Lerena sat down and stared at her two partners. "Hello, Marik." she said with a smirk. "A greeting would've been nice, but I'll you slide since you think blowing up the school would be interesting." She stood up after Akiko finished reading. "Very well. I will stir and heat the mixture. Marik can measure the chemicals. Akiko, it seems that you're very good at giving out instructions, so I leave that to you as well as recording results. Is everyone satisfied with their roles?" She wasn't going to be outdone by Akiko in the decision department. Lerena normally had things her way as it wasn't difficult to persuade anyone important to listen to her.
Renoko was slightly amused by the giggling girls, but she was in boss mode so she didn't have time to slack off. Real bosses didn't let anything phase them while on the job anyhow. "Just listen to me, Jounouchi. I'm not here to make everyone's lives miserable. This will get done quicker if the two of you cooperate. Since I'm the more responsible person in the group, I'll do the hardest part: stir and heat the mixture. Yuugi, you measure the chemicals. Jounouchi, record the results as well as give out instructions. Are we ready to begin? If so, would Jounouchi please read to us what the first few steps are. Should any of us forget a step, it's your duty to remind us, Jounouchi, so don't space out." said Renoko. She loved being in charge and she definitely wouldn't take crap from a couple of guys who thought they could control themselves. These two needed a woman to tell them what to do or they'd definitely mess everything up.
He sighed. "Well, okay." Yuugi answered. Why did Renoko have to be so bossy? She seemed to have a problem with him and Jounouchi choosing their own jobs. Although, he didn't mind measuring the chemicals. He was very good at getting things exact. "Let's begin if everyone's happy." he said nervously.

Marik looked at Lerena with the corner of his eyes. Let him slide? What did that mean? Whatever, she was just a silly girl. Well, at least she thought a little boom in science class would be fun too. OH why did he care anyway? God, he had to remain focused on his true goal here and not get caught up with other people. He wasn't here to be social and make friends damn it. He didn't care what job he had, seemed the two girls were figuring everything out. "Whatever," he said accepting his job none-the-less.
Akiko shifted her eyes from Marik to Lerena. Oh god, she hope these two weren't going to fight. It didn't seem that way though. Marik seemed apathetic and Lerena just seemed to want respect. She didn't blame her, Akiko kinda wanted him to greet the two of them just like her and Lerena did. Oh well, not that big of a deal. "Ok, no problem," she said accepting her job. She didn't mind taking any of the jobs- she new she could do any of them. Although she did feel a bit more relazed recording results. She was very detailed orientated when she had to (or sometimes when she just wanted to). "So we need a bunsen burner, test tubes, measuring cup, and these chemicals," she said and told them the chemicals they needed. "Do you want me to get everything?" she asked but looked at Lerena since she seemed more into decision making. She felt a little bad just telling them what to do, she could help a little.
"Ok...." Jonouchi pouted a bit and just accepted his job. Renoko was just lucky she was a girl, if she was a man he'd be more willing to fight with her. He read off what to do and what to get. "Man, I hate writing...." he mummbled to himself.

((I agree. It does make the pages look nicer.))
"Well, I'll be back with the materials." said Yuugi. "You two try not to kill each other." He made his way to the back table where a few buckets were out so the students wouldn't take a thousand decades getting the materials. Yuugi grabbed a bucket and walked back over to his group. For a moment, he met Renoko's impatient eyes. The bucket was taken from his hands rather abruptly. It wasn't necessarily rude, but the hand that grabbed it was quite demanding.
"When Yuugi returned, Renoko took the bucket from his hands. She was careful not to make it seem like she was being rough. "Alright," she began as she set everything up. "Here's the measuring cup, Yuugi." finished Renoko, handing it to him. "Now that we have everything set up, read us the next step, Jounouchi." ordered Renoko.
For a second, Lerena was glaring at him out of the corner of her eye, but then her glare softened when Akiko mentioned the items they needed. "Yes. The items are on the table in the back." said Lerena. "They should all be in the bucket." Although she did glare at Marik, she wasn't mad at him. She had a similar attitude when it came to working with people besides her sister. Her social skills weren't the best, but she could communicate well enough not to kill anyone. Instead of glaring at Marik, she was now glaring at Yuugi. She detested Yuugi being with her sister with a passion. She deserved a better partner. "Tch...Yuugi's lucky I'm not over there." she whispered to herself.

Akiko nodded and walked off to get the materials. A bunch of other students were their getting what they needed for their own groups. One of the students she saw was a kid with a star shape hair doo. She mentally smiled, it was such a strange thing that she found it fascinating. Perhaps if her hair was shorter she could spike it strangely. Oh yes, and give her mother another heart attack. A few years ago, Akiko thought it would be a good idea to bleach blonde her hair then dye it purple. It was quite successful, but her mom freaked out about it. In fact, she still had the remains of her purple hair at the tips. Oh but she was day dreaming again! She grabbed the bucket and brought it back to the table.
Marik raised an eyebrow when he saw Lerena's corner glare. He folded his arms and glared back at her. He was inbetween apathetic and irritated toward her. A glaring look to him meant disrespect towards him. And nobody disrespected him. But then again, she was just some girl- why should he care? He wasn't sure what she whispered to herself, but she wasn't looking at him so it didn't matter to him. When Akiko came back he rolled his eyes, "Finally." He sat up from his slouch and added, "So what's next?"
Akiko made a displeased face toward Marik while raising her eyebrow a bit. Whatever, she wasn't going to get mad over some kind who was completely apathetic about everything.
