Shadai nodded, hoping the same. "Same. Though with my luck, Cody will try and take it home no matter what I say or do," the female replied, sighing. Although Cody had yet to steal anything outside of their house, besides her car keys and various other things, there was no telling when it would happen.

"Easy. Wait till mummy not looking and take," Cody managed to say before Lulu suggested they hurry and took off. Finding the idea a good one, he followed the hybrid over to their parents while the keys quickly slipped out of sight.

"Everyone here? Then let's head to the Egyptian exhibit!" Shadai said, once Cody had wandered back to her, as well as Luska to her guardian's side. Navigating through the somewhat tricky hallways, the four finally managed to find the right exhibit. Already there was a small group of kids and adults there, admiring the sarcophagus of long dead Egyptian pharaohs and mummified items. Then, in one of the corners was a glass case absolutely full of jewelry. That spelled trouble if either toddler saw and decided they wanted anything in it, especially Cody who had yet to understand, to Shadai anyways, that stealing was bad.

Shadai smiled and nodded, glad she could help out her newly found friend. Though she did stifle a giggle when Luska claimed the mummies in the sarcophagi and glass displays were sleeping, finding it rather cute.

Cody stared at the mummies, wrinkling his nose a bit at them. They looked all old and wrinkly. Not to mention in dire need of a good bath. And they all looked like skeletons with skin and covered in brown-ish toilet paper.

And then, what she feared would happen did. Luska saw the jewelry and made a big deal over it by rushing over to the case, squealing loudly and making a rather loud commotion as she ran over to it. As she did so, Cody turned and his eyes instantly attached themselves to the jewelry.

They sparkled and glowed like nothing he had ever seen before, outside of the things in Ary's room. The toddler instantly wandered over to the case, staring at the golden chains and giant gemstones. "Can have, mum?" he asked softly, pointing to the items as he looked at Shadai. The female shook her head. "No, they belong here. Sorry. And don't try and take anything," she warned, glad that Cody seemed to be listening to her... for once.

Cody glanced at Lulu then at his mom, shifting from foot to foot. What should he do? Wait till Shadai and Rein were distracted then take something to give to Lulu or do what his mum said and leave them be? The indecision was almost unbearable and all he could do was stand there and shift uncomfortably.

Finally, the toddler sighed and gave in to his greed side, already plotting on how to get something without alerting anyone. That meant something easy... He noticed there were a couple necklaces on display with only a rope protecting them from thieving hands out of the corner of his eye. Perfect. Now... For the distraction.

"Wassat?" Cody asked, pointing to the golden and jewel-encrusted cases that had been painted quite artistically. As Shadai turned, he nodded slightly to Lulu and held a finger to his lips to tell her to be quiet once Rein wasn't looking his way. Slowly, the toddler directed his mother closer to the display case as they wandered over. The case was only a few feet away AND in perfect reach. Now to time the cameras and guards watch to do this without them noticing. He'd have to be quick...

Like an experienced pick-pocket from the olden times, Cody's hand darted out and snatched the necklace. With a faint flash of gold, the necklace disappeared into his pocket while one on the base that was less viewed than the others took its place. With a glance around, it seemed like no one had noticed as the toddler wandered off with his mother to the beautiful box.

"Got it," he whispered to Lulu, winking excitedly. He'd have to give it to her later, so that their parents, the guards, and the cameras didn't see him. Man, he was good.

"What are you so proud about?" Shadai asked, glancing down at Cody who looked like he had won something. "Nothing. Just... happy," the toddler replied, grinning up at his mother. The female merely sighed and rolled her eyes, wondering what he managed to steal out of her purse this time as they admired another part of the exhibit. This time, the different tablets of hieroglyphics and pictures of pyramids, along with several miniature models of the pyramids and how life would be like.

((We can have the guards stop them or not, up to you. Maybe even the alarms can go off and scare the snot outta them. XDD))

Shadai jumped and looked around wildly at the sound, heart pounding at the sudden scare and shock. A small hand suddenly grabbed hers, as well as a shrill plead for the sounds to stop. Upon looking down, she found it to be Luska, not Cody, and that her toddler was frozen in place, staring around in fear. Worried about Luska, Shadai picked up the toddler while moving to stand by Cody, glancing at Rein in hopes of her retrieving her child who had mistaken who her guardian was.

