She gave a nod, listening. Mannah wasn't one to judge anyone and it was clear he wanted to attempt to change things, so there was really no point in acting shocked or surprised.
"Whatever you did to make you choose to return, I hope your move was an easy one. Moving from your old home is often difficult when you've got children and many things acquired over the years. Thankfully, I've never had any children to worry about so far as I am without a mate."

Cheveyo looked genuinely surprised by this, "No mate, really?" he raised his eyebrows, then chuckled, "I guess teaching kids must keep you busy." He sighed, still smiling, seeming a little tense all of a sudden, "Yeah, its just me and the kids now, I am...technically without a mate. I haven't seen her in a long time." He said it in a monotone voice, suggesting that that was as much as he was going to say on the subject. "You're lucky to be at that point where you only have to worry about yourself," the smile was back in full, "But I wouldn't want that stage of my life back after having children, to be honest."
