We always have junior high kids... Sometimes we even allow 6th graders

well at my school they took the 8th grade to play in the last show of the season and now this week we're getting ready for the parade (since we're now freshmen)

Our school has about 125 members and every year we move more 8th graders up. It is annoying because when they get to high school they act like they are better than everyone else.

the high school thats where i live has around 100 people, teaching 8th graders to march is a good idea so that way they know how to march when they get up to high school, whether they entered into competions in that 8th grade or not

We allow eighth graders in our band. I actually started in eighth grade. (I marched parade in 7th though) But it's not like we say,"Okay, you're in eighth grade you can come and march!" They only offer this to the top of the middle school students that are in eighth grade. No auditions though but we're getting a new band director this year so that may all change..

well my band is a class a band so we have over 200 members so we dont have eighth graders marching but they do the little scenes in the backfield
