She grinned, eager to share her place, knowing instinctively that he would understand it. She hopped up onto an outcropping before quickly making her way up the mountainside with precise, sure steps. She looked back over her shoulder to make sure Jyri was okay, though she doubted he'd have any problems with this rocky path. "Just a bit more!"

Jyri followed after her quite easily as if he was moving about on flat ground. His hooves easily made sure to catch hold of any small juttings or rocks, no worries on his face. He smiled to her when she said it was only a little bit further ahead, nodding his head to her.

She stopped finally when she reached a cave that seemed to dip underground rather than go straight through, pausing only to smile at Jyri and give him a friendly head butt, one that wouldn't hurt. She continued onwards, disappearing quickly as she descended. "Come on, I think you'll like this a lot! It's pretty down here."

He stopped beside her and looked down into the dip, now looking curious. Their horns made a clunking sound when she gave him the headbutt and he smiled at her brightly. When she started her descent, he followed behind her, the scraping and clunking of their hooves echoing in the air.

After several moments in silence, the dark gradually began to lighten, slowly revealing small chunks of gems and minerals embedded in the dark rock. The deeper they went, the lighter it actually got until they came upon a small cavern with an underground stream running through it and the walls studded with amethyst and a strangely translucent crystal that seemed to be projecting the light in small rainbow streams. Apa came to a stop in the center, turning towards Jyri expectantly. "What do you think?"

He let his eyes adjust as they seemed to disappear from the surface and went further down into the ground. He looked up and around, green eyes taking everything in. Once they were in a more lighter area, his eyes widened at the gems and crystals embedded in the wall and the water flowing through the cavern, "Wow...it's beautiful here!"

She relaxed as she watched Jyri and her small smile bloomed into a large one at his exclamation. Somehow she knew he'd appreciate the beauty in here! "See? Not something you'd see from topside, would you? I love it in here. It seems almost mystical and I love to come here and think. The water is pure and sweet down here." She smiled mischieviously before plowing her hoof through the water and spraying him with a fine mist of chilly, diamond-like drops. "Cold too!"

"Hey, no fair!!" he said as he got wet. He splashed her with some water and then butted his horns against hers, laughing.

She gave a little shriek as she got wet, the cold making her startle before she laughed and affectionately butted her horns against his too before wheeling on her hind hooves to run a short distance, the sound crystalline in the underground fantasyland.
"Think you can catch me?"

"I know I can!" he laughed as he ran after her, the sound of his hooves clopping against the stone and water.

She laughed happily, giving a squeak as she ran to and fro, trying to outrace and dodge Jyri at the same time. She tried hiding too but her gold hooves and horns always gave her away somehow.

The male laughed as he chased her around, finding it all quite fun. He knew regular Talayes, especially the Winds, had fun chasing each other in the air. But he found this ten times more fun, running around undergroud.

The female laughed some more as she hopped over large outcroppings and dashed behind a stalagmite, peeking around it with wide golden eyes before flopping down exhausted. Laughing, she rolled to her side and waved a hoof in the air. "I give! I give!"

Jyri chased after her, laughing loudly. When he ran around the stalagmite and saw her flopped over and waving her paw in the air, he laughed and sat beside her, "That was quite fun, I've never ran underground before!"
