I'm just happy with the passing grade, if I get a high mark that's just a bonus, I don't really give a crap about high grades.

Kneel.... I, being the competitive and stubborn crazy that I am, am annoyed if I get anything below 80%. 90% is great and I have only achieved a full mark two or three times this year.Or you will be knelt...

There's a credit system from this year on for me, so getting the best mark doesn't really matter to me, just getting the 80 credits to pass this year is good enough for me.
You sound like a girl in my class, loves getting a top mark and extremely competitive.

Kneel.... Heh. I refer to getting the highest mark as 'winning'. I am competitive, stubborn and hate to lose.
And I enjoy the sciences, so i put more effort into them and as a result, got the highest YR 11 Chemistry mark that my Chem teacher has ever seen one of his students get.Or you will be knelt...

Go figure.
Wow, good for you, have some Cs. Can't really tell with how our test are marked in NZ but it's just one of those things you get used to.

Kneel.... Yeah, it would be. I think we had A,B,C and D in yr 7, but then the state system changed to just percentages.Or you will be knelt...

Hm, ok. That seems easier to mark too, the markers of our exams have to moderate them all the time because of how the hardness of the questions and the markers themselves vary each year.

Kiiyashi Kneel.... We don't do that either, it is just percentages. Number of questions, or criteria answered correctly, divided by the maximum score and multiplied by 100. Then you have the total percentage score.
And China uses symbols, not shapeshifting.Or you will be knelt... You mean she was using the Adept Arts of Symbology, the entire time, as people[even the girls] go nuts over China? sweatdrop

Kneel.... Nope, China herself has stated multiple times that the effect she has on people is not because of her magic.
And yes, it is easier to mark. Some teachers give out half points for getting the right formula, or getting most of the question right but making a slight mistake, while others are demons who are really, really harsh markers.Or you will be knelt...

There are always some of those in the mixture, can't really do much about them either but round here if you think you got an unfair mark you can get one of the other teachers in the department to moderate it I think.

Kneel.... Yeah, one teacher wrote on my English exam telling me not to write in capitals. I should have writing a sentence in 'normal' handwriting and seen if she preferred to read cryptic chicken scrawl. My handwriting is horrible.
We generally get a chance to look over our tests and exams after they have been marked to see if the teacher has made any mistakes, last year I managed to get an extra 15% on my test because my teacher marked some questions wrong.Or you will be knelt...

Always fun to point out the teachers mistakes, my Maths teacher constantly misses out a number when numbering the questions on the board. It's kind of become a lesson ritual.
I don't know how we would do that with externals since this is the first year that I'm having them but we'll most likely find out when we have mock exams next term.
