nothing is at all wrong with Pokemon contests.

However, your profile is not in sync with the skeleton that I have set up in the main rp. Your name must be a color, you have to expect to battle, therefore you must have a weapon, and even though your character may prefer contests, you still must have the fighting ability to a member of the plot's SPE because you deal with criminal organizations that are hell bent on disrupting the pokemon world.

Also, your trainer isn't just some average one. You are as close to being god-like as ever, which is why you are a member of the SPE.

So, all that said, please read through the first few posts in the main RP. You will find all the information there.

I did a quick google search on "Color Carmen." You're sort of right. Carmen is a kind of color pattern, not necessarily a color. However, "Carmine" is a shade of red.

I'm not a guild officer or anything, but I am this RP's GM, a.k.a. game master. I write up a setting and a plot that all who would like to join the RP should read and follow. In the actual RP, from the second post on, I've provided a storyline for RPers to follow, a few rules to abide by, a skeleton in which to create a character, and a place for accepted profiles and possible color choices.

If you'd like to join the RP, you'll need to read the plotline and other administrative things in the RP as well as fill out the profile skeleton. Once you're finished, you submit the profile (eg. post it here) and await my approval before starting to post in the RP.

Yours does not need to include pictures, but it all must be filled out. I understand that you want to have a trainer that specializes in contests, which is fine. However, once you read the plotline, you will need to be able to defend yourself from harm and that means fighting.

In the RP itself, the form in which you are currently using I would call "Semi-Literate." There are three kinds of RPs, illiterate, semi-lit, and literate.

Illiterate RPs are full of emotes, *action* kinds of punctuation, and usually one-line responses and written in the first person with usually no plotline per-se.

Semi-lit RPs usually have a story, but may be written in a first person style with less use of *action* but still use short responses.

I see Sugary Sweet and I say hello. *Waves*

Literate RPs are written in the third-person and use correct english punctuation and grammar, well we try to anyway. Usually, posts in these RPs are longer and very descriptive.

Spcy sees Sugary Sweet heading towards him. "Hi," he says, smiling as she passes by, "wonderful day today isn't it?"

I hope the above helped a little. I must insist that you read from the 2nd post in the RP to get a hold of the story, get the guidelines to create a character, and post a new profile in this thread.

I know that the RPs you're used to go fast with short lines of text. The RP I have created is of the literate fashion and is designed so that RPers post less but create more with each post that they submit.

I like the changes. However, members of the SPE are GODS in training, fighting, and in your case, contests!

That said, you don't need that number of ribbons because if you're a member of the SPE, you'll be THE contest trainer to beat with an enormous amount of ribbons you could probably swim in them!

Also, when you say coordinator, is that what they call pokemon contest participants?

Anywhos, all SPE members must be recruited by pokemon leagues and in your case, contest officials, that believe that you are an elite in your ability to use pokemon successfully in combat as well as in your chosen line of competition. So your fighting style doesn't necessarily have to use attacks that damage! If you read my character PINK's profile, she fights using attacks that disable. You could use your contest attacks in battles and fight using, say, glamorous attacks that do absurd amounts of damage or create status effects.

So this all said, you will have defeated another SPE member in battle to be considered to become a member, rather than what is currently in your history as the SPE just thinking you were a good idea because of your contest experience rather than combat experience.

Again, your character is a GOD/GODDESS in fighting, training, and contests. So Carmine is waaaaay above and beyond the abilities of a normal trainer. smile

If you'd like to make changes, feel free.

well, since you wanted your character to prefer the pokemon contest, I thought maybe you'd fight like that too. You use flashy moves and can easily dazzle and confuse opponents as well as specialize in attacks like Attract and Sweet Kiss that can stop other pokemon from wanting to hurt your pokemon. Just because you fight doesn't mean you have to use violence.

I think the bottomline here is that in the RP, your trainer is GODLIKE, in other words, practically unbeatable. So for Carmine, she is almost impossible to beat in both a pokemon contest as well as a battle. While being god-like is a big no-no in most RPs, i think in this one it fits.

@ all: Okay, I'd like to point out that we'll need to try and be more descriptive in our actions when we RP.

I think a few tips are in order here.

1. Take your time! I understand that other RPs go and lightning paces. This one should be a bit slower paced. This will also help us keep time with each other's characters.

2. RP your characters' personalities and RP the moment. What I mean is get into the shoes of your character and the event taking place and RP accordingly. If the action is fast-paced, you wouldn't be walking or if the event was dark and gloomy, you wouldn't act happy.

3. Details. Type out what your character is doing. In other words, tell about how they're moving, thinking, reacting, etc.

eg. Blue looks at his phone. He has a call and answers it, "Hello?"

Blue feels his phone vibrate in his pocket. Digging into his pocket, he retrieves his phone, flips it open, ...Pink...what does she want... he thinks to himself as he depresses the "answer" button. His shoulders slump and in a nice a voice as he can muster he says, "Hello Pink, how can I help you?"

Try to add more detail into your posts. smile

Personality: Krimmy can be serious when she has to be; fun to be around with and is funny. She cares for her friends and is imtimidated by competetion. She is strong physically and tries her best every second of the day. She is shy at first, but when she gets to know you better, she will start to be more hyper and energetic around you.

Training Style: Krimmy mainly focuses on her pokemons’ attack and speed stats. Making sure they get the first hit in, with the hardest hit they can muster.

History: She has always loved pokemon and has an older brother that was her rival. Her mom and dad would always laugh when they would get into a quarrel. When her brother left the house to become a pokemon master, she too, pursuited to become a pokemon master.

Pikachu is Krimmy's first pokemon that she ever had caught and they both bonded afterwards. They have been together for a while and have learned to love each other as they spend more and more time with each other.
Pokemon 2: Snorlax [Moves: Hyper Beam and Body Slam]
Snorlax is the pokemon that was always there for Krimmy whenever she felt hurt, sad, or needed someone to hug. Snorlax has always been there for her for each sad and happy moment.
Pokemon 3: Dragonite [Moves: Outrage and Wing Attack]
Dragonite is one of Krimmy's heartful and loving pokemon that she loves. Dragonite always take Krimmy's side everytime there was needed for a side-taking.
Pokemon 4: Lapras [Moves: Ice Beam and Hydro Pump]
Lapras was a special gift to Krimmy from her parents. Lapras was there to always save her from the ocean's waves and will always have a special bond with Krimmy.
Pokemon 5: Umbreon [Moves: Moonlight and Quick Attack]
She came to Krimmy's household injured and Krimmy took care of Umbreon until it was fully healed and until it felt better. Umbreon was very grateful for what Krimmy had done for her so she stuck by her.
Pokemon 6: Kangaskhan [Moves: Mega Punch and Bite]
Kangaskhan had been looking for food when Krimmy gave her some berries to eat. Kangaskhan came again the day after and Krimmy gave her more berries. Kangaskhan grew attached to Krimmy day after day and is now one of Krimmy's best friends.