Jonouchi chuckled a bit under his breath from Yuugi's comment. Oh god, hopefully she would just stay quiet until Yuugi returned. And that was the case. But of course she would though, why would she try and make small talk. He made a displeased face at her as he was ordered to do something. "Yea yea...." he said looking for the next step. "Just start measuring the dry ingredients first," he said then told them the specifics.

((Yay, I know nothing about which chemicals mix. ;^; This accounts for my writer's block with Yuugi yet again. Renoko can't do much either since I know nothing about Chemistry. I decided to spark some conversation between Yuugi and Renoko to compensate for my writer's block. Perhaps we should just have them be off to Literature or something soon. Literature will of course have yet another group project, because I'm evil and so are the teachers. Bwuhahahahahahahaha. Since I've actually taken a literature class, we can RP longer in it and my writer's block won't be as severe. I also like that hairstyle; it looks nice.))
Yuugi nodded. It made sense to him to measure the dry ingredients first. He began to measure the dry ingredients while hoping that Renoko wouldn't say anything obnoxious to distract him from his job.
She appeared quite bored, but she didn't say anything. If she distracted Yuugi from his job, there was a possibility the quality of her job would be lessened.
"Okay, Renoko, put these ingredients into the...what are you doing?" he asked her. Renoko was staring at his puzzle with desire her eyes.
Her eyes flickered and she stared at Yuugi for a moment before nodding. "Of course. Is something wrong, Yuugi?" she asked with a comforting smile.
He knew that smile was fake. "Renoko, why were you staring at my Millennium Puzzle like that?" asked Yuugi nervously.
"We have work to do, Yuugi. I don't have time for foolish games. Even if I was staring at your puzzle, it wasn't with any interest. Now, I have to mix the dry ingredients, correct?" Renoko confirmed with a slight glare.
"Yuugi, be on the alert. There's something about her that I don't like. If she desires your puzzle, then it's very possible that she'll ask us to duel later. I'm not sure what her abilities are, but let's hope that she's just a person corrupted with a desire for power." warned Yami. He didn't like Renoko hanging around Yuugi one bit, but he couldn't necessarily get in the way of an assignment for school. Renoko wouldn't try anything with the teacher in the room and other students that could witness anything she did.
Yuugi nodded again to tell Renoko that she was correct, but also to his yami too.
"Thank you for your cooperation, Yuugi." Renoko mixed the dry ingredients. "Now, Jounouchi, what do we do next?" she asked him.
When Marik glared at her, Lerena smirked and snickered slightly. She found it amusing that he was actually paying attention to her. Even if the attention was negative, she could still appreciate it, right? What was she thinking?! He was just her partner for an assignment; that meant nothing to her! If she got distracted, Renoko would never forgive her. After Akiko returned, she started laying out the materials in the bucket across the Chemistry table. Akiko seemed annoyed with Marik so she looked at the instructions. "What's next? Oh, I'll tell you what's next. We measure the dry ingredients, and by we, I mean you. After that, give me the measured ingredients so I can mix them together." Why was it so amusing being in a group with this guy? He was obnoxious and disrespectful. Come to think of it, maybe her glare was disrespectful. What?! There was no reason to care about that! The Demonic Sisters care for no man, and Lerena wouldn't start now!

[[Yea, chem is kinda hard for me too ^ ^' the only thing I'm using to work with it is the fact that I have to mix a lot of chemicals together to make glazes for my ceramic class. simple chemistry there. But anyway, sure, literature would be cool. Maybe after that have them go to gym, then lunch?
You can finish up this class in your post if you want to.]]
A snicker? What was she thinking? Ugh, why did he care? This is why he hated interaction between his classmates. It lead to him thinking to much. He didn't want anything to do with any of these sniveling punks. Marik sneered a little. Pushy woman.... although at least she had a backbone. He snatched the measuring cup and beaker with a bit of an attitude, he also glared at Lerena with displeasure. He then turned to Akiko and pointed at her, "You, what do I need?" he said with a tone.
Akiko shifted her eyes back and forth from Marik and Lerena, keeping quiet. She could tell he didn't like her tone of voice. She didn't like being pointed at and being demanded what to do. She sneered a bit but blew it off. He was just some apathetic punk with a bit of an attitude. She wouldn't have to deal with him afterwards. So she just had to get through it. She started telling him the chemical he needed and how much of it.
Marik did as she said, mixing the dry ingredients together, then adding one of the liquid components together to unify it. She then told Marik to pour the mixture carefully in the beaker on the Bunsen burner for Lerena. He did so, but sloppily. A little bit of the mixture splashed out of the beaker, but mixed Lerena and Akiko and hit the table.
Akiko, startled at how quickly and carelessly Marik poured the solution, gasped a little when she saw the splatter. "What are you doing!?" she said aggitated, "I said carefully, her hand could have been burnt by that solution!" The mixture of the chemicals at this point could most certainly burn someones skin. Mild, but still painful enough to be concerned with.
Marik shot a look up at her, "Oh shut up, it didn't hit her did it? No, she's fine." He knows what he's doing.
'Dickhead.....' Akiko thought to herself.
Jonouchi was partially zoning out himself- but he wasn't staring at anything in particular. He only snapped out of it when Renoko asked him what to do next. "Oh!" he said snapping out of it. He skimmed through the paper to see where they were at and what to do next. "Add this solution to the mixture, mix, and pour carefully into the beaker. Heat it up," he said.

