"Thats better than your sister." Touda informed Zemel. "She's not only blind but deaf as a post, apparently." It was not the kindest thing to say, of course, but Touda tended to be rather blunt in his observations.
Anise ignored Touda's response. She liked Ginger and so what if the other girl couldn't see him? It didn't matter, Touda wasn't so special, after all. "Oh! Look!" She exclaimed with excitement. "Issat it?" The little girl had glimpsed the short gates and the fluffy sheeps and goats milling around behind it.
From behind them all, Charlie strolled unconcerned. He kept Anise and Touda in his eyesight and let the little twins do all of the hard babysitting work. In fact, it was a situation that worked out just perfectly for him.

Zemel frowned slightly. "Thanks. But she's not blind." he said, though he didn't deny the deaf part. Sometimes, he wondered about his sister's hearing. He wasn't sure if that first part was a compliment or not, so he decided to treat it as on just in case.
Ginger giggled at the little girl's enthusiasm. She looked forward, confirming it with a short nod. "Yeah, that's it! C'mon, let's go say hi to the sheeps and bunnies!" She took a few jogging steps forward, almost forgetting she had a hold of the girl's hand.
Neither of the twins seemed to notice the man following behind them. Or, if they had, they didn't show it.

The toddler managed to keep up with the older girl and once they were through the gate she immediately dropped to her knees and attempted to cuddle a rabbit. Unfortunately, said rabbit did not seem to want to be cuddled and tried to hop away. "It looks like Touda." The little girl observed.
"It does not look like me." Touda informed the world at large, though only Anise and Zemel would be able to hear him. "I am much handsomer." He added, puffing out his chest a bit.

Ginger grinned, kneeling down and petting one of the sheep. "So Touda looks like a rabbit?" she asked, curious about the girl's imaginary (or not so imaginary) friend. She looked at the sheep again; it felt nothing like the wool sweaters she's seen at home.
Zemel chuckled slightly. "And humble too, I see." he said, his tone joking. He leaned against the fence, glancing around at the animals and edging away from a rather mean-looking goat.

"Kind of like a rabbit." Anise agreed. "Kind of like a cat or a fox, too. He has a long white tail and long ears and orange eyes." She added, settling for patting a sheep on the side. The placid animal didn't seem to mind the girl's attention.
"It's not a bad thing to know you're better looking than a rabbit." Touda remarked to Zemel. "I happen to be far better looking than a mere rabbit. It's too bad you can't see me, then you'd know."

"Sounds absolutely adorable." Ginger said, giggling lightly. Sounded like Touda was, like, all of the cutest animals combined. That was totally awesome! She eyed one of the rabbits, wondering if she'd be fast enough to catch one.
"I didn't say it was a bad thing, it's just....never mind." Zemel said, sighing as he let it drop. "I'm sure you're much better than a rabbit. You sound a lot cooler than one." He said, nodding. That made up for him not being able to see the little bugger, right?

Touda preened, unseen on Zemel's shoulder. "I sure am." He enthused. "You're cool too." He added generously.
"Adorable? Touda?" Anise had to think about that for a moment. "I guess so." She finally said grudgingly. She preferred to be the most adorable one of the pair. Then again, since Touda wasn't human it wasn't like he was direct competition. But still.

Zemel smiled lightly. "Thanks." he said, nodding his head once. Of course he was cool; he was going to be a chef, and to be a chef, you had to be cool. "So...why can't we see you?" he asked, curious.
Ginger was about to say something when one of the goats head-butted her in the back, sending her flailing to catch her balance. She frowned at the animal, and if looks could kill, the goat would have been belly-up. She sighed, then smiled back to the little girl. "So, how do you like the petting zoo?" she asked, giggling once.

"You can't see him unless you have 'spirit sight' or something." Charlie said smoothly, stepping into the petting zoo and smiling cooly at the twins before turning his gaze to Anise and Touda.
Anise frowned at her guardian, her face screwing up into what could easily become a pout or a full-on tantrum. "I like the petting zoo." She told Ginger. "You aren't going to make us leave, are you?" She then asked Charlie.
"It's about that time, yes." The guardian replied with an amused quirk of the eyebrow.
"Aww... man!" Touda grumbled, not leaving Zemel's shoulder.

Zemel blinked, looking to the adult. He just nodded, returning the smile nervously. Someone was still pretty nervous around new, unfamiliar adults, apparently.
Ginger looked up at the adult, offering a smile. "You're Anise's dad?" she asked, making the connection. She continued on, not giving him a chance to answer. "It's nice to meet you!" She then frowned slightly; aww, her new little friend had to leave? She managed a small smiled, looking to Anise. "Maybe we can play again sometime." she suggested, grinning.

"Yep, I'm Anise's dad." Though neither Charlie or Robbie really considered themselves "dads" at this point, it was easier to take the title and run. "And I'm sure you can play again later."
Anise frowned at Charlie. "Dun wanna go." But she was swept off her feet and into his arms without a choice. The little girl waved at Ginger. "Thanks for showing me the petting zoo!" She shouted to her new friend.
Touda, for his part, grumbled. "See ya around." He muttered to Zemel, his tail drooping a little as he leapt from the boy's shoulder to Charlie's.

Ginger brightened at the thought of seeing the younger girl again. "You're welcome." She said, waving back to her friend. "Bye-bye, Anise!" She was still a bit sad to see the other go, but she understood that they had to leave.
Zemel waved, smiling a small bit. "See ya, Touda." he said, sad to see....well, sad for his little friend to go.

Touda shouted goodbyes while Anise waved from over Charlie's shoulder. It took only moments, just as soon as the three had rounded the corner, for Touda and Anise to start bickering again.
