"Hm? Oh, sure." the girl commented, sitting down and taking a crayon to idly doodle a bit.
Sadly for the boy, he'd picked the wrong option. If there was any way to get the girl to look away for a bit, keeping her eyes on a hot stove was it. Now she was just doodling and watching him closely. Not that he could see it, considering her eyes seemed to be perpetually shut and therefore no one really ever knew which way they were pointing. Which was kind of useful when she was, say, watching a kid and didn't want to be doing so very obviously.

Cody seemingly noticed this and scowled inwardly. Hm, now, how to change this? He continued to color, thinking hard on how he could possibly divert her attention. Maybe he could drop a crayon and duck under the table to get it and run off then? Nah, that could be a last resort... Hm, this was difficult, since he couldn't exactly tell where Ebony was looking with her eyes the way they were.
"Whatcha drawing?" he asked, glancing up from his picture to look at her and her drawing curiously. He had to think of something... Maybe he could ask for something in a little bit since he did seem to randomly get hungry, much to his mother, and Ary's, irritation.

"Nothing really." the girl responded, and it was an honest answer. Ebony wasn't exactly the artistic type and had been just moving her hand with the crayon against the paper and not taking even a moment to look at what she was drawing. While the work of others seemed interesting, she couldn't bring herself to really want to draw or put any interest in it. It was nothing against the media, she just didn't have the capacity for drawing.

Cody nodded, suddenly wondering if he could fall off the chair and fake hurt himself. She would have to help him up and possibly run off to get the first aide if he pretended to have some sort of cut... No, not worth it.
"Why not? Lots o' things to draw," the toddler commented, returning to his coloring, and thinking. To be honest, he was slowly getting hungrier the more he colored. "Want snack? I hungry now," he finally said once his craving for something to eat became a little more obvious. Mostly because he was being constantly distracted by little things. He knew he had a string cheese hidden in his pocket and some candy hidden in several places. This was definitely going to be a fun game of hide and seek.

Ebony shrugged. "I just don't like drawing, really. It's not my thing." the older spawn explained before grinning a bit at the mention of food.
"Okay, what sort of snack, hm? And care to help me?"

Cody shrugged when asked what kind. "Dunno, and mummy don't like me helping cook much. Knives and china shiny, get hurt or take. Juice in fridge though... And pudding!" he gasped, remembering that his mother had bought it the other day. His wings fluttered happily and briefly forgetting his plan on running off. He supposed it was a good thing that to open the fridge, you had to turn your back to the table and where Cody was, or else his plan would be ruined. Not to mention most of his plans previously and those in the future.

Ebony smiled. "Well what kind of pudding is it?" she asked, still watching the boy casually. "Premade or do we have to assemble it?"
The girl leaned against the counter lightly, watching her charge. He seemed like a nice enough kid, but nice didn't exactly mean he wouldn't be troublesome. If watching Puck had taught her anything, it was to keep a close watch on her charges.

"Gotta make it I think. Mummy jus' said she gots pudding when she went to store yesterday," Cody replied, grinning excitedly. "In... Pant-re ovar there or in fridge with juice," he added, pointing to the small-ish door that led into the pantry. It was near the fridge, thus also in the perfect spot.
Still grinning excitedly and rather innocently, like most toddlers looked, it was hard to believe that he was still planning on how to have the best game of hide-n-seek in the world. At least, to him and as long as Ebony didn't find him too quickly into the game. Then it wouldn't be any fun at all.

"Okay, why don't you be helpful and get me out a mixing bowl and a spoon?" Ebony asked him cheerily, playing his little 'game' and going over to look in the pantry for the box. All right, he'd have it his way and she'd look away. But he'd find her not so willing to play along with other aspects of his wishes.

Cody merely nodded and got off his chair and even went so far as to open the cupboard where the bowls were. Yet, he shifted the metal bowls just enough that they would slide and crash to the floor once he was out of the room and well hidden. Once they were where he wanted, which took only a second to do, he silently ran out of the room when he was sure she wasn't looking.
Unfortunately for Ebony, Cody wasn't lying when he said Shadai had bought pudding, for there was several boxes of pudding mix right at eye level, if not a little lower. As a rather loud, metallic crash sounded, Cody was long gone, hiding in his favorite spot and eating his string cheese happily, waiting patiently for Ebony to come looking for him. He made sure he was rather quiet as he did so, however, since he didn't want to be found just because he was being too noisy.

The black haired girl sighed at this. Oh well, she'd given him the chance to be good. Idly, she picked out a few boxes of the pudding mix and went to clean up the mess, selecting the bowl she needed in the process. No reason not to make the pudding - it'd save Shadai time later - and it'd give her something to do while he was getting himself hidden.
After the bowl was mixed and left to set, the preteen picked a book out of her bag and proceeded into the living room to sit down and seemingly ignore the fact that her ward was hiding. All the while, she was glancing around and listening for any sound that might give her charge away, under the guise of not paying attention. Yes eyes that never looked open but could see were very useful.

So there he waited, finishing his string cheese and stuffing the wrapper in a place where it wouldn't make any noise. All the while, he waited patiently for the older spawn to find him. Or at least express concern on where he was.
After about a half hour, Cody began to wonder if Ebony even cared he was hiding and might have just ran away. Ooh, that would be bad if he had. She would get in soooo much trouble with his mommy. And so, he continued to wait, knowing she had close to no chance at finding him... Or so he hoped.

The girl stood about that time and went to check on the pudding. Nodding a bit, she shrugged. "About a half an hour now." she said calmly to seemingly no one, going back to sit down again. "If you want any pudding, though, you're going to have to come out at some point."
Truly, the purple skinned preteen would much rather be looking for the boy. She tended to like having children where she could find them, but it was her mother's opinion that if one sought the child, it encouraged that sort of behavior. "I don't see why sitting in the same place and doing nothing is so much fun."

Cody frowned as he heard Ebony say something, straining to hear. Something about pudding and coming out... Oh, the pudding was almost done and to get some, he'd have to leave his hiding spot. Pah, not a chance.
She would have to find HIM first. It wasn't like he was doing this to be mean, he was playing a game. Normally he would be trying to stash something, not hide and wait for her to search for him. Sighing softly, the toddler shifted a bit, glad he had chosen the roomier hiding spot he had out of the numerous others. Although, just because it had more space didn't mean it was any more comfortable.

The girl sighed again. She was not her mother and did not have that constitution for such things. "Oh fine. Ready or not, here I come." she called before going to look around the room more obviously and see if she could locate any spots he could hide in. This included under, around and in spaces she could think of. The girl didn't do much hide-and-go-seek so she wasn't the best at picking places.
(XD sorry this is short, I have NO idea where he is nor where to start looking in that house and neither does she)