((I had enough brain power to write another response. However, everyone's cleaning up and getting ready to go. You're free to change classes though. ^_^ P.E. sounds good and so does lunch. Lerena sucks at P.E. Good heavens, I can only imagine the distress that will be caused for her. She might be sent to the principal's office for being disrespectful. XD))
Renoko added the solution to the mixture, mixed it, and with great caution poured it into the beaker. She heated it up and watched it. "What next?" she asked Jounouchi. "Oh, and by the way, class ends soon so you best write our results fast." she said with a smirk and a quick glance at the clock.
"Everyone, please put up your materials and go to your next class." said the teacher. The bell was ringing, but he wouldn't let his students out until they cleaned up.
"Ah. Well, it was fun, Yuugi. I'm counting on you to tell Jounouchi what to put down. He doesn't seem very intelligent. Although, I'm sure he makes up for it in attitude and strength. That seems to be how life is." she said with a smirk. She insulted him then gave a compliment to balance things out. Her real intention however was to leave Jounouchi feeling angry at her. His irritation made her feel amused. "By the way, the two of you are cleaning up this mess." Renoko said walking over to Lerena and her group. "Hey, do you guys need any help cleaning up?" she asked.
Yuugi was slightly irritated that Renoko left him and Jounouchi to clean up the materials. He thought she was trying to escape putting materials up, but then he heard her offer to help a group clean up. This girl was really obnoxious! Why didn't she want to help her own group? What happened to make her start acting this way? He sighed. "Well, Jounouchi, I'll help you if you need any help after I clean up the materials. I've memorized the results." said Yuugi. He began to clean up around his area.
"I think I can handle it." said Lerena, somewhat offended that Marik nearly spilled chemicals on her. She was holding back the urge to cry quite well, but why did she care so much that Marik was being reckless with chemicals? Her father was a mad scientist, but the problem was that he never told her what he did in his experiments. "Just get me something to clean up these chemicals with, would you Renoko? I have to help Akiko get the results down." First thing was first, she had to help her only responsible group member feel comfortable here. Even if Marik was reckless, Lerena still had a job to do.
"As you wish, Sister." said Renoko with a slight bow. "Oh, and, don't let spilled chemicals ruin your mood. It's bad for your health." Although she wanted to stroke her sister's ego to make her feel better, she couldn't very well draw attention to herself. She walked away and asked the teacher for a towel or anything that could be used to wipe away chemicals.
Lerena decided she might be able to squeeze at least a more positive response from Marik if she apologized for her behavior. She knew she was rude, but she didn't know making him a little irritable would make him mean. No, she should've known. Guys are always mean. "I apologize for my behavior earlier. However, with all respect intended, I'm glad my hand didn't burn off." she said with a snort. She stopped looking at Marik and gave Akiko her attention. "Do you have the results ready or would you like some help with them? If you have them down, I'll help you clean up now."

[[Alrighty then. I'll have them go to Literature and then after that will be PE and then lunch. Sounds good. Haha, I can't wait to see what your going to have Lerena do X3]]
Jonouchi was rushing inbetween writing down what he saw, watching, and looking for the next step to do. This really was the worse job for him to do. And Renoko's superior attitude wasn't helping. "Nyeh...." he mumbled to himself as he wrote like he never wrote before. He looked for the next thing to do, but teacher told everyone to put their things away. "Oh thank god," he said shaking his hand a bit to release the cramp. He looked up at Renoko. Was.... was that an insult or a compliment!? "What's that supposed to mean, huh!?" he said but it didn't matter because she just walked away from them. He then looked at the things they were designated to put away. "Who does she think she is Yuug?" he said though in more of a low voice. He didn't mind strong minded women, but there was no reason to be mean to them. He was pretty sure they hadn't done anything to her. Jonouchi smiled though, "Thanks Yuugi. Yea, I need the last part of the results. And maybe for you to check over them," he said as she started taking some of the tools and putting them in the bucket. "You want me to dump these chemicals in the back?" he said referring to the special sink used for dumping harsh chemicals into rather then the normal sinks.
Akiko frowned a bit. Lerena obviously was upset about almost being burnt- who wouldn't. But still, she carried on with the assignment. Akiko peeked up from time to time to watch the reactions and to watch both Marik and Lerena. She wrote the results down quickly, wanting to have the assignment done and over with. Not because of Lerena, but because of this Marik kid. She didn't want to associate with him at all. A girl walked up to them and asked if they needed help cleaning up. Akiko said quiet as Lerena answered. She smiled and said, "I should be ok with the results, thank you." It was nice to have someone willing to help and be nice. When Renoko walked away Akiko looked at Lerena and asked a bit shyly, "Oh so you two are sisters? Yes you two do really look alike."
It was rather strange, Lerena didn't yell or complain about his actions but the other girl did. Oh well, none of his concern. He just stared at Renoko when she approached their group. Sisters huh? He thought about his own sister, although they were family and he respected- even cared for her, she did not understand him. She didn't understand his goal, his pain and desire. He would always care for his sister, but he could never stay with her. He had to be free. These two seemed to see eye to eye, which agitated him a bit. Why couldn't his own flesh and blood do the same. Oh whatever, who cared! He snapped out of it when she spoke to him. He looked over, not glaring but with his normal rough face. "Don't apologize," he said not caring for her apology. He stood up, "We're done here so I'm going to go to my next class." He grabbed his books and walked away, not offering to help clean up or anything.
