Chase seemed to shrug casually as if it were a rather easy decision in his mind. "That's exactly it..." he said with as sigh. "They're all so willing, so greedy and selfish in their love making. I like finding a kicked puppy like Raquel. She's very...giving in bed. Though you wouldn't know that..." He smirked, a dreamy look in his eyes as he recalled the numerous times they slept together. "She was always an attractive woman, though when she wanted a relationship...I grew bored. Where's the excitement of sleeping with a woman who belongs to you completely legally? It's monotonous and there is absolutely no thrill. I'm sure you'd agree there..." He examined his nails as he gave Damian a sharp smile. "But she suddenly became desirable again. She was no longer mine, so it was a challenge. A glorious one at that. I love that scared little face she has when you're about to really nail her." It wasn't clear what was scarier, his malicious and unrepentant demeanor, or his almost gleeful tone describing the torture of the woman he attacked.

"Shut UP!" All chatter in the cells hushed at Damian's outcry, with all eyes pressing through the bars at him. His breathing was becoming as ragged as his thoughts. How could a man become so sick in his wants? Of course he knew about willing women, but he was never such a hunter as Chase was. Dishonorable as his actions had been, there was still an ironic bit of morality in his practices.
"I can understand the thrill of a challenge, of seducing a woman who you want, but I never conquered, I never raped!" The very word was spit out like acid towards Chase. "I love her, and now have to heal the damage you've done! How could you have done that to her, after all she's been through, after all of the abuse and torment she has suffered? How could you add to it and still call her your bibelot?"

"Because she's not human." He replied calmly, as if explaining this to a small child. He waited a moment before continuing. "She's part Amarathien isn't she?" He added, pulling out his pocket watch that seemed to be broken, most likely from Damian's blows. "I learned this very early on in our 'engagements'. I've met many Amarathien's all my life, through my father's work. They're emotionless bastards you know. They can only fake human emotions that they learn over the years of their lifespans. Raquel possesses many of their qualities. She doesn't know who to handle real emotion so she blocks it out when she can. Which always made it easier and much more enjoyable when we made love. I got tired of each and every woman I slept with more than once telling me she 'loved' me. I was tired of the bore some tears that are so unattractive. Raquel never had any of that..until this time. She said no to me. That's never happened. I'm guessing that's because of you... " He looked up rather annoyed with Damian for that detail. "You know...it could be said it was your fault she was raped. If she hadn't learned to tell others no and deny her natural ability, I wouldn't have had to force myself on her. I mean, I was simply doing what every other man wanted to do in that ball room. She wasn't even yours that evening, isn't that right?" He asked, hoping his words struck Damian somewhere.

"Do not justify your actions by saying what others wanted! You do not even know that!" It was a feeble comeback. Damian blamed himself for her rape, yes, but only because he left her. Not because he conditioned her to have emotions like a normal person would.
"You listen," he said, extending his hand out with an accusing finger through the bars. "Raquel deserves to feel, because as much as you are right, that she is not fully human, she is at the same time indeed a human, a being who feels pain. You will not touch her and live."

Chase gave him a twisted smile of self gratification ash he laid back on his cot. "....There's one thing about Raquel...despite how much she's hurt, or how badly she says she doesn't want to...she always comes back."
he let those words hang as he stared up at the ceiling, thoughts of Raquel taking over his mind. How he did love when she squirmed, either from joy or pain, it was the same to him.

Damian had nothing to say to that, because it was sickeningly true.
The hours passed so slowly from the on as he tried to humor himself. Talking to Chase was not an option after their last exchange, and so he sat and waited. Occasionally he toyed with the glass earring Chase had thrown his way, wishing that he could take the pointed hook and give Chase a new piercing, preferably one he didn't need.
Finally the hour came when he would be released. The warden came back and took him out, immediately directing him towards the front desk where paperwork had to be signed and agreed to. His fine was taken care of, along with any more information he could possibly give on the incident.

*ladeda~ I was too lazy to post for Lorey Richard and Raquel- Ladidaw~*
Raquel had gotten some rest thanks to Lorey and Richards help, but she was still a nervous wreck about Damian. She wanted to go pick him up alone, not wanting Richard or Lorey to see the most likely overly emotional greeting he would get. The speeder still had the previous destination preprogrammd in, so all she had to do was what she had the night before. Raquel had put on a pair of jeans and a simple T shirt to pick him up, also remembering to bring him a change of clothes as well. She had actually been almost an hour early, and was pacing back and forth in the lobby, watching the clock with desperate eyes. The police officers had at first found it cute, but then started to take pity on her. They finally just went to release him as she stood, bouncing with anticipation, and biting her lip.

