"Say, maybe we could give her a few dandelions! Those things are tough as nails and they're quite pretty, I think. Then again, people consider them weeds, so that won't do. Maybe something without a lot of spines, so people don't-"
Verdant jumped when he heard the glass shatter. He bent over the counter and saw that one of the bags Emilia had been holding had fallen onto the floor. Something brown coated the floor around her and had even splattered on her shoes a little. Verdant walked into the store room, managed to find a mop and two buckets, then headed back out to clean the mess.
"Excuse me, Emilia," he said cheerfully as he motioned for her to move aside just a bit. He took out the contents from the plastic bag and placed them in one bucket, being careful not to cut himself on the shards of glass that were stuck in the syrup(?). When all the items were in the bucket, he started mopping up the mess. "Oh, which ones are you talking about? The ice plants or urn plants? Both are quite hardy and don't require a lot of watering. But... I don't think you'd be able to carry any plants with you. Your arms are pretty full as it is."

Elst watched as the bag fell, hearing the sharp crash as whatever was in the bag shattered. He nearly got up to get the mop from the back, but Verdant had already retrieved it. Already at work, is he... Nice to know. I'm just glad I got that travertine tile installed in here, the old stuff would've probably cracked, even stained...
"Oh, thank you for getting that, Verdant... Now, I think the best choice would be a succulent, not necessarily a cactus of any sort, there's plenty of hardy succulents that lack spines, and many of them bloom during the day. And, if necessary, we can help get them to your house, although you don't seem as bag-burdened, at least not any more... How does that sound?"

Emilia didn't seem as nearly as concerned as the two men. It was a bag - although she had to confess that losing the sweet syrup that now stained the bag and floor was.. upsetting. She stepped away, allowing Verdant to remove the goods from the bag that had not been ruined. To any normal woman, concerned with their figure or however one might perceive her, the contents would have been embarrassing. The blond, however, didn't give a second glance to the packets of cookies, bags of chips and bottles of sugary-drinks, even whipped-cream, that were pulled out.
"Hand; my.. hand was full."
She corrected idly, waving what remained of her left arm, hidden beneath clothing; the arm swayed as she wiggled it. But that was all unimportant. It seemed ideal to go back to the subject of flowers, and with the offer to help her carry her things home, Emilia seemed delighted in this information. yes, it would all work wonderfully. Rolling a slender pair of shoulders in a shrug, Emilia stepped forward, closer to Elst before looking to Verdant briefly.
"Uhm.. either. I'll let you pick."
Since when had she had a strong preference on anything outside of food? She now turned her attention to Verdant. For once, she felt tired of being inside. The once light air which had been scented by the fragrance of flowers now smelt of thick, sugar-laden syrup. No, it certainly couldn't be healthy..
"What happened to that plant that was with you? Can you show me the plants?"

"Well, I suppose succulents will have to do, right Elst?" Verdant asked as he picked up the buckets. He moved his arm so that the mop handle was resting on his shoulder. He didn't want the dang thing falling out. "Oh, Aoi? Um, he's not for sale either. I-I'll go wash these up and put them in another bag for you, Emilia." He bowed slightly at the ditzy blonde and headed into the storage room. He smiled at Elst on the way in and trudged up to the sink. He emptied the bucket with the shards of glass into the large refuse bin near the sink, then started washing the rest of her things.

Elst silently watched as, well, Verdant handled everything. It seemed to be done even before he had a chance to stand up, so seated he remained. Upon hearing Verdant speak, however, he stirred slightly. “Oh yeah, he isn’t on sale, sorry. But we do have some nice succulents you may like…” He stood, supporting his knees with his hands, and walked out of the room for a moment. When he returned, in his arms rested a number of succulents, among them a sample of ice plant, cactus, and aloe plants. “This is what we mean when we say succulents. How do these look to you?”