Akiko growled a bit. So he's just leaving and not helping! "Seriously?" she murmured irritated he left. Akiko sighed, trying to forget about it. She turned to Lerena and smiled, "The results are done. Thank you for helping." She got up and started putting certain things away. Hopefully her other classes go a bit more smoothly. She peeked over at Lerena, wondering if she was still upset from what Marik did. Probably, she knew she would be if it happened to her. "Are you ok?" she said in a low voice from shyness.

((Awesome. I can't wait for her to give the teacher attitude. XD!))
Yuugi nodded at Jounouchi. When he was finished cleaning up, he told Jounouchi the results. After making sure he had them written down, he rushed to his next class. "Sorry, Jounouchi! I'm almost late." he said clapping his hands together, grabbing his books, and dashing out of the room.
"For a moment, he almost looked...jealous." she muttered to herself. "But why would someone be jealous of me or Renoko?" She snapped back to reality when Akiko asked how she was. "Ah, yes," she replied with a smile. Her voice seemed distant and closed off from the world, almost as if something was keeping her from opening up.
"Yes, Lerena and I are sisters." said Renoko with a smile. "Quite close ones at that. I'm repeating a grade to be in classes with her. Anyway, I'm afraid that Lerena has to go to Literature now. Farewell." She and Renoko walked down the hall to their lockers, which were next to each other upon request by their parents. "Don't let anyone hurt you." Renoko ordered. "Be careful when around chemicals. If someone's unpredictable, that means you have to take measures to keep yourself protected." critiqued Renoko.
"Renoko. Have you ever been jealous of anyone?" asked Lerena seriously.
"What? Who cares? We can talk about this during lunch. We have to go." Renoko grabbed her books and headed down the hall.
Lerena felt relieved that she didn't have to apologize, but somehow saddened that her attempt was flat out denied. Whatever. She had Literature and that class always calmed her down. She could lose herself in the texts that others had written, and more often that not, these stories were fictional. Fiction was her favorite genre of writing, but she was picky with what she enjoyed. Most of the things she read had a dark outlook on things, because of the way she was. The first person she wanted to open up to seemed shy, but she couldn't break down Lerena's 'protective barrier'.
She felt uncertain that anyone in the school would understand her nature, at least, no one besides Renoko. There may be a reason to be jealous of Renoko, but most certainly not her. Lerena was closed off from the world as much as possible, forced to live in a fantasy because of the fact she was different. No one had ever offered to be friends with her since Renoko made it her duty to protect her. Why was it that she couldn't have friends? Simply because of her past, Renoko refused to let anyone know her.
She walked into the Literature room and took her seat, not bothering to care where she sat.
"Man, you're such a dream girl." said Renoko, sitting in the chair beside Lerena. "I wonder what we're going over today. I hope she puts us into groups of two and we have to write another story." Renoko fantasized as she rested her cheekbones in her hands. "We always write what I want to write in the groups I'm put in. I'm just so persuasive." she joked.
The teacher stood up at the front of the room. "Class! Quiet down, please." she ordered before speaking up. "Today, we have a new student, who I will introduce once she gets here. However, please note that I will place you all into groups of two. Your assignment is to write an essay on your partner's past. It must be at least three pages, or as long as it takes for you to answer the questions I will hand out." she explained. "Would the boys please come up and pick a girl's name out of this hat?" requested the teacher, picking up a top hat and shuffling the pieces of paper inside it.

[[ooo, this group assignment sounds interesting ^.^]]
"Oh wow," Akiko said smiling. She didn't have any siblings so she didn't know too much about being close with a sister or brother. She did have a decently big family, part in Japan and the other part back in America. "Oh, ok then," she said as both sisters walked away to their next class. That was her next class too, so she had better hurry. The two girls seemed nice, and they did seem very close to each other.
Marik was already in literature class reading his book again. He hoped he didn't have to get into a group and write some stupid paper. He hated writing. He'd rather read with the class or even better, read quietly and answer some questions. But writing, he despised it. Usually because it was with other people and they had stupid ideas. The worse was poetry, everyone wanted to write some love poem. That wasn't even half of what poetry was about! Rarely poems were about lovey dovey bull crap. There were stories of angst, sadness, anger, revenge, death, life, freedom. He hated the fact he was interested in it, but it was because he did like to read in general. He peeked up to see that the same girl he was working with before sat in front of him. Perhaps she didn't notice or care. He didn't think she wanted to be near him after what happened. Her sister was there too, inseparable were these two. He sighed to himself quietly and continued reading.
"Eeh! I'm late too Yuugi!" he said gathering his stuff. Yuugi was already out the door when he was readying to leave. He didn't bother going to his locker, he never brought his literature book with him. They've been writing recently anyway. He went straight to class and took a seat. He made sure to sit away from Renoko and her sister. When he heard group project with a girl he groaned in displeasure. God, he hope he wasn't partnered with Renoko. Maybe some nice, preferably hot chick, that would be fun. Maybe then he could get her number possibly. Yea, that would be nice. Jonouchi walked up to the desk with the other boys that were already there. He had a slightly devious smile on his face which made it unsure what he was thinking.
Marik lowered his book and looked extremely irritated. God damn, the one thing he hated and the type of assignment he hated. What the hell was he supposed to tell someone about his past? Not only did he have to put up with this assignment, he had to come up with a whole lie about his past. He got up and waited in line as well.
Akiko left and grabbed her book from the locker. She didn't like carrying all her books at once so she figured she would just taken them as she needed them. She walked into class seeing only the boys at the teachers desk. She had a confused look on her face, what were they doing? She looked at the teacher and she gestured for her to stay there before taking her seat.

((I'll send you a PM about it as soon as I pull together the necessary references.
