Gaara_San Eh he's okay but..He's a bit whiny for a fourteen or fifteen year old..Really, he needs to be more independant. He follows Ed around and takes his orders like some kind of little kid or dog..I know Edward is his older brother and all but he really does need to grow up..

Alphonse is my favorite character in the series! I'm not exactly attracted to anyone in the series, cuz I'm a little old for both Ed and Al xd . I like Alphonse because sometimes I think he's the only one who has brains. At times, I get so frustrated at Ed because he's so pessimistic the majority of the time. I feel sorry for Al because he's stuck in that metal armor plus he thinks that he isn't real and that he might have artificial memories implanted from Ed. But of course I know that isn't true, because Ed told him the truth or what not. I've seen some clips from the movie however, and I though Al looked pretty cute older. Ed too! By the way, the voice actor for Al is adorable. He does such a good job. I hope one day I can meet him at an anime convention and tell him how good he is!!! mrgreen

I love Al. I agree with it being almost a tie between him and Ed, but Al's got something special. It's hard being Ed's shadow, I believe. People should notice him too. Even if he gets whiny at times, he's much more calm and mature than his brother, and he's definately wise beyond his years. He's also got (like most FMA characters, but a different way) all this psychological crap screwing him up constantly. I mean, he can't even feel. He can't sleep. He's in a suit of armor. Having doubts about his existance prior to the armor... he must be one of the most confused characters in the series, but he still remains the way he is.
