way he looked at her.

Asher did a mad dash around the yard, picking up random toys that were strewn in the lawn, not wanting Nastara to see the house this out of order when it normally isn't. Once the outside was acceptable, he ran into the house and almost crashed into Aria, who had been watching him curiously out the glass on the front door. He took a deep breath so he wouldn't rush his words before he explained to her where he was and asked her if she would mind if Nastara and Jasper joined them at the park. She readily agreed and followed him happily around the house as he picked up a frisbee, a ball, and a fairly large blanket. He almost picked out some flowers from the garden, but then he remembered it wasn't technically a date and he didn't want any odd reactions in front of Aria or Jasper...
He went over the things he had grabbed and exchanged the frisbee for one that wasn't cracked and folded up the blanket more nicely before placing it all in a bag he could easily carry. He made sure there was nothing else Aria wanted to bring, and he settled down in a chair swing on the front porch with Aria, scanning the yard for any missed toys and waiting patiently yet excitedly for Emerald to drive up.

Moving quickly now, clearly in her element Nastara gathered up the ingredients for several types of sandwiches, having decided to pack the fixings rather than premaking them so they could be made to everyone's liking. She packed chicken, turkey, ham, and tuna. She put three types of chips and some goldfish crackers into baggies. She sliced up some cheddar and pepper jack cheeses, along with some veggies: tomatoes, onions, lettuce, pepperonici's, olives, and just about everything she could think of. Carefully she arranged them into saran-wrapped dishes. Then she dug in the closet for the picnic basket and her summer pitcher which she filled with lemonade and set some apple juice and fruit punch boxes to the side for good measure.
With the skill of a tetras champion she packed the basket to within an inch of its life, and dragged it to wait beside the front door.
Dashing up the stairs again she checked to see that Jasper was awake from his nap and found him curled up in Emerald's lap smiling getting his fur brushed. Sinking to the floor she smiled at Emerald. " Ok, I think I'm ready now. Oh no, wait, I forgot the cookies!!!" Running as though someone's life was on the line she slid into the kitchen grabbed the cookies, and the stared at the basket wondering where to fit them in. Just then Emerald came down the stares, took the cookies from her and squeezed them gently down the side of the basket. " We'd better get going Nastara " Emerald said as she gathered up the basket and Jasper and headed the the car, Nastara trailing in her wake trying not to panic.
Miniutes later they pulled up in front of Fae's house, Jasper pressing his nose to the glass talking a mile a miniute as he had the whole ride, clearly eager to play

Because Asher had been staring at the yard and everything but the road, Aria was the first to see the car pull up. She grinned widely and jumped up and down, causing Asher to snap out of his daze and quickly get on his feet, hustling down the drive to the car, blanket, toys, and Aria in tow.
He smiled shakily has he said, "Thank you for picking us up!" He nodded at Em and smiled a little more confidently at Nastara. He asked, "So we're all ready to go?" before grinning at Jasper. "Where should we sit?" He was afraid of sitting in the wrong seat and was unsure of where he should put his things.

Emerald returned his smile and popped open the back hatch of the Van. "Go ahead and put your things in the trunk." Looking over at Nastara Em realized that she was lost for a moment at seeing her dazed smile as she looked at Asher. " Um Jasper, Aria why don't you two hop in the very back, and let Asher and Nastara sit in the middle. Then it will be like your in a limo and I'm your chauffer!" With a grin she got out and held the door open for the kits.

Blinking, Asher smiled and nodded again at Em after comprehending what she said. He quickly placed the things in the trunk and stepped over to take the door from her. "No need for you to hold it open!" he exclaimed as he bowed slightly and opened up Em's own door for her while motioning Aria into the back seat.

Emerald smiled in surprise as Asher took the door and bowed. " Why thank you Asher!" As she slipped into the car she turned back to Nastara and mouthed the words " He's a gentleman!" to which Nastara could only blush as she slid over to make room for Asher beside her.
From the backseat Jasper called out "Are we there yet?"