Before Damian had been released, the police found it necessary to search and the clothing Raquel had brought for him to change into. It was just a simple white shirt and a pair of loose jeans, but they were foreign and deemed a threat.
Once determined safe, however, they brought them to Damian and told him to go get changed. "She's waiting for you," were the only words spoken to him before the chief took his leave. Needing no more prompting, Damian went to change, emerging from the bathroom a new man.
He looked like a classy, but very normal citizen. Definitely not Damian Centurion. Even with this new street appearance, though, there was no stopping him from running up to Raquel to envelope her in a hug, and shower her with kisses once the doors opened to his freedom.

Raquel giggled as a few thankful tears streamed down her face, returning the kisses when she could. "Oh thank God..." She kept saying over and over, as she seemed to refuse to let him go. "Oh God I was so worried...." She kissed him carefully on the lips, afriad that any harsh or over the top expression of affection would somehow make him disappear.
Most of her bandages had been removed by now, the only one remaining was on her ribs, and one on her arm. Other than that she looked fine despite the bruising on her neck and arms, and most likely elsewhere as well. Her eyes were full of so much emotion it was hard to pin down which one it was. Positive or Negative.

"Alright, alright, get outta here..." was their last prompting from several officers who just wanted to continue their day without standing witness to something out of a movie. Damian blushed slightly, smiled to the men who had forced him into a holding cell, and began to lead Raquel out of the doors to the dirty streets he was learning to love once again. Having his freedom back, even if it was only two days without it, was a beautiful thing.
Damian opened the passenger's door for Raquel, and once she was tucked away, got into the driver's seat to get them home. As the engine came to life, he bent over to give Raquel a passionate kiss. All she'd been through, and she was still able to walk out of the house and drive the speeder on her own. "I love you..." he said, just as the vehicle lifted itself off the ground. Another kiss, and he seemed to be floating along with it. "I missed you, I was worried sick."

Raquel smiled as she returned the passionate kiss with her own, equally if not more. "I hardly slept love..." She said softly, almost not able to keep her hand so ff him. "I'm...I'm sorry for what I said...the other day." She was referring to their breakup, which she was assuming was now void, but wanted to hear him say it.

"Even though you were right?" It made him laugh just a bit. Of course she was right, and it probably would have forced them into acting more responsibly had this mess not taken place. He couldn't be thankful that it did, however. The only good that came of it was that they were together again.
"We'll talk about this more when we get home, alright? We'll talk about everything then when we're all settled down." It would be better to get everything out behind closed doors instead of in a speeder that he still had to watch regardless of auto-pilot.

----
Terra walked into the police station, her heels clicking on the tiled floor. Immediately the man at the front desk stood out of respect, because in the short time she had been in charge of the ball room, she had made her face well-known to all authorities on-planet.
"It's an honor to see you, Miss, but why have you come?" The head officer looked nervous, and rightly so. Even when sane, Terra had an air about her like a rubber band stretched too tight. One wrong move, and she would break and snap whatever was too close.
Terra looked to Cosette before replying. "There is a man here by the name of Chase. My songbird has landed himself in prison, remember? I wish to see him."
Those words were all that was needed to gain an escort behind the scenes to the holding cells, where they would come face to face with the man who Terra wanted outright dead.

Chase was lying on his back, staring up at the ceiling silently. He had planned on getting out of her in no time, but it seemed he couldn't be baled out just yet. He was told there was more questioning, though he figured they just wanted to keep him in here out of spite. When he heard the doors open however, he jumped to his feet, his suite looking rumpled and ragged, his white blond hair a mess. "It's about bloody time!" He yelled, pacing the concrete floors back and forth, like a lion in a cage, waiting for a chance to jump out.

Cosette walked along with them, glancing every so often at the cells they passed. She layed a hand on Terras shoulder as they rounded a corner. " Now now, my lamb. I'm sure we don't have to kill him, unless he proves irredemable. There are fates worth than death, we could cut off all his fingers; then he wouldn't be able to play his violin anymore." Cosette gave her 'lamb' a smile as they stopped infront of a cell. She glanced inside, then nodded to the officer, who went back off to his desk after offering a chair to Terra. She watched Chase pace his cell a bit before making herself known, walking right up to the bars to observe him. " So, this is the slime ball?" She asked, turning her head to Terra for confirmation from where she sat. (( Fixed!))
