Ulterior_Motives I'm a sophmore in highschool and am currently in my 3rd transcript-reconized year of Japanese. I'm looking for someone that is willing to teach or be taught, and is also willing to help me proof my essays and speeches before I turn them in. Hey. I dun'no if there're many people who know Kansai ben very well, but...
I'm looking for someone t' teach me the Kansai dialect if they can, because I've been looking it up and it's pretty different from the standard Japanese. O_o

ohayoo !!
you can call me Michael. my knowledge of hiragana, is worse than my knowledge of kanji, which is mostly forgotten after a 1 year break. I enjoy developing roleplaying game ideas based on languages to help accelerate the learning process. There are many variants on this idea, and ive tried many. Tommorrow I'll be trying again.
i first took japanese in 1993, and am taking it next quarter (2006) and perhaps the next two quarters after that. (15 credits worth). If things work out, I'll be part of the JET program before 2010.

I'd really like a conversation partner IN PERSON... I'm kinda worried about my convo skills since I got back to America.
So I'll make this general. Anyone in MARIN area or SAN FRANCISCO, CA!? I guess I don't really care what level you are, but I'd prefer intermediates... just as long as someone wants to study Japanese, I NEED to be around people like that so as not to lose "it". ya know? whee

Anyway, you can get Gtalk and work on convorsation that way if you'd like. (or other vocal programs)

I would suggest using YIM with their doodle feature in combination with Gtalk to do this. I'm not a sensei, I suck at it, but if I were to help someone that's how I'd do it.
