For his part, Zhane did his best to stay quiet and out-of-the-way as Nani was prepped for whatever it was an ultrasound entailed. He'd meant to look it up online at some point, but had never remembered until he was either in the shower or on the road somewhere.
...such was life.
It would be a learning experience for both of them, he guessed.

Turning towards the small screen, the doctor turns it on as she runs the transducer over Tinania's stomach. As the screen becomes clear, she smiles as the screen produces a heartbeat instantly. Looking towards the parents she smiles to them "Well as you can see, the heartbeat is rather healthy and strong." turning back towards the screen, she moves down towards the right side of Tinania's stomach. Placing the device over Tinania's scar.
On the screen, appears a rather ugly looking scar within Tinania's womb. A frown forms over the doctor's face as she looks it over. It took a moment before she smiles "Well other then what looks like wings, horns, and a tail. Your fine Tinania. The scar seems to be just that, a scar. No damage inside anymore, so you will not have to worry about carrying this baby to term." moving the transducer back over to the top of her stomach, she looks back towards the screen as she point out the growing child inside Tinania "Sadly I can't tell you what the sex of the baby it. It seems this little one wants to keep that hidden."
Tinania chuckles as the tears run down her cheeks, finding herself wanting to hug the doctor for this great new. Not only was she okay, but so was her little child. As the doctor cleans off her stomach, she looks at Zhane. A huge smile on her face, as she finds herself laughing "Seems to me, choosing a name is going to be rather interesting now."

Zhane's attention had been grabbed from the moment the monitor had come to life. And his heart had leapt into his throat the minute the hazy mess of shadows had drawn into focus to reveal....
.....well, he wasn't sure. What the doctor called wings/horns/a tail could have been anything for all he knew. But the heartbeat was there. And that was something. ....that was, in fact, a very big something that made a lump rise in his throat.
It was not until Nani spoke that he jarred his eyes away from the monitor to look at her, and seeing her tearful smile was all it took to undo the meager restraints being kept on his own. Rising from the seat he leans over the bench she is laid out on to hug her tightly, though mindfully out of the way of where the doctor is working.

Stepping aside, the Doctor turns towards the machine again to print out an image from the ultrasound. Turning towards Zhane and Tinania she chuckles at them "As I said, looks to me everything is fine. Just make sure she doesn't do anything stressful. Oh and make sure she eats and drinks alot, as she is slightly underweight. This could be because of her blood. But I want to just be on the safe side and keep track of that." turning towards Tinania's record, she writes a few things down before picking it up.
"I will let you two have a few minutes to yourself. You have a good day, and I want to see you back in a couple of weeks Tinania." bowing her head, she slips out the door closing it behind her.
Tinania nods as she hugs Zhane close, only to break away from him. Looking up at him, she lifts her hand to run it across his cheek "We don't have to worry anymore. We can actually finish planning everything, and tell the kids."

"Yeah..." the word was small, wavering, though issued from a mouth that was smiling so widely it hurt. And Zhane couldn't help it. It was really going to be all right...
No more fretting. No more stopping himself just short of the idea he was going to be a father to dwell on what-ifs. It was real now. It was going to happen.
"I love you so much..." he whispered, turning his head into her palm to kiss it fleetingly.

With a light chuckle, Tinania carefully slips off the bench. Her wings folding behind her back as she brushes her pants off. Turning towards Zhane, she wraps her arms around his waist. Leaning up, she brushes a gentle kiss over his lips. So very simple, yet it held so much feeling behind it. She wouldn't have to worry any longer, or be scared. She could actually be happy now, and do everything she wants to do. ~~~~~ Setting the record down in front of Krista, the young woman leans over her smiling "She fine, as well is the baby. Everything checked out, and that scarring is gone. So be happy grandma." patting Krista's shoulder, she slips away from her as she walks back into her office. Krista sat there just for a moment, looking at the record. She was stunned to say the least. Another child coming into the world, and now there was so much they had to do.
