Fish went wide-eyed as he watched the video. No way! People could do that? These guys had to have super-powers or something! But they were normal human beings? Seriously?
His mouth popped slightly open. When the video ended, he looked over at Crowley.
"That is so cool!" he exclaimed. He pointed to the 'related videos' box. "Can we watch more? We have so got to learn how to do that! Really!"
Judging from his enthusiasm, Fish was totally sold on the idea.

It was definitely a self-satisfied grin on Crowley's face as he leaned forward and clicked on the first video in the box; it popped up and started playing some kind of jazzy punk song that he didn't particularly like. He grinned brightly at Fish's expression, asking, "Didn't I tell ya?"
Now he just had to learn it. "Teach me to surf when you're better and I'll teach you what I know of parkour? Like a trade, right?" That way, no one owed anyone anything. What was it Amagi said? A promise made is a debt unpaid or something.
"D'we wanna learn parkour or free-running, d'you think," he said, "Parkour's the real deal but free-running's fancier."

Fish hesitated for a second. Both looked really cool, but the Parkour guys were jumping from roof to roof and the free-running guys were doing flips that looked kinda hard. Well, which was to say, both of them looked incredibly cool and kind of difficult, but on a scale of one to breaking your face, parkour seemed like the wiser choice. Also, it seemed far more useful and than doing flips down staircases.
Also, like Crowley said, it was the real deal.
"Parkour," said Fish. "And this music stinks. When we do parkour, we're gonna have a better soundtrack."

He nodded firmly. "Yes we will," Crowley said, "this makes me want to rip out my eardrums." So he muted the computer, a scowl on his face as he rolled the volume control on the side of the monitor.
"Man," he said as he found another video, this one apparently pure parkour, "I'm surprised no one's gone looking for us yet." But then, he didn't contribute much to class, so he wasn't really surprised; he just wanted to say something.

Oh. Right. Class. Fish pouted, thinking of a way to go back and not get in trouble.
"Um," he said, "You go back first. And then I'll go back in a minute later or something and tell her that the nurse took a while to find the pills. And you can come up with your own excuse."
He cast a wavering glance at the screen. That was so cool. He wanted to get started now. It was almost like what he'd been trying to do on the banister, but without the whole crashing and burning part.

"Gotcha," said Crowley, thinking this was a good idea. "See ya back in class, Fish." And he got up and logged off the computer, poked his head out the door to scope out the hallway. It was empty enough, so he walked out of the door (trying for casual and at least not missing his mark too badly) and back to class. He occasionally glanced over his shoulder for Fish, though, and that was what he was doing when he rejoined the class and sidled into his chair. The teacher didn't even glance his way, too busy lecturing on the construction of Durem.
Wow, he thought, that went better than expected.

Fish slipped in a minute behind his friend, holding his arm like it was still bothering him. Luckily, the teacher didn't even look his way, just scribbled something on the board about the Von Helsons. He slid slickly into his chair and grinned slyly at Crowley before flashing him a thumbs up.
"This is going to be awesome," he scribbled on the sheet of paper in front of him, and followed it with, "We are so cool."
And he really did think they were.