And yes, I look forward to it. So, Marik's making up his past too? Haha. It would be funny if he was paired up with Lerena. They'd both be making up their past. XD The idea was to have an assignment that both Lerena and Marik would despise though.
I hope you don't mind if Yuugi is paired up with Renoko, unless you'd rather have Jounouchi paired up with her. That might be kind of funny. I doubt Jounouchi would tell Renoko about his father especially since she'll be lying about her past like Lerena.
Fudge...if the teacher puts Akiko with Yuugi and Renoko, Jounouchi or Marik won't have a partner O__O! You can put one with some random extra. I can be the extra if you'd like.
Personally, I think Jounouchi might be creeped out by Lerena's fake past, so in order to keep him from screaming in horror, it might be best to put Marik with Lerena. With the way Lerena's going to describe her past, it would probably be more than Jounouchi could handle. He may be able to handle regular fights, but I'm not sure if he can stand being partnered up with a fake witch.
OH, look at this hilarious phobia! -Anatidaephobia — fear that somewhere, somehow, a duck is watching you.))
"What?! Teacher, I can't talk about my past! That's confidential information!" said Renoko standing up immediately.
"Then you can fail, Renoko. I know all about your past. I look forward to hearing about it." the teacher said with a cruel smirk.
"Like hell I'm telling anyone of my past!" growled Renoko. "It's extremely personal! My sister would never forgive me if I talked about our past!"
"I'm sure Lerena won't mind since it's an assignment, Renoko. Do hold your tongue or you'll be sent to the principal's office...again." she finished with another smirk.
Her eyes widened at the teacher's rude remark. How could she just say something that confidential so openly?
"Try Plan B, Renoko." whispered Lerena.
"I intend to, Sister." Renoko whispered back. Neither of them could afford for someone in this school to know of their past. It would give them a reason to use the information against the Demonic Sisters.
"Renoko?" repeated Yuugi as he looked around to notice Renoko whispering something to Lerena. He walked over to her and poked her on the shoulder. "Um, so I guess we're partners..." said Yuugi. "Hopefully your past is better than mine." he said with a small laugh.
Lerena glared at Yuugi. "You're partnered with my sister? I can't believe this. You best not bore her with details of your pathetic life!" she threatened.
"Oh, come on Sister. It's not really that bad. Yuugi knows how to do what he's told after all." she said with a smirk. "Although, he may be the most interesting partner I've ever had so I don't think he'll bore me much." Her eyes moved to Yuugi. "That is, as long as he doesn't lie about his past."
Yuugi blinked, confused. "I wouldn't do that. I just don't want to bore you is all. Lying might make my past more interesting though. Are you sure you want me to be honest?"
"Oh, completely honest, Yuugi, down to why that item of yours seems so precious to you. Well, we best get started." said Renoko with a heart-warming smile.
That smile of hers scared him even if it was supposed to calm him down. "Well, okay, then. The first paragraph is basically an introduction. What's your name, where you were born, do you have any siblings, etc etc." he explained. While Renoko was writing down the basics to hand to him, he looked at her. "Um, why does your sister seem to be against us being partners? And for that matter, why do you seem to be so quick to judge men?"
"Gawd, I hate his guts!" Lerena said, breaking her pencil. "I hate you Yuugi, because you don't have what it takes to understand me or my sister. Just do the assignment and then leave her alone, got it?" She didn't bother letting Renoko answer for herself. She hated Yuugi for being paired up with her sister. Her sister hated men ever since her crush turned her down. That wasn't important for Yuugi to know though.
Renoko laughed. "Isn't her protectiveness attractive, Yuugi? The man who catches her heart truly will be lucky. So, here is the information for the first paragraph. I figured I'd write it out for you, because it's difficult to remember all this information when it's thrown at you all at once." she handed Yuugi a paper she tore out of her notebook. "I'd like for you to do the same thing." she said to Yuugi. "My memory isn't the best after all."
"Uh, right. Well, thanks. I'll be sure to write it down for you then, Renoko." He wrote down his introduction in his own notebook, then tore out the paper for Renoko.
Lerena thumped her fingers on a desk after getting out a pen. It was much harder for her to break a pen anyway. While her future partner was busy in line, she formulated a fake past to tell him. Something interesting would do nicely, but hopefully nothing too boring. What was she supposed to say though? She bit her lip. She absolutely detested lying when it came to talking about herself. However, it had to be done. Ah, yes, something fake, but not boring? Lerena had the perfect idea. If she based her past around witchcraft and black magic, then it would be just interesting enough to compensate for her depressing past. Her family had to be portrayed as worse than they actually are, however, to create a sense of fear or interest in her partner. It was fake so it didn't matter anyway.
The teacher saw that everyone was grouping up with their partners. "Everyone, look at the front for a moment. This is Akiko Kuruten. She's new at this school so make her feel welcome." said the teacher, directing her hand to Akiko who was waiting patiently. She explained the assignment to Akiko. "Since your name isn't in the hat, we'll have to pair you with an existing group. Just do a partner of your choice. Let's see...Yuugi and Renoko. You can be with them. I'm sure you'll find that Yuugi is an excellent person to work with. Unfortunately, Renoko is in a bad mood right now, so Yuugi is probably the better person to do an essay on."

