Rayne had asked the owner of the restaurant if she could spend the night in the spare room if she promised to clean the place the next day and help out. She was currently sweeping the front porch, watching the villagers go in and out. Shay was curled up on the railing, watching as well, staying on alert in case something happened.

Orcus had more then enough money and wanted to taste real food for once. He headed to a small restaurant and order whatever was abundant. He sat at his table and ate quietly. He kept his eye on everything that was happening. A bar fight erupted in the bar and a couple of jackrabbits ran through the road. It was a good day, he only wished that he could have been at the bar that day.

Rayne sat the broom in the corner and sighed. "Where do you think we should go after this, Shay?" She asked him, and people that were sitting on the porch stared at her strangely and walked off. She wished she could talk with him through her thoughts, but only he could do that. I don't really know. We're not really fighting on any side in the war, so we could go anywhere we wanted, I guess. Just the matter of money holding us back... He stretched his wings out and curled back up. Why don't we ask the owner later on and see if he knows anywhere that would be interesting... He sighed and dozed back off Rayne went inside, leaving Shay out there. She sat down and ordered some food. She sat there, thinking.

Orcus walked out and noticed the new wanted poster was for 5,000 coins. It was the same guy that was walking the street. Orcus appeared in front of the guy and stuck his halberd in his throat. The guy was scared and dropped unconscious, Orcus picked him up and carried him to the guard post. The bounty doubled if he was alive.

Shay watched as the elf carried off the man. He wondered why the guy was so obsessed with money. He'd been watching him walking back and forth with the bodies of different criminals. He spread out his wings and followed him, wondering where he was taking them. Rayne, I'll be back in a few.. He couldn't tell if it was okay with her or not, but he guessed that it would be fine with her.

After Orcus had finished his rounds for the day he headed to his friends house. "I'll be back later tonight but here is what i can pay you so far." Orcus gave him easily 20,000 and of course the guy insisted he couldn't have it but Orcus just left to the bar. He looked up at Shay. Hello, what might your name be?

Shay looked confused at this, but answered anyways. Shay, and yours?
Rayne went back into the kitchen when the owner called her. He asked her to wash the dishes and she did.

My name is Orcus. He continued on and stopped in front of the bar. Would you like to go in or will you keep your flight? Actually, i find it funny that you're hear. Hawks aren't very common in this village.

Shay went down and landed on the railing beside Orcus. I'm traveling with someone. I consider her my sister, so I'll just say we're related that way... And no, I'm just going to head back to the other railing at the restaurant. Shay flew across the street, doing just as he said.
Rayne came outside from the kitchen. "Hey, Shay, come here, I'm getting ready to leave." The hawk flew to her and landed on her outstretched arm. She turned and went inside to get packed.

Well, he's a little dumber than a normal hawk but he's a nice one. Orcus laughed to himself and walked into the bar. He sat back in his table and sighed.

(( WHAT!? x( ..lol maybe cause he's not a hawk! =D ))
Rayne walked outside, the owner beside her. "Thank you for everything." "Miss, are you sure you don't want to stay another night? It's getting dark." "No mam, I'll be fine." She left down the road heading north to cross the river. The lady had said that there was a city north of here, a very busy place, and popular with the younger generation. She decided to go check it out.

Orcus looked on as he saw the hawk leave. Only animal that can keep a decent conversation and he's leaving. He walked to his friends house and gave him what he had left. Orcus followed the child and her bird not trying to disguise himself but making sure he didn't startle them.

Rayne looked back at the guy following them. Don't worry about him, he's cool. "How do you know?" She whispered. I meet him earlier today.. you know the usual name exchange... "You just know his name, that doesn't mean you know him." She sighed. She'd have to get her clothes wet now.

Orcus couldn't help but overhear. He just smiled and continued walking. He didn't have anywhere else to go so he might as well keep his new hawk friend company.

Rayne came out to the river and Shay took flight. She crossed the water and shook off the droplets when she got to the other side. She went under through the trees, Shay still flying above her. She shouted up to him. "Is the city anywhere in sight!?" No, we have a ways to go.. She sighed.