"Cody, what in the heavens and hells did you do?!" Shadai asked, shouting to make herself heard. Cody merely looked at her and burst into tears, rushing to her side and grabbing her free hand. "Make loud noise stop! Hurt ears!" he cried and the alarm did die down after a moment as several guards walked up to the two guardians and their spawns, glaring at Cody who was now clutching Shadai's leg like his life depended on it. Shadai groaned, wondering why she hadn't seen this coming sooner. She should have kept a better eye on him earlier. Now she had to wonder; what in the world did he steal?!

"I believe your... child has something that belongs to the museum. Particularly the necklace of Nefertiti," one of the guards said, looking far more grumpy than mad. The other, however, looked rather amused. "So, if you'll give us the necklace without any trouble, you can be on your merry way," the second added, glancing at his friend. "I still doubt he took it. Maybe his mother, but not him. He's a child," the second whispered to the first, as if this was all a joke.

But if only it was, for upon mentioning the necklace, Cody scowled and clutched his mother even more. "No! Mine!" he snapped, looking up at his mother, hoping she would enforce what he said, only to be met by an exhausted and rather irritated look. "Cody, these men would like the necklace back; so I suggest you give it-"

"NO! Mine! For Lulu!" the toddler shouted, interrupting Shadai, not willing to give up his necklace he had rightfully taken. At this point, the second guard looked rather shocked as the female gently pried the kid off her leg and reached into his pocket while Cody frantically tried to get away. Thankfully Shadai was holding his hands together so he couldn't and after a moment of struggling, Shadai managed to procure the necklace as well as her car keys and several, rather expensive-looking pens.

"Is this it?" Shadai asked as she removed the necklace from the other items and held it out. She had released Cody and ignored the toddler as he sat down in a huff, looking rather pissed off. "Easy take. My necklace. Stupid adults," he muttered, no longer wanting to look at his mother. The first guard wordlessly took it while the second stared in surprise at Cody, wondering how in the world a toddler could have taken such a heavily guarded item. After a moment, the two turned and wandered through a semi-hidden door and disappeared. Whispers about what had just transpired began to echo through the room before returning to the usual chatter and noise level. All the while, Shadai looked at Cody, as if wondering what on earth she was going to do with him.

"Sorry about this; I have no idea what possessed him to take it. Perhaps we should head home..." Shadai apologized, watching the toddler remain sitting for a moment before finally standing and looking apologetically not at his mother, but at Luska. "Sorry I couldn't get necklace for you. Guards take it before I could," he said, looking upset more at the fact they had caught him than them actually taking his gift for the other toddler.

"Both our faults?" Cody offered, still thinking that he should have planned on the guards noticing the difference in necklaces. Or perhaps they had counted the number of items on the stand and realized one had gone missing before noticing that one didn't look quite as real as the original. Oh well, if Lulu hadn't asked him to take it, then this wouldn't have happened anyways, or would it? He might have taken it anyways, just for himself that time... Oh well, what was done was done and there was no changing it.

Shadai nodded and grasped Cody's hand tightly, making sure the toddler wouldn't wander off or try and steal anything else. "No, Cody should have known better than to take it. I apologize for his mistake. Perhaps we should get together again elsewhere some other time?" she offered, knowing that Cody would love to meet his new friend again. Even if she had gotten him into trouble and vice-versa.

Cody looked up at his mother upon hearing her suggestion and grinned. "Yeah! Lulu come over and play!" he said, slowly getting over the whole ordeal that had transpired only minutes before.

Shadai took the card after fishing out a card from her purse as well. Using one of the numerous pens she had gotten from Cody's pocket, the Egyptian managed to write her number on it and handed it over to Rein.

"They are adorable, I'll agree with that and that we should meet up again soon. Le Dulce? I've heard of it, but I've rarely had time to actually stop by. Here's my number, there generally is someone home. On the back is where I work if no one answers. So I'll see you around, then?" she asked, handing Cody the pens back. They were his, she supposed, even if she had a strong feeling that they had been stolen.

"Yeah! Real soon," Cody replied, then nodded to the mouthed words. 'I'll be better next time too,' he mouthed back before grinning a rather... Devilish sort of grin. Only one thing came from such a grin and that was mayhem and trouble resulting from a thieving little toddler testing out his abilities.
