Krazy-Chibi In general I really like Yuri as a main character, he kinda broke the mold of the previous Tales main characters this kinda explains it xd
Rita is really cool too, plus she's amazing when it comes to GRADE farming! (blah blah blah Tidal Wave!) rofl That cracks me up. xd Rita's got some really nice spells that fill up the Over Limit bar before she's even done Over Limit...ing. My friend plays as Rita and (in a boss fight) she'll sit in the back spamming Violent Pain(or some similar spell) while I spam red Fatal Strikes. xd

I haven't had the chance to team up with other people on co-op. When I do, I think I'll take Repede - I have to have the fastest character!
I don't really use Rita; My normal team consists of Yuri, Repede, Estelle and either Karol or Raven depending on whether I need a secondary healer or not.

Haha my team is usually Yuri, Judith, Raven, & Rita, if one of them leaves the party I replace them with Repede. Only really use Estelle for battles I know are going to be tough.

Our party is generally Rita (my friend), Repede (me), Estelle and Raven(occasionally Karol replaces him).
Yuri and Judith don't see very many battles, in fact we even got a skit because Judy had been in roughly 6% of the battles, compared to Repede's 80 something. XP
Repede is really fun to play as, but it's difficult to hit things that fly...XP

I've managed to get my housemate to join me on Vesperia now!
I'm Repede, she's Yuri (she's new to Tales games, explaining the arte system in full may take too long!), and we have Estelle and Rita at the moment as backup (Still haven't got Raven yet).
I can't say I've had too many problems with Repede against flying enemies - I just use his Up attack followed by Crescent Fang.

Oh, using directional attacks combined with certain artes in certain situations...that's too much for poor, un-arte-coordinated me. xp
But you found a solution to what I thought was Repede's biggest flaw!

I've been playing Vesperia a little bit recently with my housemates. I play as Yuri, Ash plays as Repede, and Fox plays as Rita (or Estelle during boss battles because her healing AI kind of sucks.) The fourth member is Estelle (or Rita during boss battles)
We haven't gotten Flynn, Judith or Raven yet, but none of us like Karol^^;
So far I like Yuri the best, although Rita is kind of cool too. Estelle reminds me of a cross between Raine and Collette. She's not bad, but sometimes I just want to hit her. Repede is...Repede. I have no real opinion one way or another toward him.
Flynn makes me think of paladins. He's definitely lawful stupid T.T
I do like Commandant Alexi though. Too bad he's not a playable character. I think he's going to be the 'Yuan' of this game for me.
Ioder is probably going to end up evil, because he's too cute to be good. Just like Mithos xD
I haven't been able to get into Vesperia the way I can get into Symphonia, but perhaps it will grab my attention more further along the plot line. I do like free running though.
After playing today my new OTP is RitaxEstelle xD

Yes, all and all Vesperia is a really great game...Its put in my heart...Yuri, Rita, Estelle, and most the time Judy is my party...If you could get Flynn I would most likely use him too...

Lol, I'd probably play as Flynn too...in fact, for one battle, I did! My friend was jealous because he had Sword Rain. XD
We beat the game yesterday. :O There are a few plot-related things that didn't get resolved(at least through the main story. Maybe they are in side-quests?) that sort-of bothered me, but all in all...
I wanna play again!!! whee

My favorite has to be Rita, though since I suck with magic users I just stick with playing as Yuri. :3
Yuri has to be my favorite main hero to date though. XD Not gonna lie.
I've only played with people once and that was with my brother. :c He doesn't like the story parts he just wants to fight.

I might just buy a PS3 just to buy the game again so I can get the Asch costume for Yuri. <3 Estelle gets Tear's costume, too, and that just makes me laugh. There's also a lot of extra content and a new playable character thrown in. I'm wondering where they're adding her in. I'm all for there being another character: ToV was the most disappointing when it came to playable characters (but man do I love me some Raven). What annoys me the most though is that Karol gets the Lloyd costume. -_-;; Sure, the characters remind me of each other but... Poor Lloyd.
Yuri is one of my favourite protagonists, simply because he's not all idealistic - he's willing to get his hands dirty, and that's something kinda different than the other games. (I'll hopefully cosplay a Vesperia character someday.)