[[Sounds good :3. I wasn't sure who to put Akiko with. She would do well with Yuugi or Jonouchi, and there were possibilities with Renoko being with either as well. Oh yea, Lerena and Marik were defiantly being pared together XD. I was going to have her with Jonouchi but I think putting her in Renoko and Yuugi's group would be interesting X3
hahahahahaha!!!! really? that's amazing. I had to do this XD: http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g165/manda_manman/scaryduck.jpg ]]
"Lerena," he said looking at his slip of paper. Wait a minute, why did that name sound familiar? s**t..... that's right, that was the girl he was with in chemistry, the one he almost spilt chemicals on. He turned around, looking for her. He remember what she looked like. He saw her sitting there, already looking aggravated about something. Well, shouldn't this be interesting? Was she still displeased with him? Didn't matter really, what was she going to do to him after all? Marik walked up to her and sat down. "Go ahead, tell me your past," he said uninterested and not giving her the option to go first or second. He still needed time to think up his own fake past. Something mundane like everyone else. But he didn't know what other people's lives were like. Damn it! Why couldn't he be paired with Yuugi? He could have found out some information! No, instead it was boys with girls. Of course. Rotten school, rotten project!
One by one guys were picking names out of a hat. They called out a girls name and then paired up. Ugh.... not another group project. She didn't really mind being with a guy, she's had plenty guy friends before and got along with them well. But these were boys she didn't know. God knows if she was going to have one slobbering all over her. Certainly she wasn't sexy and attractive, but some boys didn't care as long as they had tits. She looked very uneasy and nervous. She was going to get an ulcer by the end of the day just from worrying! Her luck with health she probably would too.
The teacher introduced her- to a lot of the same people. Then she explained to her what the assignment was about. Akiko's face grew paler and paler. She didn't want to talk about herself to strangers! Let alone, tell them certain things about her past. Sure, most of it were good times, but there were some pretty bad ones too! Ones she didn't want to dig up! Ughhh..... today was starting to suck. The teacher pointed out her group she had to join because there was an odd number of students. She sat with them quietly, seeming to be looking down from shyness. Instead, she slipped out her phone and quickly texted her friend back in the States. She wrote, "I have to tell someone about my past, what should I say?" Within a few seconds, she got a response saying, "LOL, say you lost your arm in Nam." Akiko closed her eyes and covered her mouth trying not to laugh or make it apparent she was laughing. She loved her friends back home, no matter how crazy or weird they were.
He looked at the paper and back at her. He had to get basic information first. "So what's your full name? Where were you born?" he asked trying to get this thing rolling. Perhaps he could try and pretend to be interested and work through this assignment? It could save him a lot of unnecessary stress. But trying to act decently nice and interested took a lot of energy. He cursed at the gods for making it so he had to win the puzzle in a game. If it wasn't for that he would simply push that little twerp over and take what was rightfully his. Marik was staring over at Yuugi and growling to himself. He almost snapped a pencil himself.
Akiko looked at the two of them after she hid her phone away. How far did you guys get?" she asked. The teacher told her to do the essay on the boy and that the girl is in a bad mood. That was Lerena's sister, they kinda talked before. And the boy, oh hey it was star head! Neat, she could find out how he did that to his hair. She doubted it though, but what ever. "How are we going to do this with three people?" she asked a bit mousy.
[[I skipped Jonouchi for now cause he's with some random person and I couldn't think of anything good for him right now XD]]

((AHHHHHH! That picture is scary! ;^; Atemu comes into the picture, haha. I got tired of being Yuugi.))
"My full name is Lerena Leigh Helena. I was born in America in a private village; that is, one mostly closed off from the public. I'm sixteen years old with one sister and one brother." she began. Her eyes were still on Yuugi, but that didn't mean she didn't notice that it was Marik speaking to her. She was telling the truth so far, because this information didn't tell people anything about her past. As long as she avoided staring at Marik, he wouldn't see when she was lying. Her eyes easily gave away when she was lying about something, because they changed from purple to red, though her victims never knew this; they thought it was black magic.
Yuugi looked back at Lerena when he felt eyes staring at him. Not only was Lerena staring at him though, Marik was as well. "Err..." he muttered nervously. Marik staring at him didn't bother him as much, but then again, girls made him much more nervous. "Lerena, would you quit staring at me?" he requested with a sigh.
"I can do whatever I want, fool." Lerena said throwing him the hand. "After all, I'm taller than you." she added with a cruel snicker.
He was afraid to tell the teacher with someone like Renoko in his group. Was he supposed to just take this from her? "Well, if you don't mind, it's distracting me from my work." he shot back nervously. "And I think your partner would appreciate your attention."
"I'll give it to him when he says he needs it. For now, I'm quite content staring at you." Lerena answered with her arms crossed. Marik had time to write down what she said, so she looked at the questions list for the first paragraph. He needed to know her arch rival next, and past or present didn't matter. "My arch rival is Yuugi Mutou for personal reasons."
"Yuugi, would you prefer I take over for awhile? If you say yes, put your hand on the puzzle. If you say no, cross your arms." said the spirit of the puzzle. He didn't like to see Yuugi like this especially since he'd have a much better chance of not being disturbed by anything Lerena had to say. "I trust that you'll tell me about your past." he said.
Yuugi put a hand on the puzzle as he looked hesitantly to Lerena. What if she noticed the slight change in his posture, voice, and personality? This didn't matter as long as his yami was in control.
"I don't see how it's possible for me to anger someone I don't know." interrupted Atemu.
She froze. There was a sudden change in Yuugi's voice and personality. She could feel a change of atmosphere around Yuugi now, almost as if he was more confident and willing to face her! This information came from his posture alone. Damnit! She wanted a split personality! That wasn't fair! Someone like Yuugi...grrr. She was cursing at Satan for making her feel so much jealousy. "It's easy when someone you hate has something you want, but you can't have it simply because of your past and your ability to hold lifelong grudges." said Lerena cryptically to Yuugi. She stopped staring at her arch rival and started paying more attention to Marik.
