The silence seems the loudest he's ever heard it when she finally stops playing and he, for a long moment, is speechless.

...

.....

...

That.....that was.....wow..... eek

The accompanying projections do not suggest that he is offput, so much that his mind has simply been temporarily blown by it.

Hee. whee

Melody shuts off the amp, disconnects it from her waist, and gently sets the guitar aside for the moment.

There's another style of guitar; one that requires no electrical help; one that Hitsuga may actually like MORE, now that Melody thinks about it, since its sound is more about the beauty of the strings rather than blowing someone away with ROCK...

Buuuuuuut Melody has to admit she always did enjoy the electric guitar more than acoustic and classical guitars. But perhaps even that could change-- she'd found the zither somewhat boring-sounding at first, but she warmed up to it extremely quickly!

Well.... he begins, reaching up to straighten his hair as if he's convinced it MUST be blown around in unkempt flyaways from the force of her "rocking out"

Well, he supposes it is probably a much different feeling for the person playing. And to know one has the power to make that volume of something do what they want it to must be very empowering. He can easily see how she -would- prefer it. 3nodding

Lady Melody sounds as if she has been playing the guitar for awhile, then?

Almost all her life, she answers. Perhaps it's in her blood; her name "Melody" was hardly an accident, you know. Daddy had been interested in music since he was tiny tiny, and perhaps his music would be more pleasing to Hitsuga. The ocarina was his first instrument, but Grandma June got a double-reed instrument that she used to play modified so he could hold it. (It, Melody notes, looks pretty silly in Boyan's hands now that he -- and all Porcelain -- are the proper size to play a real oboe), and also, he enjoys flutes!

Her Daddy loved music so much that he even named his daughter for it! Melody. 3nodding

And while Melody played with Daddy's Ocarina before she could even walk, while she banged on pots and listened, wide-eyed, to the music Daddy used to play, it was the kind of music that Hitsuga heard just now that REALLY captured Melody's imagination.

So when she was a little girl, she got her first guitar. And the rest is history!

He listens, feeling himself smile in spite of himself. If Melody had not driven the idea home the first time they'd met, she's managed to make it perfectly clear now that she and her father are very close to one another.

He must admit, he tells her, her father had not struck him as someone with a passion for woodwinds. This, he supposes, just goes to prove he has much to learn about the man.

Perhaps when he has things a bit more squared away and can properly receive guests, she could bring him by for a visit? Though....admittedly, he's not sure if the things he will be stocking the shelves with eventually will be of any interest to either of them. sweatdrop

Well, now Melody's curious.

What sort of things will Hitsuga be selling from his home, anyway?

Well, he explains, primarily he makes perfumes and colognes.

Though, if he manages to find the means, he also knows how to make candles, incense, and, if he can find someone else to make the base-stock for it as he had back home, soap.

Soap?

Soap?

Oh no, Melody thinks; she can't bring Daddy by if Hitsuga sells soap! She will never be able to pry him away. gonk

He blinks at this.

Err....Melody's father likes soap, then...? sweatdrop

He sees. He thinks.

He chuckles a bit, waving it off. He supposes that is still a bit off, however, before it becomes a worry. He has only just today started to work again, after all.

Well, it's nothing BAD, Melody assures him. It's just a story that Daddy should be telling, and not Melody. Especially since Daddy was really really young at the time!

Soooooooooooooooo.

She peers at Hitsu. So? So? Is he going to try the strawberries? And the lactose pills?

The....oh. Oh! Yes. Of course..! sweatdrop

He reaches for the bag (which has conveniently fallen open a bit....perhaps as an aftershock of Melody's rocking out?) and carefully shifts through its contents, looking for the items in question before coming up a moment later with a small box that rattles when shaken, and another box which is much more decorative, its top a transparent plastic sheet that overlooks several chocolate-coated berries.

He sets these on the counter, with gentle insistences that Lady Melody join him as she was the one who supplied the treat in the first place 3nodding

We-ell, Melody supposes one or two won't hurt! But she would have to steal one of the pills; she's not so good with milk, either.

But at least this way, she'll be able to prove they're safe; if a pregnant woman can handle them, so can a healthy man, right? 3nodding

He trusts Lady Melody that they're safe, of course...it just seems that it would be horribly rude of him to not share when they are something she likely enjoys as well, yes?

It takes him a moment of fumbling to figure out the proper way the box of pills opens, and then another to puzzle them out of the foil sheet they've been encased in. It is apparent that he and packaging don't often get on well with one another.

Eventually, however, he has two of the small white tablets in his palm, one of which he offers to Melody
