"I don't get how you did that without some incantation or spell or something," Dane said watching interestedly and intently, "Are you sure that I don't need something more than just concentration?" He asked a little uncertain.
Though anxious to give it a shot Dane knelt down to the water and gazed at it deeply and concentrated, he was still not entirely sure how this all worked. However he threw doubt to the wind and steeped his fingers into the water and began to swirl them waiting for some sort of indication that he was doing it correctly, if the water would do as he asked it. He concentrated on only the water, trying perhaps a little too hard. Though his total and utter devotion to the water element was if nothing else admirable.

"Yep, trust me. Don't over think it, boy. Just do as I show you," Enzo said patiently as he watched the spawn curiously. He smiled a little bit, "When you bind yourself to an element you lack the need to use incantation. Now if you came back later and wanted to bind yourself to a secondary element, you might need some incantations to perform a few different feats, but right now let's just concentrate on yours."
He watched Dane quietly for a long moment, "Don't over think it and don't force it. Just let the magic come to you," The orange haired man said quietly with an encouraging tone. When you feel your whole hand tingle that means the magic is ready to do as you please, be sure to pull up the water slowly or else it won't have time to form the cone shape and it'll just splash back into the water," Enzo said quietly, "and you'll have to start over."

Dane cringed, don't focus so hard hmm?...Dane closed his eyes and took in a breath and went to that place in his mind that he does when he swims. The felt lucid and loose, like water. Dane felt his hand begin to tingle, when his hand tingled his opened his eyes slightly and began to lift his hand out of the water, the cone forming underneath his hand as it left the pool. Dane didn't let the accomplishment get to him. He kept his wits about him and brought the cone out, slowly moving it about. He wasn't able to do all those fancy tricks Mr B did, but he kept it in its form which seemed to be good enough for him.

He nodded a bit, "That is most excellent. In time you can get it to do more, but for now you just need to practice it," Enzo said thoughtfully as he began to stand up. "I think we accomplished a lot here, today. What do you think, Dane?" He asked as he stretched his limbs. It wasn't that he was anxious to get rid of his pupil but he didn't want to keep them longer than need be. Most young'ns Dane's age had better things to do than to hang out with an ex-priest and poking around at water all day while learning magic.

"Oh, that's it?" Dane asked once his teacher spoke his concentration was broken and the water spilled all over the floor. He frowned at the puddle.
"I guess so," Dane said, he had honestly thought the class would last longer. Though he was anxious to go home and keep practicing this. It was something that had his attention fully.

Enzo chuckled at the boy's reaction to the sudden ending of the lesson. The man made a small hand gesture and the puddle of water shifted and then began to move back to the pool of conjured water where it belonged as if pushed along by the wind. The man looked as if he was in his element as he did this, truly happy.
When he looked at Dane, he nodded, "You can always come back for a new lesson when you are ready to learn more, Dane. You are welcome to my class any time." The teacher said kindly with a small smile. "You were a delight to teach," he praised honestly. The man was not the type to fling flattery.
"For now I think you have enough on your plate trying to maintain the cone, and that is more than enough for you to work with. I hope to see you again and witness your progress."

"Well alright," Dane said standing up, "Thanks, it was a really...fun class," Dane admitted. He wasn't expecting a class to be enjoyable. But this one brought him closer to his element, literally speaking, so he was more enamored by the end than he had thought.
"Believe me, I'm going to practice until I can do this cone thing in my sleep," Dane said with a grin. He always liked a challenge, "So is that it then?"

He nodded a bit, "That is it until the next time we speak, next time I expect you to do it in your sleep. I wish to see that," The man grinned at his student as he reached forward and patted the younger spawn upon the shoulder in a companionable way. It wasn't certain if the man was being serious or not, most likely not.
"Good day and safe travels for now, Dane." Enzo said cheerfully.

"Have a good day to you too Mr. B," Dane said with a grin, "And thanks," Dane said as he headed out the door. He was thrilled that this class had been able to teach him more about the water. He would master this cone quickly, so that he could come and learn something new soon.
