Raco picked up the journal and read.
"Of course I understand w'at it is t'at you want. Revenge." he said flatly. He knew the feeling, not for the same reasons had he wanted it, but all the same he remembered all the well the anger and hatred that had filled his very soul. He pondered for a moment, it was within his abilities to keep quiet but all the same...what could be so bad that had happened that she wish no one to know?
"You 'ave my word." he said looking at Valiant, even though her eyes would not meet his own. He'd never say a word to anyone, not like he spoke that often as it was. And again he handed back the journal.

Why val was trusting the cat was beyond her, but she kept her doubts locked deep in her mind. Valiant was going with what felt right.
She set the journal to the side and attempted to access her voice.
"not revenge."
the words were raspy and inaudible so she repeated herself.
"not revenge. self defence."
Her brain didn't register her voice as her own, it was far to old to be the girl just shy of twenty. She still refused to look at him.
"I was nearly killed twice for being stupid in one battle. It rendered me useless to defend myself the second time."
Her voice broke as she buried her face in her hands.
"I... th.. the same man that gave me this wound... he... he."
She let out a shaky breath.
"he touched me. ... he did so much more then touch me."
She winced for the blow that was going to come, but remained where she was utterly still save for the wincing at every movement.

Raco looked to the ground, shaking in anger. To hell that something like this happened, the son of a b***h, he would get him, oh yes he would get him and he would pay with his life. There would be no mercy for him whatsoever. Rarely was it that Raco took on assassinations himself anymore, but this was personal.
"W'o id it. I'll find t'e son of a bitc' and make him pay wit' his ******** LIFE!" Raco blew up standing up.
A few of the surrounding Anbu heard the last of Raco's word cringed and slowly made their ways away from him and the area.
Raco's anger was boiling over, if this cat did it once, he'd do it again with no remorse and Raco would stop him in his tracks. This is why they were here, to keep these sorts of events from happening to rid Ikebokuro of sick-minded like this one. Raco's fingers drummed an amazingly face tap on his thigh that was well able to be hard by any around due to the force he was using, surely he would leave a bruise but he couldn't give a damn about a bruise.
"T'e son of a bitc' raped you didn't 'e?" he asked looking at Valiant, his eyes no longer blue and green, but reflecting a deep amber and an inner flame that was fed only more by how, dare he use the word...pathetic Val looked. He remembered her being a somewhat somber cat, but this was not part of who she was. He was not going to take this, no way in hell.
"Give me 'is name..."

Valiant hid her face behind her hair. Then stood. She nearly doubled over in pain as she did so but slowly made her way to raco. She wrapped her arms around him and hid her face in his chest.
"I'm sorry. I cant give you a name, I never knew it. I should go now."
She turned from him and wobbled back to the bed picking up her bag.
"You have shown me kindness, but all I have done is upset you. Take my word that I am sorry to have been a burden, and I will be on my way."
she walked to the edge of the clearing taking in the sights of the other cats and wondered aimlessly how she would find her way out of the area.
She responded to his earlier question over her shoulder.
"and yes. he raped me. several. times."

Raco watched her walk to the edge of the clearing. He stood there and crossed his arms. "Val, get your wounded a** back 'ere!" he called to her. "You want to become of of us, t'en you 'ave to learn to answer to me, for now I am 'ead of command 'ere." he said flicking his tail. "You leave, I'll only drag you back 'ere."
His tail flickered, he was anger, he was pissed, but with no name he would have trouble tracking down the cat, but he would find him whether Val liked it or not. For now, the girl needed a lot of rest and food in her stomach. She was no where near ready to be wandering around Ikebokuro and if there was anyplace that was truly safe it was here in East with him and the Anbu, no one was stupid enough to attempt to infiltrate this territory that was filled with highly train assassins.
He waited for Val to turn around and come back, she was going to stay here now, whether she liked it or not.

Vals ears twitched as she looked behind her to raco.
"you dont think Im a whore then?"
She winced as a contraction nearly brought her to her knees. Her head started swimming again and she knew there was no way in hell she was getting out tonight. She would have to wait until she was at least a little bit better. She bit her lip, somewhat reluctant to go back to him now. Male ego, thats what got her hurt to begin with. and go figure she goes to the next best thing. A bossy male.