"Sorry you had to see that...I was having an episode." she explained as she closed her eyes. "My first love interest was a boy named Kiba. That's such a stupid thing to ask!" she said opening her eyes and glaring at her desk. "I hate anything to do with romance! All he ever did was write me love poetry in order to 'impress' me. Love does not impress me, but poetry about horror, pain, jealousy, rage, hate, depression, and suffering does! Oh, sorry; I'm rambling. Tell me the question after that, please." she requested, closing her eyes again and resting her forehead on her palm.
Unlike Renoko, her first crush didn't bother her to talk about. In fact, she hated her first crush. He's why she now hated romance. Only someone who understood the true meaning of hatred could be with her, but hopefully such a person would never come around to catch her interest.
Atemu chuckled lightly. So Lerena hated him because of his ability to make friends? Well, that was one person down. Why was Marik staring at him though? Hm. If this Marik person also hated him, he was wondering why Lerena couldn't just make friends with him and be done with it. He turned to his partners. Renoko, from what he observed, was a lot like Kaiba. It might be difficult to work with her, but Akiko seemed easy to work with.
"Yuugi and I got past the introduction." explained Renoko. She chuckled at her sister's behavior. "If you'd like, I already have some information for Yuugi. You could do me if you want, but my past is quite frightening. I'm Renoko Mai Helena, I'm seventeen years old, I have one sister, and one brother. I was born in a closed off village. My arch rival is anyone who messes with my sister."
"Sounds like Kaiba in the protectiveness-over-your-sibling department." pointed out Atemu. "Anyway, this is how I think it should go. Renoko can do me, I can do you, and you can do Renoko. She's not really as mad as the teacher said. I think she's calmed down some." he suggested to Akiko.
Renoko froze, her eyes widening, and trying to hold back tears. Kaiba? What? That was ridiculous! Like she could ever pull off that a*****e's personality! "Don't mention him. Please..." Renoko requested softly. For the first time, she didn't seem demanding of Yuugi, but rather asking for a favor from him.
"Oh, Renoko. You left out the first crush part in the first paragraph." said Atemu looking over her information. "You might want to add that in."
Renoko snorted. "There's a reason I never put that in. Look, I know you're just trying to do the assignment, Yuugi, but you're getting what I give you. Getting a couple of points off for not having my first crush isn't going to kill you."
"Was it Kaiba, Renoko?" he asked. "A crush is nothing to be ashamed of, but he's not really the best person to develop one on."
"Look, I told you not to mention him, okay? Just because I have a bit of a reputation doesn't mean I don't have this thing called 'feelings'." she said angrily. "So, Akiko, you can do me. Just ask Mr. Split Personality for the paper I wrote my information on." said Renoko sarcastically. She really really hated Yuugi now, or at least his split personality. Her feelings were neutral with him before, but now she truly felt her sister's hatred.

[[hee hee hee hee XD It scared me at first too XD]]
Akiko peeked up to see her previous group staring at their group. Her? No, at the boy. Yuugi was his name? Odd, oh well. She didn't think much of it until he seemed bothered by it. When Lerena said she could because she was taller, Akiko instantly lowered her head and sighed a little, "Oh...." She wasn't all that tall either. It didn't bother her as well. She stayed quiet as both of them bickered. What was she going to do? She didn't know either of them. Lerena was kinda bullying, but she was nice to her.
Marik started writing down her information. He wasn't suspicious about her looking away from him, not yet at least. He thought that was just how she was. But, she looked at him while she spoke in the other class. She was angry? Ha, fine then- if that's the case then it was kinda funny. But it didn't seem that way, perhaps she was mad at the assignment? Couldn't blame her. God damn, what was he going to tell her? Although he was mainly concentrating on writing, he heard her teasing Yuugi- which was pretty funny. If it wasn't for his cover, he would have joined her. But he had to get close to him, to find his weaknesses. He looked up at him and smiled a little- to reinsure he wasn't a part of her teasing. It killed him to do it, but he did.
Marik looked at Lerena and blinked a little in confusion. "Huh?" he said disbelieving what he heard at first. Well it was a little random, but entertaining none-the-less. He wanted to say that he was his arch enemy as well, but again it would jeopardize the cover. Not to mention he may have had to explain. "Oh.... how come?" he asked curiously but trying to make it sound like it was a strange thing for her to say.
Akiko slumped down in her chair a bit. She felt incredibly uncomfortable from the two of them going back and forth. She was especially nervous when Yuugi seemed to stand up for himself. She didn't know him that well, so she didn't think nothing about his change. However, she felt a change- she didn't know what it was. Right now, she was more worried about a fight.
"It's fine," he said a little bit more calm then before. He was strangely interested in her hatred for her hatred. He dazed out a bit when she mentioned about someone having something you want and can't have. Sounded like his situation.... she didn't.... No! Of course not! She couldn't have known. His eyes were widened for a second in his thoughts, but snapped out of it when she told him her first crush. As he jotted it down, she spoke of how she felt about love and romance. "Why do people think poetry is all about love and such? When most poetry is about life struggles?" he said getting caught up in her small rant. What was he doing?! How the hell cared that she had the same view on poetry as he did!? Damn it! He hated these projects!
