Kiuma stopped as the lioness darted in front of her, giving her the kind of look a mother will give an unruly cub. Obviously, this girl couldn't make up her mind between rudeness and subservance to find a balance. Well, it took all kinds to make up the world.
"Think for a moment." She said, her voice holding iron in it, the edges sharp. "You come here to flee males, much as the rest of the pride has. We are seen as lesser beings by many outside these lands. Any could look at a group of seemingly unprotected females and think us ripe fruit, easy to pluck and sweet in the mouth. We are hidden because we want to avoid confrontation, but even one like you must know that there are those out there who would do us harm if they could. Then, you look into the Forrest around you and know that it is untended by our kind. There are the natural dangers of the world that will snap up the unwary. Even the river that flows before the dens can easy drown anyone too small or weak to fight its pull." She smiled, still a little harsh, as she chuckled. "Those are obvious dangers. Just the life we live is danger enough, and you will have to accept that if you live here."
Diva she might be, but it came from knowing that if pushed, she could easily knock the pale lioness down, even if she hadn't been so heavily pregnant. She turned and brushed past Nadra, giving her only enough space that their fur didn't brush together. It was a pointed hint that she should watch her manners.
"Midwife, then?" She said over her shoulder to Moray, pausing to let the three catch up and start walking again. "Obviously, that is a very useful occupation in a pride like ours. I'm sure you'll be quite popular, if you know what you're about." She said lightly.

Blinking slowly she simply closed her eyes with a frown as she listened to the woman's words. Huffing she was unmoved as Kiuma walked past her, knowing very well of what she was tying to prove. She merely smiled and giggled as her red eyes opened once again. The part that amused her, was that this lady before her warned a Rouge about danger, and then went on to explain that these dangers where nothing more than the everyday run-ins one would had exploring the outside world. She then went on to explain the standing the pride had with outsiders. Though she didn't admit anything, there was enough evidence that this pride was always stalked by outside males. Obviously there was a history of attacks with this person not giving away their rank; but then again, if this female before them, was strong enough to put up a bold and authoritative face, what fear would she have by giving away her title? Logically there where several reasons, but then again, there where several reasons why logic could explain why Nadra was in no position to fight... Though with words, and the annoyance of pregnancy caused Nadra to be bitter and a bit unruly. However, she always had a youthful/rebellious personality. The bitter time of being alone several months at a time had crippled her social skills.
It should have been obvious, but Moray seen the inner grown lioness within, and with time Nadra began to "grow-up" and gain better social skills, with the help of this Pride, she'd quickly learn how to interact with others on equal and intellectual terms.
Simply enough she followed behind Moray yet again, but gave distance to the group, allowing her mate a large lead, just incase this woman before her had ill intentions. If Kiuma would be defensive, then it'd be smart to mirror her actions.
Going back to Kiuma's previous question, Nadra pondered long and hard, as they strode onwards, letting he conscious slip into the back of he mind and fantasize how she would benefit the pride other than hunting occasionally, and standing watch over her own cubs...
Her voice was much more friendly and calm, proving that the earlier incident had completely faded from her mind, "I have traveled many years on my own, seeing all kinds of people, animals, and prides. She giggled, "Even a few wolf packs." Thinking back on meeting Tu when he was just a young pup, his pride was easily one of the largest to be seen in Africa. She was curious how his pack was doing, a day before she left to continue her travels he was initiated as the Alpha Wolf. That was a long time ago...
Looking back up from thought she finished, "I have many stories to tell, some for entertainment, but also, some to reflect and learn from."

Moray was satsisfied with her new position. She was confidant enough to be able to succeed as a midwife. She loved cubs. She loved the female half of her species. And it was a tender, special thing to be able to help bring babies into the world. "Oh yes. I will try my best!" She said softly, looking quiet proud of herself.
She looked to her mate and felt a deep gratification that she could help Nadra bring into the world the cubs that were to be their own. She did look to Nadra and shook her head with a slight smirk. Her mate was always to bold sometimes. She chuckled, now taking her turn behind Nadra and grabbing her tail as they walked.

When the small group finally broke through the brush to find the river before them, Kiuma turned her face to scan the area, noting which dens were occupied, who was where and doing what. It was second nature now, though she rarely did anything with the information as long as everyone seemed to be getting on.
Turning, she waved her paw at the cliff side dens, then the river and water fall. "Here is where we live. The largest cave is the main one. You may sleep there, or choose one of the dens higher up as your own. Mark it somehow, so others know not to enter without your permission. The river is rather deep, so no cubs are allowed near it without an adult. It's shallowest that few feet before the waterfall, where the ground rises a little and is studded with rocks. You can wade there, or make your way over on the tops of the rocks themselves." She nodded as she settled back to sit, curling her tail around to rest against her paws.
"You are welcome to look around and meet the others. I'll come and see how you are doing later, after I've finished my patrol. Everyone takes a turn at that, by the way, unless otherwise unable to do so. It wouldn't be a good example to the others if I slacked off now." She smiled, the expression a tad harsh. But then, everything about her was.

Moray could feel he excitement building. She for one was not very old in truth and her cub emotions were still lingering behind her adult boy. She started to prance a bit, looking to Nadra and with the biggest grin she could bring forth on her pale maw.
"Oh yes. We will gladly help. If it means a home in which our family can be safe!" She said, her purple eyes flashing. "I will be a guard for days and nights on end if I need too. Anything. Thank you-thank you"! She said, stepping over to give Nadra a snuggle

((OOC: Okay Split, we'll make a quick transition to get our cubs born! LoL))
Nadra simply chuckled as the other female made her way off into the distance, and then... a blinding pain struck down her spine and into the center of her pelvis. It was only brief and even though she had never experienced child birth she knew what she was about to endure. Wincing slightly she limped over to Moray and rubbed against her, she forced her chest to rumble with a rough purr.
"Mum-Moray..." She strained to keep her poise, "It's t-time." Quickly she looked up at the several dens and quickly and forcefully made her way towards an empty den high above the main den...
[Several Minutes Later...]
Making her way into the den she simply hefted her upper half up and drug her claws down along the stone along the right side of the end with both sharpened claws, marking this den as Moray's and hers.
Throwing herself into the den... she begged to Mother Nature that this would pass quickly and painlessly... boy was she in for a big surprise!

Nadra gave their queen a nod and quickly followed her mate quickly. So soon was Nadra feeling the pains of labor. She was grateful that they had made it in time.
