...okay, so apparently he was supposed to bust in and rescue her. How either half of that proposition was actually going to work, he had no idea. And if this really was just a dream? Well, better safe and embarrassed than sorry.
"I...guess I should wake up and do that, then," he decided finally. "Is there anything else I should know?" Besides 'lots and lots of guards.' That sounded like a problem.

Seung shook her head slowly, trying to think of anything terribly vital. "Just that the palace is really big. Would make you a map, but it'd be gone when you woke up. Gonna try to talk to other Fa'e, but don't know if I can."
She pushed at his arm to try to make him go, not sure how to wake someone up from inside a dream. "Only a week before the wedding, so we gotta hurry."

Mik nodded, still rather calm on account of the fact that he was dreaming, although he was pretty sure it wasn't just a dream. Once he was back to his normal waking self, calm was just about the last thing he'd be.
Anyway. Really big palace with lots of guards, and they only had a week - not that he had any intentions of waiting around at all once he woke up...however he was supposed to do that, and assuming he remembered this at all. Despite feeling a little stupid doing it, he tried pinching himself.

Apparently pinching yourself in a dream to wake up really does work. Seung assumed so at least, as she woke up herself just after Mik pinched himself. After all, she couldn't stay in his dream if he was awake.
It was still the middle of the night though and Mik wasn't the only Fa'e she could try to reach in dreams. Feeling relieved that this was actually working, Seung fell asleep trying to repeat the process with another friend.