Akiko looked over at Renoko as she told her what they have accomplished so far. "Um, ok. Sure," she said hoping the tension between Lerena and Yuugi had ended. She wasn't too worried about a horrifying past- she knew that not everyone had easy pasts- it's never expected. She started writing down the information that Renoko gave her. She knew that Renoko was sisters with Lerena, but who was her brother? "Does your brother come to this school too?" she asked knowing nothing about him. She was a bit confused with the arch rival question. Seemed a bit odd to her.
She looked over at Yuugi and smiled a little and nodded. She chuckled a little about what he said about Renoko and the teacher apparently over judging her. She watched as these two now went back and forth. Was this going to happen to everyone she was partners with? Kaiba? Who was Kaiba? She looked around to see if anybody looked up- thinking Kaiba could be in the room and heard his name. No response. Well, she certainly wasn't going to get Renoko angry and ask who he was. Although, Kaiba sounded strangely familiar. It shouldn't, she didn't know anyone here. But the name itself..... she knew she's heard it before. She nodded and looked at Yuugi, "Can I have the info you have on Renoko?" She didn't mind about not having Renoko's answer to first crush- minimal points lost.
She looked down a bit, ok it was her turn. "My name is Akiko Kuruten, I was born in Okinawa Japan. My family moved to the States when I was still a baby. I'm part Japanese and part Italian. No siblings, and...." she said but stopped. Did she have to mention this too? She shuffled her feet a little and continued, "uh.... parents are divorced. I live with my mom and step dad." She smiled a little though when she mentioned her step dad. She hadn't called him that in a long time- they were so close that she just out right called him 'dad'. She didn't mention first crush either, hopefully he would skip over that?
Marik knew he had to start telling her his information. "My name is Marik Ishtar, I was born in Cairo, Egypt. I'm full Egyptian. I have an older sister," he said telling her the truth so far. "Parents are deceased," he added but left it at that. He wasn't going into more detail about it. "First crush, none. My most memorable moment is....." he said and stopped. Damn, he didn't know what to say. He didn't really have one, except when he found his parents dead before him. "Uh.... when me and my sister went to.... Paris. We went to the.... Pablo Picasso museum. She really wanted to go so I went with her," he lied. He had to try and think faster then that if he was going to make this believable!

Lerena jotted down Marik's information in her notebook, but stopped when he described his memorable moment. It seemed that he hadn't given much thought to his past, or for lack of a better phrase, 'fake' past. She had to ignore the fact she knew Marik was lying. It hurt her, but she didn't know why. Even though she was lying too...how could people not trust her after all the suffering she's been through...no! She wasn't going to start thinking that! If she was lying, that gave her partner the same rights!
"My most memorable moment is..." she stopped. What was she going to do? She hadn't given much thought to her most memorable moment. "Let me think to my past a bit. So much has happened." She placed her fingertips together and formulated a fake memorable moment. "When my brother was adopted. We're so close, but of course, it took awhile to put him in line. He once wanted to kill me. Okay, that's the first paragraph. I've written down your information, even the fake parts out of respect." Lerena, of course, had lied about her most memorable moment and her brother still had some problems to work through. However, if Marik was lying to her, she'd definitely lie right back. If he had a problem with that, she wouldn't mind hearing about it though.
She allowed herself to look at him, but her eyes were red instead of their usual purple color. She only hoped that he wouldn't detect the significance of this change. "To answer your question about poetry, most people just flat out suck. Believe me. I learned that the heart way. Why is Yuugi my rival? Well, he has something I want. And if Renoko was so calm as to not go berserk over Yuugi being her partner, I'm willing to bet he has something she wants as well. I'm sure the only thing that Yuugi might have worth a flip is that puzzle around his neck. He guards it with his life for some reason and I have a feeling he lied to my sister about its value. I have my reasons. Anyway, it's time we move on. Apparently both of us hate discussing our pasts. It's a sensitive topic for me and you'll see why in the paragraphs to come." Lerena found herself in a knot. Would Renoko be able to duplicate a believable explanation on their past containing a similar nature?
Although, she had a feeling that her TRUE arch rival was now attending this school. If this was the case, she could've persuaded the teacher to give out this assignment just so the teacher could give her any dirt she found out about the two Demonic Sisters and how to beat them. "I wonder..." she said biting her lip and not realizing she had just said something out loud. She was now staring at the teacher, who was grading papers. This teacher was very materialistic and quite evil to note.
Listening to her sister discuss her past, Renoko smiled. "Yes, my brother does attend this school, but he's a first year. My most memorable moment is when my adopted brother broke the family's priced vase. It was so fun bossing him around as his punishment." Although this wasn't a lie, it was worth telling everyone, even Yuugi.
Atemu jotted down Akiko's information then gave Renoko his. "My name is Yuugi Mutou. I was born here in Domino City. I'm an only child regrettably, my first crush is Anzu Mazaki, and I am sixteen years of age. My arch rival is Seto Kaiba. My most memorable moment is when I received this ancient Egyptian artifact from my grandfather. That is why it's so precious to me, Renoko." explained Atemu with his hand on the Millennium Puzzle. "Haven't you ever received a precious gift from someone?"
"That is no fair," Renoko said with a sigh. "I thought it was something juicy, like a spirit inside that puzzle! It's the oldest thing in the book, but it's still juicy enough to catch my interest!"
"I'm afraid there's nothing supernatural about this item, Renoko." answered Atemu apologetically. Admittedly, Renoko had figured out there was a spirit inside the Millennium Puzzle, but it wouldn't be a good idea to let her know that. "Would either of you care to tell me the contents of the next paragraph?" Atemu asked.