Raco stared at her. "Valiant, the girls 'ere are bigger w'ores t'an you could ever 'ope to be. You did not wis' for t'at to 'appen to you, you did not ask for it, nor did you want it. In no way are you a w'ore." he said shaking his head and walking over to her picking her up again taking her back to her bed.
"As your first order from me as you're commander; you are to stay in bed until I deem you fit to leave." he said with a slight laugh as he set her down. "Now, I'll ask you one more time." he said looking down at her. "Is t'ere anyt'ing I can get you?" he asked with a smirk, he had better not say no this time.

Valiant's eyes widened as he picked her up and she fought off the urge to scream. The pain was nearly unbearable.
She glared at him feeling her stomach clench in thought of food. It made her sick.
"Not anymore. Now I'll end up puking it up."
She looked behind him to the females walking around, she could not see any of them as being whores, and quite frankly she did not like that he would say that.
"I dont know how you could say that. These people are you comrades and just because someone likes you now and then doesn't mean that they are a whore."
... and knowing val she is totally misinterpreting from the pain.

Raco shook his head with a sigh. "Fine, I'll at least bring you some water t'en." he said rolling his eyes. "But as for t'em..." he said pointing his thumb back a a group of the scantaly clothed females behind him whispering among themselves. "T'e Konouichi are trained in the arts of seduction and assassination. T'ey draw the target in making t'em t'ink t'ey are in for a bit of action, t'en t'ey wind of dead before t'e sun comes up." he said with a shrug. As far as he was concerned that was just all part of the job. Besides, only the women could go after a female target as it were.
He thought for a moment..."I use t'e term...lovingly." he said with a laugh. It was true though, most of the girls did often sleep around not only with many of the male members but with the other women as well. Philanderers the whole lot of them.

Val scoffed at him.
This had to be a joke, and she had signed herself up for it.
ah hell, what did she have to loose.... technically nothing. She sighed and looked at him, really looked at him. There was no doubt that he was an assasin, but for some reason she could not bring herself to fear him.
either she was incredibly brave, or a complete idiot.
"Raco."
she called softly looking into his eyes.
"thank you, I'll try to get better soon."

Raco nodded, still never smiling truly. "You will under our care. And don't t'ink anyt'ing of it. T'is is our job...you are one of us now, one big, ******** up family." he said with a shrug. They were like a large family...extremely dysfunctional and most slept around with one another, but a family nonetheless.
"I'll get t'at water t'en." he said turning away to get her the promised water. "I'll also bring you, your clothes." he said with a smirk, as a new Anbu, she had to look the part...modesty was no longer much of an option.

Valiant glared at his turned back.
The first real smile ish thing she gets out of her expense. Go. figure.
"a*****e." she muttered to herself and reached down to her bag.
Lightly she lifted her flute looking it over for damage. Obviously satisfied she pulled out her short swords and did the same, though she knew they were basically unbreakable. Elven things tended to keep well.
She sighed and set her head down while lifting the flute and began to play. Her mind seemed to clear instantly.
val would never play a happy song again.

Raco returned with a earthen-made cup filled with fresh cool water and an outfit draped over his arm. He found Val placing her flute and decided to let her finish her ballad before interrupting here with his presence.
Once finished he approached her setting the cup next to her and holding out the small bundle of clothes. "T'is is the least...revealing t'ing I could get my paws on." he said with a of a laugh, but still sounding a bit sorry. The outfit was indeed less revealing that most of the Konouichi's around the camp, but it still wasn't the most, covering of things that could be warn. "You'll start training in t'ree days." he said with a very sturdy tone, by the she would not be full healed, but she needed to learn how to fight with a wound, and better a healing one than a fresh one.

Valiant nodded to him and took the somewhat skimpy cloths. She turned and started undressing, favoring her wounds. Quickly she slipped on the dress and looked down not pleased.
well...
it could be worse she thought with some humor.
It could be raining.
With skill she pulled her long moonlight hair from her face and tied it into a knot.
"well. I guess I could look worse." she mumbled turning back to look at raco.

Raco nodded, she hadn't needed to put it on just then, but if it was her way of going about it. "Yes...you could wear t'e same t'ing Karin wears and trust me, s'e leaves not'ing to t'e imagination." he said shaking his head.
Karin was head Konouichi and would more than likely at one point take over Val's training where Raco could not teach her. But he'd leave out that part for a little later, he would train her in everything he was able then hand her over. Unless Youko showed himself soon, then it was likely Youko would take on the training rather than Karin...for some reason the man looked more like a woman most of the time and had many times passed for one.
"Now you need your rest. One of the medics will be 'ere soon to redress your wounds and medicate t'em." he said motioning for Val to get back into bed.
